This was built as a Catholic palace. The architecture and gardens are stunning. I also liked being in the neightborhood close to the Piazzale Arnaldo and the Museo Santa Giulia. I am grateful that it was affordable for traveler on a budget. I must have stumbled into a last-minute deal. There were excellent conference rooms, although I did not need them.

The only thing I did not like is that my room faced the back garden to the west which meant that the room heated up in the afternoon. There was AC, but I personally don’t like the baking heat of afternoon sun. One other pet peeve I have is that breakfast costs an extra 20 Euros. I am old school. European breakfasts used to be included in hotel price. This amounts to over $25 in US dollar which is too much for breakfast. Almost all hotels do this now I am sad to say.

The atmosphere of the building is just gorgeous. My original reservation was a single room with a garden view, but they gave me a superior room with air conditioning and a balcony with city view. I guess it’s because of the hot weather or availability, but it turned out to be a very comfortable stay.

Just a minor thing but it’s nice to have some more amenities, like a bottle of water or a fridge in the room. It was a bit confusing in terms of restaurants inside the property. It seems there are 2 restaurants but one of them was closed all the time. The staff at the breakfast was a bit unhelpful when I didn’t know how to proceed (I entered the buffet room and told my room number and asked for a coffee, but they said I should sit at the table first so that they can get an order).

Excellent. The hotel is located close to all the attractions. It is a historic building with long corridors, monumental staircases, and decorated ceilings. The room is cozy, equipped with air conditioning, a wardrobe, a writing desk, a bed with a comfortable mattress and a soft pillow. The bathroom has a toilet, bidet, and a shower cabin with shower gel. The window overlooks the inner courtyard with a magnificent garden. Breakfast is served buffet-style with polite staff. The reception is staffed by professionals ready to assist with any questions.

We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the start of the Mille Miglia I.e. it is a short walk to the centre of Brescia. The hotel feels large and open, with wide corridors and garden space, which was ideal for an excellent leisurely breakfast. Our room was large, with a bathroom and a balcony, all of which was very comfortable. I can also say that all the staff were very helpful, giving us advice, directions and other information.

The bathroom looked a little outdated but was perfectly clean and functional.

The location was fantastic with in easy walking of most of the important sites - archeology, art museum, and other museums. The courtyard was lovely and the hotel precincts were quiet but within an easy walk of the centre of Brescia. Lot’s of good places to eat nearby. The hotels Bistro was also quite good and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was good. The staff were very helpful, storing our bags until we caught a very late train on our last day in Brescia.

The bed could have down with some extra padding as you could feel the coils, otherwise everything was excellent.

The hotel appears to be a converted monastery and is a large complex with an internal courtyard. The room provided was large but a little spartan. Breakfast was very good and served in a separate room or in the courtyard. Parking was included as was in a separate secure area within the complex. The hotel was easy walking distance from the centre of Brescia and close to the castle.

The number of power sockets was very limited and difficult to access. Fridge was small.

Unforgettable, we experienced its luxurious architecture at a modest price. Highlight was the expansive palazzo garden with several seating areas to read under massive conifer canopies. Exquisite landscaping and the 10meter high windows surrounding the garden elevated the estate's feeling of escape and luxury, even 5 star hotels can not afford these expensive design features. The rooms are off on another block of building at the back beside a car park, but it sets you away from general dining noise. Enjoy coffee or meal in the garden. A true italian sanctuary. The dining staff are very kind. You feel extremely welcomed and calm with enjoyment. We will be back any time we return to Milan. The St Giulia Roman ruins museum is one of the best Unesco must see's!

Lovely hotel in a stunning building with gardens with easy walking distance into the centre of town. Great onsite parking. Really good breakfast. Had a good evening meal in the garden too which was lovely No aircon in the room we booked and we had to pay to upgrade to one which did (they did kindly waiver the parking fee to compensate a little) - it was during a heatwave so little choice ! The machine was incredibly noisy but we did sleep.

Amazing historical property in the heart of the city of Brescia. Location, hotel, property, cleanliness, comfortable room and bed as well as the balcony with view of the church in the city square, the unbelievably pleasant staff, and the church in the compound of the property was like nothing we had experienced before. Will highly recommend you stay if you are ever in Brescia.

We had a room facing the backyard, so it was incredibly quiet. Parking is good and large. Breakfast was good and the staff extremely nice.

I’m very frustrated with no instructions about Brescia city center car entry regulations - there are signs everywhere that you cannot enter including on the street to the hotel. I also parked in the city center at Piazza Vittoria (official central underground parking) but I learned later it is not allowed to enter the city center by car without a permission! The sign “ZTL is closed” does not mean to me, as foreigner, anything. It is unclear and I saw many other cars e.g. from GB, Netherlands, etc. who made the same mistake. Expecting a fine now from 80€ to 330€. It’s not a normal hotel, it is a catholic center, there is a church right on the territory and some special groups having lectures or so. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I don’t like it but this should be probably made clear.
