The B&B del Toscano is close to the University of Catania. Easy self check in and fast and effective communication with the owner. It is very easy to walk around or take a bus to reach the center. The rooms are large, clean and bed comfortable. The external bathroom not extremely convenient. For breakfast you get a coupon to be used in a nearby bar. But you have a kettle and cups in case you want a tea or a coffee.

I did not like the fact that a bottle of water was not provided. There is a water dispenser in the corridor which could be used.

I liked the room and the place in general, even though it was a bit far from the center. The bed was comfortable, but creaky. Still, overall a nice stay.

There is no one to help you do check-in, so you have to call Giuseppe - thanks a lot for your help! I mean, that's probably the way it works in Italy. Also, I got confused with the room. Mine was letter T, but there were 2 doors with this letter on them, one of which was the shower. My kind advice is to put a bathroom sign on the door, Giuseppe. It's an easy trick to avoid confusion, for people like me who arrive late with their brains half asleep :) In general, I recommend it.

Perfect location, between sea and city centre, about 20 minutes walk. Also the advantage is breakfast in the near cafe, you can choose a coffee and pastries. Very friendly host, self checkout.

The room was not ready at check-in (2:00 PM), I had to walk for about 1.5 hours before I could check into the room, but it was possible to leave my luggage.

The area is quiet, 10min walk there are lots of bars and the main sightseeing places of Catania are in walking distance. The breakfast is a coupon to the nearby cafe which was tasty. Check-in after midnight was also possible thanks to the helpful Pepe.

The airport is a bit far away.

New furniture! Good space! The bathroom was on the lobby and until i realized that i have to lock it each time, people keept using it as it was in common, even if was a private one:)) The general feeling was that they are in process of modernizing the flat, but still have to do some small thing here and there, like replacing the windows (in contrast with the rest of furniture) and other details. Was self CI, but host call me to be sure all is good after texting him that i am at the property

They have an agreement with a coffee close by for breakfast. The owner, mr Toscano, told me there is a ticket in the room, on my table that i can use in this purpose, but never found it. So had no breakfast 2! I don t know if he ever considered that the room was completly open and accessible until my arrival. But anyway was a small snack prepared in the room, so keept the balance:))

- very clean place - luggage store - everything worked fine - 'normal' shower (not kind of cheap one where water is all around the bathroom) - comfortable bed - pus for electric kettle, tea, small breakfast in the room and voucher for the one i cafe - quiet place - air conditioning worked well but was a bit noisy - big plus for cleaning the room every day, it was so nice to come back from sightseeing and see everything so clean - wifi worked fine - friendly owner

- a bit far from train station and city center - 20-30 min on food - our room was a bit dark but it's not a big problem

"A buffet breakfast is available daily at the bed and breakfast." not at all, if you like big breakfast, be aware that it is just crackers with jam and in the bar one small croissant and espresso Location - not far from the centre, but also not close in Sicilian heat (about 2 km)

Quite some noise from the building itself (showers/toilets/front door). No troubles for people who are used to living in a city. Just be aware ;-)

I loved my stay at B&B del Toscano. It has a great location, walking distance from the beach and historic center. The room was very clean and very comfortable, so was the bathroom, all the necessary facilities provided. Staff was very helpful and kind. Nice breakfast in the room and two options outside. Very highly recommended!
