The room is in a residency building on the 4th floor, basically a flat divided to rooms and with a common area for breakfast or cooking. We chose it for it's location, the proximity of the market and the room with view on the Etna, which luckily we could enjoy. We came by car and parked in the parking 2 minutes from the place, paid 24 Euros for 36 hours (12 euros for 12-24 hours range), it's impossible to park on the street due to market every day. The room is nice, clean, bad is a bit hard, but we are easy going with that, breakfast is good. We could leave our luggage for a few hours more after check out, which was a plus. We communicated with Martina via WhatsApp, all went very smooth and met at one of the breakfasts, very kind person. The key system requires some practice but once you learn it, it's easy:)

I wanted to stay here because of the view on the market and Etna but we forgot that it also means more noise and dirt. The noise from the early morning was not that bothering rather one of the latino bar on the square which had the music on nearly all night long (this of course cannot be controlled by the hosts) and the closed windows did not keep the noise out. We had earbuds with us, so that solved the issue, just good to bear in mind. It is still worth staying there for the cleanness, view and vibe.

The apartment has shared fully equipped kitchen with fridge+freeze and coffee maker, which was very beneficial during our stay. The apartment was clean, and the bed was so comfy. There were clean towels (3 of each size, per person), hair dryer, soap, body wash, toilet paper. We were glad that bathroom was private within the same apartment unit as bedroom. The location of apartment is great! It is a few minutes away from the city center, and around 15-20 mins from bus/train station. There is a street market every day (except Sunday) just right in front of a building, but it is not noisy inside the apartment. Also, there is a market (store) near (just around a corner). If you are coming from the airport there is an ALIBUS line station near the apartment. The whole process from reservation, entering to the building, entering to the apartment was fully automated, which was strange at the beginning, but the host was responsive and supportive.

For us, this was the perfect place to explore Catania. It was quiet, everything was close by, and there was a market right outside the building where you could buy almost anything – it was a phenomenal experience. Just a few minutes' walk to good bars and restaurants. We felt safe even at night (although we usually returned before 11 p.m.). The room was perfectly clean, with fresh bed linen every 3 days and new towels every 2 days. The kitchen was well equipped, and the bed was comfortable. The only minor annoyance was the shower, which occasionally turned on hot water for just a second. No cockroaches (which we unfortunately encountered in Bari) or any other unpleasant surprises. I genuinely recommend this place :)

Perfect Stay in the Heart of the City Everything was absolutely perfect! The hotel is located right in the city center, making it easy to explore everything on foot. Breakfast is served in a cozy little café just across the street, where you’ll find delicious coffee and freshly baked pastries — a lovely way to start the day. Communication with the hotel staff was excellent — they were available anytime via WhatsApp and always incredibly friendly and helpful. The room had everything I needed, and the coffee provided by the hotel was simply amazing. The hotel had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a washing machine and a refrigerator, which were especially important for us. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and an unbeatable location!

The only downside was the parking — it wasn’t very convenient and could definitely be improved.

Wonderful stay at this apartment! It’s located right by the market, which gave us a real sense of local life. The apartment itself is in a fantastic location, close to the city center and within walking distance to the main streets and attractions. We really liked the layout of the apartment. The shared common area is spacious and well-equipped for cooking, with everything you might need already there. There were several tables where you could sit and enjoy your meals. Every day, snacks like croissants, jams, tea, coffee, sugar, and other little treats were replenished. There’s also a fridge where you can store your own food. Tiziana (host) was incredibly kind and attentive, regularly checking in to see if we needed anything. Communication were absolutely wonderful. Every other morning, bed linens and towels were changed, and everything was always clean. Even if it wasn’t in our room that day, we’d see Silvana actively cleaning in other rooms. The apartment is on the fourth floor, but there’s an elevator as well as stairs. The staircase is clean and well-maintained. The main entrance is secure and locked, so it feels very safe. Oneof the highlights is the beautiful view of Mount Etna – on clear days, it’s truly stunning. The market nearby is huge, and there’s so much to explore in the area. Overall, this was an exceptionally positive experience. It was our second time in Sicily, but our first time staying in Catania – and I absolutely loved it. I’m sure we’ll be back again! ❤️

We just love Catania and this was our first time staying at B&B Miti dell Etna. What a fun and wonderful experience to stay in this lively, colorful part of Catania. Every single review mentioned how wonderful, helpful and welcoming host Tiziana is... so here is another mention of her... without exception, she is an amazing Super Host who makes you feel welcomed and special. She is professional, accommodating, super friendly and makes sure you are well taken care of and comfortable. Our room, Number 4, is one of several on the same floor complex including a common kitchen with clothes washer and balcony with close line. So so clean, organized and equipped with everything you need for cooking. The cleaning ladies, Mrs Silvana and Mrs Mariella keep these rooms and kitchen sparkling clean and equipped for your comfort. We had a problem with the bathroom sink in Room 4. Tiziana insisted we move over to Room 3 for our comfort. We loved Room 4 so much she made sure everything was fixed promptly so we could stay. We enjoyed the balcony so much, day and night, we didn't want to change one thing. Our balcony overlooked the best, largest and most fun marketplace in all of Italy. Catania's local marketplace is full of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, and street food... as well as clothing and houseware. Not to mention the amazing designer lines of purses, shoes and clothing. And towering over it all is Mt Etna as a backdrop. The sounds of the marketplace is our favorite with the calls of the fish market vendors and hustle bustle of the shoppers. When you leave the apartment you literally step out into the marketplace. If you want to experience a true local feel of the wonderful people of Catania, don't hesitate to book this BnB. The location is walking distance to all Catania has to offer. One block over is Via Etnea the main street through all the beautiful piazzas and shopping districts.

There is nothing we didn't like about this property.

The location was great, with easy access from the airport via ALIBUS. It's situated next to a daily market, so the neighborhood might seem a bit untidy at first glance, but it’s an excellent spot to explore the city, with both the historic center and lively café/bar areas nearby. The bustling market is a must-see, offering an authentic local experience with noisy vendors and a diverse mix of buyers. Tiziana, the host, was fantastic—very helpful, coordinating check-in smoothly, and ensuring everything was arranged on time.

The building itself is a bit old, featuring a retro elevator that sometimes gets stuck on floors because guests forget to close the doors manually. It can be a bit inconvenient, especially with the apartment being on the 4th floor, but it's still manageable—and even adds a bit of charm to the experience))

The manager of the property was caring and very supportive during our stay. After one night we received question if everything is fine and they can help us with something. Next day we had a problem with car and didn’t know who to contact in this case. We wrote to the manager and had a response in 15 minutes with solution of a problem. It was so nice! Apartment was clean and we couldn’t even clean the dishes because lady who was there said that she will handle this. Apartment is easy to find in great location near to the popular market! Cafe where the breakfasts are is very nice, people are very friendly and food is delicious! With my whole heart I can recommend stay in this apartment :)

The location of the hotel is great. The view from the window onto the market so you could feel the atmosphere of the city. The hotel is located in the very center of the city which gives you the opportunity to explore the atmosphere of Catania. 💙🤍 The cleanliness in the room is at the highest level and the service is very nice and very committed! 🫶🫶

It was perfect, the location, the place, the staff, everything just as good as it could be. The market and the view made the stay very special, really liked it. The owner recommends restaurants if asked, MM! Trattoria was the greatest fish market restaurant I ever had.

The owner offers programs to do during your holiday. They ask to confirm in advance if you need. Despite we did confirm which programs we would attend some did not happen because of the tour guide’s low interest in us.
