The hotel had charm and I liked the old style. I felt like I was really on vacation when entering because of the dark wood furniture, the style and vibe of the place. Location was Superb, in the middle of the city center. The room was very clean and I could relax feeling comfortable. I could easily have stayed more nights at this hotel. I checked in late at night 2-3am and that was no problem. The breakfast was very simple in real Italian style which fitted the hotel experience. You get a coffee served and crossiants (fresh and good taste) which is important for me. The hotel staff was also very friendly and service minded. For me this was a simple, yet nice and very genuin place to stay if you want a real Italian experience, and not the typical resort hotels in which you find everywhere.

Hotel GRESI accommodation was very satisfying. All the staff at Hotel GRESI were very friendly to customers and the location was so good that it was the best place for sightseeing. However, it was a little uncomfortable because the Wi-Fi was not working well, but it was not a big problem for me. Thank you very much for always asking from the customer's point of view and trying to give me various information. I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking care of my bag after checking out and taking care of my heavy luggage during my trip to another country for a few days in the middle of the trip. Hotel GRESI always did the best I could, so I was able to comfortably tour the tourist attractions and return safely late at night while staying in Catania. I hope that the staff of Hotel GRESI will always be blessed with God

The personnel was attentive and helpful. The breakfast was unexpectedly diverse and plenty. You could eat as much as wanted. The towels were replaced daily, and the room was also cleaned daily. The location is excellent and safe. The hotel is a good choice for the price. Wifi was also good.

The room's furniture is a little old and unappealing. The pillow was old, bumpy, and uncomfortable. There was not enough light in the room. New paint might help to give the room a more pleasant atmosphere.

Super location, right on the main shopping and pedestrian street and 50 meters from the bus stop to the airport. Breakfast is nice Italian style. The common areas and the rooms are with very interesting frescoes and stuccoes, it is very stylish :)

My room was in a "blind spot" between 2 internet rooters so I had ZERO internet in my room. Very uncomfortable for me. I asked reception but I was told that it is my problem. I stayed before in this hotel in other rooms and was no problem with internet.

The staff is present at the reception all time and happy to help you with anything you need. The location of the hotel is right next to Via Etnea which is the main street downtown connecting it to Piazza Duomo and main attractions in Catania and also close to bars and restaurants. Also the room was very clean and they change the sheets and towels daily. Water was running great, no issues with the neighbors or noise. It's budget friendly , definitely not luxurious.

The breakfast was not as expected. They had only one type of cheese and ham and a lot of gem and sweets. Coffee was ok but not the best, but I expected some eggs or vegetables to have a complete delicious breakfast. One sandwich and one croissant is not enough. For multiple days you just need more diversity.

I booked double room (Camera Matrimoniale) for 2 guests. There is a lift in the building. The room was spacious with high ceiling, with a lobby with a desk, large bathroom, big balcony. The receptionist offered me a choice between rooms with street view and backyard view and this made me a very good inpression. I have chosen the street view and it was not noisy at all. The location of the hotel is very good, The style of the furniture was old (maybe 50-60 years) but it corresponded very well with the architecture of the building. The hotel is located in the very downtown of Catania and the entrance is only few meters for the main street Via Etnea. The reception was opened 24 hours and peaople behide desk was very friendly. The breakfast was not too big but for the price of the stay I think it was fare.

The Hotel Gresi ooze’s character and charm nestled on a side street off Via Etnea, a street brimming with shops and side street cafes and restaurants. The hotel is not modern nor is its amenities so don’t expect a clinical multinational branded hotel and facilities but this is just a great, well priced and honest hotel with beautiful high and ornate ceilings. It has soul to it, stepping through the large doors into the courtyard up the lift to reception you are greeted by beautiful plaster and artwork throughout the hotel. The staff were excellent, the rooms are large, clean with aircon and in the morning a nice continental breakfast was served, the location is perfect for exploring Catania, we hope to return to Catania in the future and we hope to stay in the Hotel Gresi again.

We could not fault the hotel for the price we paid and travelling for business or pleasure we stay is a range of hotels and price ranges, it may not suit everyone as its not particularly modern but as a base to explore Catania it suited us perfectly.

The location, the staff and the hotel itself was awesome. The room was beautiful the ceiling fresco is nice, the bathroom is spacious. It has a unique and lovely atmosphere I give them that. Everything is near as this hotel is in the city center. The breakfast is okay, the service is polite. Classic Italian style.

The parking is not the easiest task since the hotel is in the middle of a pedestrian zone and carribineris/local police are monitoring the streets and gives fines if you violate the rules. But this is more like a hint not a negative feedback.

Everything was good , The hotel is old and its furniture is old, but the room is clean and I felt comfortable and that I am with my family. Its location is beautiful as it is located between a shopping street and a street full of restaurants. The breakfast is simple, the staff is excellent and cooperative and they do their best to make your stay comfortable. The room has a refrigerator, TV and air conditioner, but there is no iron There is an elevator in the hotel, I recommend living in it because it is worth the money that I paid and I will return to it if I visit Catania again..
