Staying at this hotel was my second choice, but I'm glad I made the choice. Although I arrived earlier than the check-in time, I was greeted kindly by the reception staff, I was offered cold water and a tasty coffee while I waited. Check-in was efficient and we received the apartment we had reserved. The space was generous and clean and we even had a small, fully equipped kitchenette. Clean and well-maintained bathroom, with towels changed daily. The breakfast was sufficient, fresh and tasty, and the organization in the evenings proved to be a very good idea to avoid crowding. Even though it is not centrally located, you can easily reach the old town. The entire hotel staff made me feel welcomed. A big thanks for that!

The traffic could be noissy if the room is oriented toward main road.

The hotel is in a great location for people taking cruises out of the local cruise port. The breakfast was well stocked and items were replaced quickly. We stayed in a suite and it was perfect! The size of the rooms and balcony were perfect after flying across the Atlantic. The hotel offered a private shuttle from the airport and to the cruise terminal which made it a no brainer to stay at.

The beds were sufficient but nothing to write home about. The beds were thin and pretty firm. It wasn't a problem for me as I prefer that style, but other family members were expecting a little nicer of a mattress.

Hospitality was everything! Gianni (manager/owner), was incredibly helpful. After 32 hours travelling from SYD we were so grateful to him organising a room well ahead of check-in time. He offered us a seat in breakfast area while we waited a very short while for room and an offer of coffee while we waited. Breakfast was exceptional. Short distance from station but uphill and cobbled stones streets. We opted for taxi. Easy walk to the town. Bonus was having shuttle to cruise terminal for a few euros.Large room, comfy beds. It is a 3 star European Hotel.....old , but everything needed for people cruising or enjoying the city. Friendly staff.

Hotel is very old and quaint. We booked a family room and it was unbelievably spacious. It had 2 rooms, a living room and kitchen. We spent 1 night before the start of our cruise here. Walked about 2 blocks to nearest supermarket and 1 block to laundrymat. Had a great inexpensive pizza dinner at Acqua Farina (about 3 blocks away) with friendly staff that even offered us a shot of chocolate liquor after our meal! Breakfast at the hotel was great. The hotel offers a shuttle to the cruise terminal for 5 euros/person which you schedule and arrange with the staff. This hotel seems to attract a lot of people embarking on a cruise from Rome.

We tried to find the local bus that goes to the hotel but couldn't figure out where to catch the bus so we walked. Getting to the hotel from the train station was a long uphill walk. I don't recommend walking with luggage. Also the beds are kind of firm and may not be acceptable to some people.

Our room was actually an entire apartment and could easily accommodate 5 people. The balcony was very large as well. There were AC units in all rooms. The breakfast was good, with plenty options. The master bed was very comfortable, the sofa bed was a bit on the soft side.

I'm not sure how safe the neighborhood usually is, but at night there has been a fight between teen gangs quite close to the hotel. We were returning from an evening walk and we had to take another route to avoid them. We could have benefited from strings in the balcony to allow us to dry all the towels.

Gianni was our airport transfer...best driver I've ever had in Italy...she was confident & careful....worth splitting the price when you have more than one person. Simone provided a wonderful bottle of prosecco at a very reasonable price...great breakfast (crispy bacon & a cappuccino so good everyone had to have seconds. Housekeeping made sure our rooms were right before we checked in. Staff members were so friendly & helpful. Short walk to the water for a casual dinner. Shuttle to our ship for 5 euros...nice touch. Great stay at a great price!

@) cab ride from train station - arrived about noon - asked to wait in dining room until room was ready and offered a bottle of water each - short wait and we were in our room - very much appreciated after a 6:00 am flight and a train journey. Room was large and clean with a nice balcony. excellent breakfast next morning. we had been travelling for about 10 days and were staying at Traiano on the night prior to a cruise. there was a launderette about 100 yards from the hotel so we were able to wash all our clothes and be ready for the cruise. The gentleman on the front desk was very friendly and helpful and the rest of the staff were excellent. the hotel arranges a shuttle to the cruise terminal for us for only 5 euros.

Staff are superb and couldn't be more helpful. Good sized room and clean. Shuttle service, free, to their other hotel which has a restaurant is a great idea and well worth doing. 5€ shuttle service to the cruise port is fantastic value and very efficient. All in all a great hotel to stay in. Yes, it's old fashioned and dark, but it adds to the ambience. We'd stay here again at the drop of a hat.

The hot offering at breakfast was a bit grim, but continental was fine.

The hotel is clean, there is an elevator and stairs, the rooms are a nice size. The staff is professional and so sweet. We had to check out early and they made sure we got to eat breakfast even though their breakfast room didn't open for 30 more minutes. The staff arrived early and took great care of us. The hotel arranged transportation too. My family stayed in an apartment room which was amazing, large with 2 bedrooms with everything for an extended stay including a complete kitchen. The hotel is within walking to restaurants and delicious gelato place. We originally walked from the train station to this hotel and also walked several times to the beach and the tourist area of the city. It is safe, but I'd let the staff book transportation to the cruise port. You could walk to the ships, but pulling a suitcase, would take awhile to arrive.

Our mattress was too firm for my liking however my friends and family had comfortable mattresses.

The breakfast was great, friendly accomadating staff.

Our room was on the first floor. Was supposed to be a suite. We had to ask to have a table and chair set moved in. We had no dishes etc as advertised. Our friends came 3 days later and were given a bright top floor suite that was fully equipped for much less $ then we paid. Their room was sunny and warm, ours was cold and damp. Their was no heat in the building.
