As I've been working in the hotel business for years I will be objective so to help you decide if this is for you or not. The rooms are above the fish and veggies market so for the two rooms in the front it can be very noisy during day and night so stay away if you want a good rest. If you don't mind that you will definitely love and enjoy the location as it's a lovely neighborhood with all the attractions around. Our room was looking internal and though I am sensitive with noises I had no problem at all sleeping and also didn't mind an a/c unit outside the bathroom that some exaggerated comments say it's noisy. We were advised to not open the internal window and we didn't so the room kept a nice smell from day one till we left and no fishy or cooking smells disturbed our rest The room was clean and the bathroom great. The hostess also was too kind to be on the spot even though we had a 3 hours delay and we had to amend 2 times our appointment. In overall we enjoyed our 3 night stay

Some friendly suggestions to the owners. Have some tea and coffee amenities. COVID can't be an excuse for not offering that A small curtain for the internal window looking at the building stairs would be a solution for the guests that are sensitive to the light that comes in the room when people enter the building New pillow cases would definitely look great on your comfortable bed

Very central located, in the heart of old town. Room and bathroom are modern and clean. Good offer for the money, but located in between very busy bars... so can become very loud from outside (but only people talking and music... no traffic 😉)...

Google Maps has given me wrong address, so that I could hardly find the right place... but the host told me, that they solved the problem now. Just in case: the entrance-door is located in between two bars... one of them (left side) is Artu-Burger. Shower rail should become fixed.

The accommodation and the surroundings could not be better, right near the main square and the fishmarket. We felt absolutely safe at any time of the day and night. We wouldn't stay anywhere else, next time in Catania :-) We could not find the PB gas, but the owner helped us immediately, when we told him we could not make tea.

Te downstairs door lock worked very unreliably, I simply could not enter the house several times, without the help of someone walking by. There is a nice kitchen with a big refrigerator, which is super, but it would be comfortable to have a microwave oven, a water boiler and a few knives, as well.

July 2025. Excellent room to stay in, large comfortable bed, air conditioning, spacious bathroom. There is a shared kitchen with amenities. Towels provided upon arrival. Fast internet. Location almost in the very center.

Due to its proximity to restaurants, it can be a bit noisy in the evenings. The entrance to the apartment is via a steep staircase.

The location is super, everything is very close. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The communication was smooth with Piero, he was always reachable, and helpful.

It was not easy to find the B&B because the google maps showed a different one, but I texted Piero and he helped me out. The door of the room would need to be fixed.

The location is amazing, house is very well kept, extremely private with ensuite rooms and even though the house itself is shared, we didn’t even see the people we were staying with.

The shower was blocked, the area is a bit noisy at night but the walls insulate the noise very well.

I was here 1 year ago… I love the location and cleaningness and comfort… you step out and you have everything in your doorstep ..,

it was a bit noisy for me because I am an early going to bed type :) but If you like to enjoy the life of the city it is the perfect place

The location is extremely centric and yet my room was quiet so I could sleep very well. For a budget stay, this is good value for money.

I mean the place isn’t perfect and the chair of my small desk was very flimsy, but for the price in Catania… I would still give this place a 10

Sistra's is right in the middle of historical Catania, next to the fish market and cathedral which are both must-see attractions. The facilities are modern and clean. Piero was helpful and gracious with answering the questions I had.

Anyone who comes in peak season might find the accommodation loud at night, because it's centrally located and next to a couple of bars. I had less of a problem coming in November on some rainy days. Also, the shower can be sometimes inconsistent with its hot water.

Location could not have been better. Close to everything, cute little bar area right outside the door at night and nice markets during the day. Easy to reach on foot from the airport bus stop.

All good.
