The manager Luca went above and beyond in looking after us during our stay. He was easily reachable via sms messaging and was courteous and helpful at all times. He arranged the transfer from FCO Rome airport, and because of our horrendous delay with the airline he managed to get the taxi to us in the early hours of the morning. My wifes walker didnt arricve also and even helped us purchase a new one from the local mobility shop! The hotel exceeded our expectauions and was clean and really modern with lovely helpful staff. So close to the cruise terminal too. Highly recommend this fabulous hotel!

We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and hospitality of the Hotel Smart Cruise. All employees, from the housekeeper Roberta, to the front desk Raffaella, each providing excellent customer service. The rooms were clean. The lobby, albeit tiny, was clean and inviting. John (I think that was his name, or two men named John?) was very accommodating and always looking to make us more comfortable. The neighborhood felt a little sketchy when we first arrived, graffiti, empty buildings, construction … but this part of town was so busy that we never felt unsafe. We ate at two places nearby, both excellent food: Mastro Titta - La casa del boia and Bar Caffe. They do offer a shuttle to the Cruise Port, for a fee. Room-key (building-key) was very nice, felt secure at all times.

The lobby was tiny, that was really only a problem the next morning, when everyone was waiting for transport to the Cruise Port, with no place to sit.

I cannot express all of the things we liked from this hotel. There were 17 of us aged from 1-80. We were treated like royalty. First of all, once we got off of our cruise and took the shuttle to the main area, it was literally a 4 minute, flat, easy walk to the hotel. This was nice since we had a stroller, a wheelchair, and limited mobility people with us. We arrived early and were allowed to leave our luggage there until check-in. We were greeted by the manager, who was phenomenal and super hospitable. He showed us how to work everything, told us where to go for a nice day with food and fun, and was very pleasant. We went to the shore to hangout until our rooms were ready. It was about a 10 minute flat walk. The famous soldier kissing a nurse statue was there, food, views, and fun shoreline to dip our feet in. We were notified around 12 that our rooms were ready. For dinner, the other manager was on shift, walked us to a small joint that had food options for everyone. He could have told us how to get there, but he personally walked us there. The rooms were above our expectations. All 17 of us were very happy with the cleanliness, comfort of beds and pillows, and the free cookies, coffee, and water in our rooms. That says a lot to please 17 people! We needed a shuttle to the airport early the next morning for us and our luggage. They came in with a full tour bus! It was unbelievable! The manager walked us out and gave each of us an Italian magnet. This hotel deserves a million stars. We have never been to a better place to stay than this hotel. They were amazing! It really ended our vacation on a great note.

We booked this hotel because we were joining a cruise the following day. The location is perfect for picking up the free shuttle buses to the cruise ship, a 5-minute walking distance. It is also not far from the town and seafront, so we enjoyed the afternoon and evening in Civitavecchia. We were apprehensive because you have to download a QR code that serves as your room key and secures entry to the building, and we were afraid that if it did not work, we would be on our own. No worries there! Luka, the manager, WhatsApped us the day before with photographs of how to use the code. When I replied that, owing to flight times, we would be arriving early, he replied, "No problem," as the rooms would probably be ready. Upon arrival, we were greeted by John, who was very attentive and helped with our cases. We were also offered coffee and cakes in the evening, which was most unexpected. On the morning of our departure, Luka was present, and again refreshments were available. This was truly appreciated as the rooms are booked as room only. The hotel will also provide transfers to and from Rome Airport, and although we did not take advantage of this, I am sure the organization would be impeccable. Should we cruise again from Civitavecchia, we will certainly be looking to book Hotel Smart Cruise.

Nothing to dislike.

Luca was superb! It took us 1.5 hrs to get through customs in Rome- absolutely horrible! (I added a pic of the line at Customs) But, Luca waited patiently for us, we kept in constant contact updating. John was great as well, the orientation to the hotel was very helpful. This place is actually right around the corner from where you go to take a bus to the ship, but we splurged E 30 for a taxi for assistance with our luggage. Well worth the amount. I would recommend to Luca to perhaps add that option (if able) to keep the funds in house ;) The room was great, nearby restaurants perfecto!

The property was very close to the cruise port. It was very clean and the room was large. Nice bathroom.

The outside of the property was identified as HSC and that didn’t jump out at me as being my hotel. We were walking past it when the afternoon desk manager called to us. I let the hotel know what time we would get to hotel and the staff member waited for us to make sure we could access the property and our room. That’s great service!!!!!.

there are only 10 room - we were in 7 which is on the alley side. we had no problem with noise - not sure about rooms on the other side of the hall. room was roomy enough and very modern. the hotel is literally around the corner from the cruise ship shuttle buses, so it could not be more convenient. there are also stores and restaurants a block away.

it is a bit sterile and we only had 1 small towel in the bath. there is no one on site, so can’t call to get anything.

Very clean, safe and comfortable! The hotel is a 3 minute walk to the cruise port and 5 minutes from the shops and restaurants. Luca is a gracious host. We appreciate his communication regarding entry into the hotel and our room. He arranged our transfer from the airport. Tony our driver met us on time and was a tremendous help with our luggage. Our drive to Civitavecchia was relaxing, which was so nice after a 10 hour flight. We arrived late in the evening and John greeted us at the hotel to ensure we had everything we needed. We will definitely stay at Hotel Smart Cruise again. Thank you!!

Everything was wonderful!

We highly recommend Luca & all the staff at Hotel Smart Cruise. Luca was very punctual, also kept us informed where to meet him at the airport when we arrived at Rome. Staff greeted us once we reached the hotel, so friendly, rooms are very modern & clean, Luca & staff could not do enough for us. We would definitely use this service again.

Nothing. Only slight change would be more paper cups for tea and coffee in room.

From our arrival it was great to meet Luca at reception and the hotel is kept immaculate and nothing a problem. A great place to stay very close to the sea front and cruise terminal. Sadly we arrived without luggage, due to major power failure at Manchester but Luca and his in house team very supportive and Luca even arranging for us to go back to airport the following day. A 5Star rated service all round and thanks also tk Claudio for his time taking us to the airport.
