Everything was great, we really enjoyed our stay with our little daughter. Super place spacious room and very friendly staff. If we come to Catania again we will be happy to stay again

The room furnishings were a bit dated, especially the bed was a disaster, the right side of the bed was sunken, and sleeping on that side was a punishment ( yes I slept there ) my wife slept fine

Hotel Gorizia is a basic hotel with a perfect location in the old centre of Catania. If you are traveling by bus, get off at the bus stop on the Piazza Paolo Borsellino, It's then only a 3 minute walk to the hotel. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Air con, beds shower all great. The whole room was very clean. Don't be put off by the outside. It could do with a few lights, it looks a bit dingy, but directly you go in you met with a a lot of marble and a lot of steps. Travellers with disabilities be advised that there are a lot of steps.

Room was dark due to an awning over the window.

The location is the best! Everything is walkable from this location, perfect spot for a couple days in Catania. The staff (2 people) were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, not modern, but had charm. Linens and towels were clean. Bathroom was a good size, clean and shower was nice. There were good amenities in the room such as refrigerator, tea kettle, coffee cups, etc. I liked having a balcony, even though the view was of the street and other buildings. The bed was comfortable enough, no luxuries to the linens but happy they were clean and fresh. The temperature in the room was good and there were good controls to adjust it. Security of the building was good too. There are stairs to the rooms, didn't notice any elevators. Would definitely stay again!

The TV didn't work, but not really necessary for my stay. The hot water in the shower didn't last long or didn't work :( Location was the best!

The location was excellent, very close to the main piazza, lots of restaurants close by, mini markets and also the fish market. We were able to walk everywhere and the bus station was close by too. It was also the quietest hotel we have stayed in while in Sicily. The owner was very helpful and the hotel was very secure. We were grateful to have a fridge and kettle.

The front entrance could be improved. It doesn’t look good from the outside, but as soon as you get through the door and see the marble staircase you get an entirely different impression.

The hotel is very conveniently located near cafes, restaurants, and markets. The room was very spacious and clean; the availability of a fridge and coffee making facilities was very welcome. The air conditioner was superb, particularly as our stay was during an unusually warm time. The bathroom was clean and equally spacious. The hot water was hot and full pressure.

There is one flight of stairs which although look authentic and true to the accommodation style, bags need to be negotiated up. Fortunately our lovely host carted my wife's bag when he was showing us the room.

The location was absolutely stellar! It was in the center of town near the fish market and the main piazza by the duomo. Yet, it was so quiet as it was on a side street. The owner, his son and the housekeeping staff were all so sweet, accommodating and lovely. The room that my husband and I had was huge, the bed and bathroom were super comfortable and clean and the amenities like the coffee and and refrigerator were a nice touch. We will stay there again if we have an opportunity to return to Catania.

My first night was in a single room, before my husband arrived the following day. The room was small with no air conditioning and only a small window in a bathroom. It was dark, very hot and uncomfortable. However, the other room for the next two nights for the two of us was fantastic. If the weather were not so hot, I am sure the single room would have been just fine as the price was very reasonable for what the room was like.

Salvo and his sons were absolutely great people; kind, considerate and generous. We really enjoyed our stay there. The room was a good size, very clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities The hotel is in a great location too; close to the Basilica, the piazza, really nice restaurants and caffè's as well as the fish market, which is a sight to behold. Thank you Salvo for making our stay a pleasurable one!

No elevator.

The location is fabulous. A 20 minute walk from the main train station - easy and flat. It's in a quiet street but one block away from the main square in the old city. Around the corner from the famous fish market and incredible food area. The room.was large, clean, functional and quiet. The staff were considerate and professional. A great place to stay in Catania.

There is no lift and the staircase has very steep marble steps. - about 17. Thankfully the lovely staff took our bags up and down for us.

the property is 30 seconds away from the centre, you are basically in the heart of catania. it was really easy to visit everything because everything starts from that centre. near you it’s the fish market (3 minutes away), cathedral of Agatha (30 seconds away) and so on. there is plenty of restaurants near the location and also shops. The person that welcomed us was really nice and he offered us tips for the place. We arrived earlier but he was great and said everything is fine. the room is big, it’s exactly like in the picture and has tv, air conditioning, big windows, big bathroom, clean sheets and towels. The room was cleaned every day. it worth definitely the money and we do recommend it to any couple.

The hotel it’s a 2 star one, so the appearance it could be improved a little bit. also the bathroom could be a little bit more cleaner (the toilet is a little bit old and gray), but overall it was a great choice if you are not a really picky person and you appreciate a great position and a clean bed

The accommodation is really nice. The room is spacious and clean, it has a very nice balcony. The host is kind and helpful. The location is excellent, right on the square, within walking distance of all interesting locations and bus station. If we come again, we will definitely stay here again.
