This was my first trip overseas to connect with a cruise ship in Civitavecchia since my husband died. Ana, the front desk receptionist, treated me like family and made certain that everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) went more smoothly than I could possibly expect. Yes! Let them book your limo from Fiumicino, yes! accept the breakfast and yes! allow them to arrange for your taxi to the cruise terminal. This made my entire experience memorable and I can't thank them enough.

Location. What seems to be a back street location, is actually in the heart of the old town the next street having twenty small restaurants. A fabulous market just a hundred metres (We were there on Friday & Saturday) Hotel. Could not be cleaner. Bed linen and bathroom towels immaculate. Staff. Extremely helpful

This not a criticism or dislike. This is not a plush hotel with lots of facilities, but simple bijou hotel with two stars. If the were a category for bijou hotels in would be rated five stars

This is a hidden Gem, What a GREAT place to stay near Port of Civitavecchia. I would like to express appreciation for the quality of service that your hotel provides, Very friendly and accommodating staff, specially ANNA, she went above and beyond to make us feel right at home. Owners put attention and details into the property. Super cold AC, we were there during heatwave, cleanliness of the rooms was just Outstanding, continental breakfast served before 10am, they offer shuttle service to the cruise port €10 per person at the time I visited. Will definitely go back. Visited 7/2024.

A wonderful welcome from Anna. Rooms are comfortable & we enjoyed our welcome drink. Directions to a cute little piazza with little restaurants & had a lovely dinner & evening. Overall a 15 out of 10 experience

Nothing to dislike

I am so pleased I found this beautiful little hotel! It is small (only ten rooms) and in the old town so lots of lovely bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Anna on reception was such a dream! So sweet and friendly and very helpful. It was only a 7/8 minute walk to the free cruise shuttle buses. The hotel is super clean, modern and really lovely. The pictures on Tripadvisor are old and look nothing like what it really is-I think they need to update them. Anna gave us an aperol spritz on arrival and we had a lovely breakfast in the morning. Would HIGHLY recommend this lovely hotel and we would not stay anywhere else in Civittavecchia

Nothing- it was absolutely perfect!

We liked everything and our stay definitely exceeded our expectations! Beginning with the incredibly friendly welcome by our great hosts (Ani & Kiko), who made us perfectly relaxed by a free coffee and some snacks for our child. We arrived very early, about 4 hours before the original check in and our room was ready in just about half an hour! Secondly, the location of the property turned to be one of the best for the city, especially if you are going to embark or disembark on a cruise ship. Everything is near, the city centre, the shuttle bus station, the local marker and the regular shopping market. So, you need just about 5 to 10 minutes maximum to all of that locations, even carrying or dragging your luggage. The area of the hotel is also very quiet and if you would like to have a nice, comfortable night before a long trip, that is the best place to stay! Lastly, but not least, our hosts Kiko & Ani were super friendly & helpful, representing the great hospitality of my country, Bulgaria, as we turned to be from the same nationality! Their whole management of the place is absolutely perfect and we totally enjoy our stay! In conclusion, I would like to recommend "Hotel Porto Di Roma" to everyone who expects and would like to have a comfortable and relaxing stay, especially the night before or after the cruise. Nothing, everything was perfect!

The hotel is spotless. Clean as a whistle. The outside is ordinary looking but the inside is like a smaller, but really well maintained Hilton Garden Inn or Hampton Inn. The free breakfast was also very good. All this alone merited a 10 for me, but then there is Anna, the proprietor, who sees to it that your every need is met. Through Anna, we booked a transfer from the Rome airport to the property (180 Euros) and another transfer the next day (20 Euros) to the port. Both were executed flawlessly. We arrived from the airport very early (9:30 am). She kept our luggage, and then allowed us to check in at 11:30 am, once our room was cleaned and ready. All at no extra charge.

Nothing. If you want a large room, this would be the only drawback. if you want a clean, modern, comfortable room, this is your place. (There was even a towel heater in our modern bathroom.) The place seems like it must have been very recently refurbished. It (with Anna's touch) is a jewel within a modest port city.

The best 2* hotel we have ever stayed in, it was definitely better than some 5* hotels. Anna was brilliant on arrival, giving us local knowledge and tips for the area. The welcome drink was an added bonus. Breakfast was lovely, there was good selection and the coffee was great. The hotel organised us an transfer to the cruise port for €10 per person, so easy and only time. The room was more than we could have asked for with a mini bar/tea and coffee making facilities. The air conditioning was brilliant in the sweltering heat and the beds were really comfortable. I'd recommend this hotel and is a hidden gem in Civitaveccia, there is lots of nice bars and restaurants near by. I'd stay again.

Nothing, expectional stay’

Overall, excellent for a precruise stay. Yes, the ride from Rome Fiumicino is not cheap, but cheaper than going into Rome for a night and then going back to Civitavecchia. Nice thing was that the hotel made all the arrangements for us, so we had no worries, and got the text through What's App with all the details upon arrival. The hotel is on a street that is nothing fancy, but very convenient to strolling around old Civitavecchia and the old town. A block from a vibrant market and a few blocks to tons of restaurants and to the port as well. Also, a bank ATM is just minutes away. When time to go on the Cruise, they have a van to bring you to the ship for only 10 euros each (at the time of writing this) which is well worth it. Yes, you can walk to the port, but the ship could be docked very far from the entrance to the port, so why not start your vacation right. The rooms were pretty basic but very clean with nice marble floors. The shower was terrific, with both a rain shower and handheld, plenty of hot water, and great pressure. There is a small continental breakfast in the morning with your choices of coffees and teas, breads, fruit juices, cereals, some cheese and meat. Pretty basic but good enough to hit the spot before being led to the feed lots on the ship. The best part was probably the service, which rated an 11 out of 10. Just fantastic. Nothing was a bother, and always given with friendliness. Overall, we were so glad to stay here, as it was a fairly inexpensive way to recover from the jet lag before our vacation.

There are some cafes and restaurants in the immediate vicinity, so not sure how it would be like on a busy night.

The hotel is located a 10 minute walk from the cruise port. It is close to stores, restaurants, and local attractions. We toured the city on the Hop on Hop off bus and had dinner steps from the hotel.. it was very clean, the linens were fresh and smelled amazing. Breakfast was included. Good value for money, conveniently located, and our host Anna was amazing. She accommodated an early arrival after our cruise departure and also set up breakfast early to ensure we had something to eat before leaving on our trip home. I definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you Anna for making the end of our trip memorable!
