Loris & Ambra went out of their way to welcome us into their “hotel”. While we stayed only one night with them, they were able to arrange four different transportation services, which were much cheaper than anything offered online, for us during our lengthy Italian stay. Further, after hearing of our lost luggage, they filled the bathroom with items we’d need to get through the night. They are truly warm hosts who ensure your stay will be as comfortable as possible. Loris also arranged a lovely seaside dinner a short walk away which in addition to being quite tasty, was an unbelievable bargain. Highly recommend this lovely venue and these thoughtful hosts.

Hospitality, location and home from home comforts - all provided by Loris and Ambra made our stay in Civitavecchia so wonderful. The friendly charm and exceptional guest satisfaction from Loris which enabled us to watch a Liverpool v Arsenal football match gives the Casa Sul Mare 6 stars!! Thank you to Loris and Ambra for all their wonderful attention to detail and nothing was too much trouble. You certainly do not get such personal service from a bigger hotel. It was like staying with friends.

We were getting on a cruise and stayed at Casa Su Mare for 2nights. The location was perfect. We walked all over town. Good restaurants. You could walk to the docks but We choice not to walk and get a driver. The view out my room was perfect with a view to the sea. Casa Su Mare was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Ambra does a wonderful job preparing breakfast filled with fresh fruit, pastries and breads, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, and several juices. Coffee was perfectly brewed. The owner Loris is friendly. Always smiling. Helped with dinner reservations and arranging for a car to the docks.His love for the property shines through. We will definitely stay again if we cruise out of that port.

Wow, this is the most phenomenal place to stay in Civitavecchia. We were greeted by the most cheerful people in Loris and Ambra. They were just so happy we were there. The location is amazing right on the sea in front of the soldier kissing the nurse statue. The rooms are extremely clean. They actually just look like they are brand new and open for the first day!! Ambra took care of our breakfast and it was relaxing and wonderful. The coffee is amazing. It happened to be my birthday and Ambra’s birthday on the same day. So, in comes crazy funny Loris with flowers and singing music for us at breakfast. They are just above and beyond. We cannot wait to come back to stay again.

There is not a thing you cannot like about this place. It’s perfect!

The staff was amazingly wonderful. The place was way better than expected. The cleanliness, comfort and facilities were terrific. The view towards the sea was spectacular in rooms 1 & 2. The size and facilities in room 5 were the best. Room 3 excellent. Room 4 was very nice. The breakfast was lovely and the hosts went to a lot of trouble to provide gluten-free food. We will most definitely recommend it to our friends and family.

We would have liked to stay longer. LOL.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming bed-and-breakfast near the port of Civitavecchia. The location was perfect, five minute drive to the port, making it an incredibly convenient for our cruise. The balconies in our rooms offered breathtaking views. Laris, the owner, and Ambra, his assistant, were exceptionally warm, friendly, and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Their hospitality truly stood out.

Our only regret is not having enough time to enjoy this beautiful place.

Everything was great! We were on a family vacation and our family ended up booking out the entire B&B. One part of our family took a shuttle and we took the train. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. It felt like a home away from home. Our hosts were fantastic. We were able to walk to a delicious restaurant on the beach with no problem. And there was major partying going on outside that night and didn't hear anything! We all slept well and thoroughly enjoyed the pistachio pastry. The views were great! It was all great. Can't say enough good things. Thank you Casa Sul Mare!

Loris and Ambra were excellent- they greeted us with enthusiasm and briefed us on the details of the stay. They were always available for help or to ask questions. The view was spectacular but the noise/music from the street went late, making it a bit difficult to sleep. The best was comfortable, the AC worked great, as did the TV. Breakfast was continental with fresh pastries and delicious cappuccino or coffee. The place is small with only 5 rooms to rent which made it very relaxed, with one common room for breakfast. The location is fantastic and near many restaurants and downtown. Highly recommend this, especially if you want to get away from bigger facilities and crowds. We felt like we were part of their family. Loved out stay

price was a bit high. Paid more here for a room than for a suite in central Rome .

We stayed for one night after a cruise and were able to walk to the B&B. We were made to feel very welcome. Loris carried our luggage upstairs. He then printed off the train timetable for us to visit Tarquinia. Lovely view from the balcony of our room, very comfortable bed with lots of storage in the room. We really enjoyed the atmosphere at breakfast the next morning around the communal table, very good food too. Loris had booked a taxi to take us to the airport. Ambra took us to meet the taxi and everything went very smoothly. We wished that we had booked more than one nights stay, location was excellent.

We had a wonderful stay of four nights at the Casa sul Mare. The room was large, comfortable and ultra-clean and the view of the sea from the balcony was great. The location was perfect, within easy walking distance of cafes and restaurants in this delightful seaside town. Lorris and Rita were exceptionally hospitable and helpful, recommending excellent restaurants and arranging transport to our cruise ship at the end of our stay. They were also invaluable in advising us where to obtain our Covid tests for the cruise. I would highly recommend the B&B to anyone spending time in Civitavecchia, whether for one night or a longer stay.
