On arriving we received a free upgrade to a deluxe room with city view an balcony,the reception team were always helpful an very pleasant as were all the staff we met at the hotel always saying hello an good morning or good afternoon the food was excellent an rooftop restaurant fantastic.The Palace hotel has prime position on the best street with the very best picture postcard views of the magnificent mount Etna and of any busy city views that include Cathedrals an piazza’s an garden squares you just step out of the hotel an turn right or left an join everybody else strolling up an down this great stretch of architecture everywhere you look With pattisseries an restaurants all around also the many different shops ,a really great city to visit.

Excellent location a few minutes from almost all sites. Beautiful reception and room. The seventh floor has a wonderful view and feel. A really really good place to stay in Catania. Loved the decoration of the hotel.

The standard breakfast of the hotel is, well, standard. I expect more, particularly a better selection of breads, from a hotel of this calibre. For a significant additional fee breakfast can be had on the seventh floor with a wider selection but we did not take that option.

The location was excellent. I really don’t think that can be beaten. Staff were helpful and polite. The view from the bar- restaurant was amazing and again don’t think can be beaten!

You have to sit in a certain section of the terrace if you’re just having drink where the view isn’t as good. Now this would be understandable if the eating area was busy or full but this wasn’t the case! At one point there were 4 sets of couples in the drinking area when the whole terrace was empty. Depending on the staff on duty this also varied so on a few occasions we were able to sit with a fabulous view. I think this policy needs to be reviewed by management.

The hotel is in a very good location – in the pedestrian zone. There are many shops, restaurants, and cafés around it. The city center is very beautiful and perfect for walking. The rooms are spacious, with a separate walk-in closet and a living area.

In the hotel, it was very cold in the breakfast restaurant, the lobby, and at the reception. We had to go to breakfast wearing our jackets. The temperature in the lobby and at the reception was around 18–19 degrees, so we couldn’t sit down for a coffee – we just rushed to go outside. Unfortunately, I ended up getting sick.

The location of the hotel is great; close to shops, restaurants and sights. The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was very complete and good quality food. Was disappointed not to be able to have the breakfast in their nice terrace.

Getting to the hotel was very difficult because the information was not clear and when we were two blocks from it had to go back to reach it from a different point because of the restrictions with the historic center. We called twice and the agent gave us the wrong information. Also we thought breakfast was in the terrace but instead it was in the basement in a dark room; that was disappointing.

Palace Catania is one of the 8 hotels during my South Italy tour and I can say that it is the far best. Each and every person in the hotel were always with a positive attitude, smiling and helpful. Unfortunately I didn’t take all the names but I especially would like to mention Rita. She is very very nice and helping in every request to make sure your stay is perfect. I cannot thank her enough, her team and Palace Catania team for making my stay remarkable in Catania. It will be definitely my next accommodation again when I visit Catania next time.

We had a wonderful stay, thank you again for the lovely upgrade — it truly made our anniversary extra special! The breakfast was fresh and delicious, especially enjoyed on the 7th floor rooftop bar, where the breathtaking view of Mount Etna made every morning unforgettable. The location is perfect — close to everything yet peaceful, with that authentic Catania charm. And the room was spacious, beautifully maintained, and offered a stunning view — we couldn't have asked for more. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Lovely hotel, clean, very friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfast was amazing. Perfect location to walk to Metro to get on trains up and down East Coast. Also easy walk to lots of areas for food, bars, passagiata etc. Shopping and sites. Room was big and very clean. Air conditioning was fabulous for the hot humid days we experienced whilst there in Sept.

Only thing that needs to be addressed is the lack of staff in the roof top restaurant during busy hours of Apperitivo and Dinner. The guys working there are lovely..but can't provide a friendly service as they are too hassled trying to do too much with not enough hands! Otherwise food and drinks were lovely!

A great luxury hotel where everything is top quality, including accommodation, food, service and staff. Spacious room, very comfortable bed, coffee facilities, bath - everything I look for. The location is on the City's main street just a minute's walk from the Cathedral. The rooftop restaurant /bar has unobstructed views of Mount Etna and is impeccably run by the welcoming Luca (aka Yuri Chechi). Both he and Rita on reception epitomise the values of the hotel - friendly, thoughtful and nothing is too much trouble. We had a 4-night stay and were sorry to leave. I have stayed in many hotels and almost never leave a review but this hotel was exceptional.

Excellent location. Used the Alibus from the airport and got off at the Villa Bellini stop, a few minutes away. Easy to get to all the points of interest. It was July and very hot. The reception and room were so cooling and smelled lovely - an immediate reset and relax from being outside.

Whilst the roof top bar was lovely, the roofs of Catania are not all beautiful and you can see Etna from most places, so it’s worth a visit but I’d not queue.
