The absolute best location in Catania just steps from the Cathedral and main square and better still, the working fish market! We could walk everywhere. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We used the private sauna, steam room and jacuzzi and loved it! We were also blown away not only by the incredible rooftop sitting area with a view of Mount Etna and the city but the balcony for breakfast in the morning. Our room was a bit small but we were not there too much and we were impressed that despite being near the big street market and restaurant area, it was very quiet! The staff helped us navigate not only driving RIGHT to it in the centre but dropping off our car at a locked lot nearby. Top marks!

My room is facing the restaurant.Can hear the restaurant noise at night. Would be noise for the hotel to give bigger rubbish bin. Water leaks everywhere everytime after shower. The hotel staffs only in hotel from 8am to 10pm. Would be nice if have 24 hours staff as can be inconvenience without staff around. Breakfast needs to have more variety like vegetables and fruits. I love the location is right in the city centre. Very convenient to go duomo and other places. Lots of nice restaurants around it. Staffs are very helpful including breakfast staff.

Balcony covered in bird droppings. Catania is a generally slightly down at heel town. Breakfast pretty average.

Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was splendid. The food selection was wonderful, including both savory as well as sweet treats. View was inspiring for my very first day in Italy! I also loved the cinematic theme in the rooms. My room had some quotes stenciled on the walls from a film I had never heard of. I looked them up and discovered "The Day of the Owl", which I watched as soon as I got home, and loved.

However, what truly sets it apart is the exceptional staff. When my father fell ill, they displayed unparalleled compassion and efficiency, arranging hospital calls and providing unwavering support throughout. Even upon check-out, they graciously assisted us in transitioning to another hotel nearby. The staff at Duomo Suites and Spa exemplify true kindness, reminding us that it still exists in this world.

We were initially in the smallest room, which was very crowded and uncomfortable but after I whined to the front desk they upgraded us to a larger room that was VERY comfortable. This may have been my error in expectations when I was booking. The roof top terrace is wonderful.

The breakfast, although presented beautifully was mainly sweets. I think some warm eggs and other simple breakfast items would be better.

We definitely recommend it. Location and facilities are top-notch. A great touch is the rooms with a theme. We were lucky to be in the "Gattopardo" suite, an iconic movie of Luchino Visconti and a literature masterpiece by Tomasi di Lampedusa. Breakfast was superb: the chef Giusy provided authentic Sicilian food and unforgettable delicacies. She made sure to have for us the best products to taste in the morning. She was really outstanding. A big shout-out to the rest of the staff as well, especially the lovely Vanessa at the reception that gave us a lot info on things to do, restaurant, etc.

Our stay was great and we have nothing bad to flag. Please keep up the good work and this amazing facility for Italian and foreign tourist alike. Nothing else to add and definitely no negative comment to add.

The room was spacious and clean. It had everything we needed. The breakfast by Chef Giuse was awesome and fresh. The front staff was very helpful and accommodating. They helped book tours and were great with suggestions. The balcony and rooftop garden had beautiful views of Catania. Glad there were elevators! The location was perfect- right in the centre of town and close to everything!! We felt safe staying there and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Fabulous hotel in the best location - great rooms - lots of light - lovely balcony over the street and amazing double glazed doors so no noise from outside - lovely staff, lots of great info provided / lots of great bars and restaurants 2 minute walk away and you’re right at the cathedral and duomo

Best location ever! Lovely roof deck with a partial view of the Duomo square, and right over the adorable umbrella - lined streets with bars and restaurants. Hotel staff are amazing, kind, had great suggestions for dinner, etc. Hotel breakfast was good enough. They leave a nice bottle of wine in the room for first time guests, which was a nice touch. We took it to the roof and enjoyed it with the view.

Our particular room was a little small, but I think there are larger ones in the hotel. I stayed one night on my own and the room was fine for one. We stayed again a second night with my boyfriend, and for two it was a little tight in the bathroom. We were thrilled to have hotel parking for our rental car, but we had to take a taxi to get to it, so it was a little inconvenient not being closer.
