We brought our dog and I had requested a room on the ground floor but we were given a room on the fourth floor even though they said it would have a balcony you couldn’t let the dog on it as there was no way of stopping her from going all the way from one end of the communal balcony to the other. The first time I let her out she went straight into next door but luckily it was the housekeeper and not the guest. Also no bins outside for dog waste so had to walk out of the hotel grounds to find one. Overall the room was really comfortable especially the bed and the air conditioning was excellent which was very important as it was very hot when we were there. Bathroom also excellent and very clean and modern with ample towels and toiletries. One of the best highlights was the pool there was never a problem getting loungers or towels etc. Another highlight was the Kitchen restaurant this was exceptional everything about the experience the food the staff and the wine exceeded our expectations.

The location wasn’t great. Also when we tried to take our dog on the ferry into Como we were turned away because in Italy it’s against the law not to have a muzzle for your dog regardless of the size or breed this included a taxis ordered by the hotel and bus and train services.

The hotel is very nice. Rooms are clean. The bed and pillows are top tier quality. Breakfast is amazing.

The location of the hotel is a bit shady if you ask me ... going outside during the night to see the lake seems like walking in the bad outskirts of the city. Also, the view is not that great. You cannot see anything from the hotel balcony so it is not worth paying extra for the balcony. To be honest, it seems to be a bit too pricy compared to other 5 star hotels from Europe ... but maybe it is the Como effect :)

staff was excellent to the customers. they serve only for the comfort of the customers. i also like a lot waitress with Down Syndrome, how she was behaved by the Sheraton Team and how much good quality of service she gave back to us. i will visit this hotel only for the hotel attitude giving disable people a great working environment.

I stayed at the Sheraton Como for five days as a base to tour the area and do some hiking. The staff were friendly and all the reception staff speak English. I was upgraded when I arrived (I'm a Marriott Bonvoi member), which was a nice touch, and my room was great - large, comfortable and with a wonderful view of the lake and mountains. The sound isolation was not perfect, but it was quiet enough. The bathroom was very clean. The hotel has very good facilities - an underground car park (EUR18 / day), a good fitness centre, an outdoor pool with loungers, etc. There are three restaurants, but only two were open when I was there - the casual dining place was shut, which was unfortunate. That said, the food and service at the Gusto restaurant was definitely worth a visit. The breakfast buffet was extensive. The hotel is about a 45 minute walk from Como centre (along the lake-shore), which suited me fine, but might be an issue if you are less mobile. You can borrow bicycles from the hotel, but personally I would not cycle on the busy, narrow roads in the area. The hotel is closer to Cernobbio (15-20 minute walk), where there is a good range of restaurants and a lovely public square on the lake. So long as you don't mind a bit of walking to get to places (parking in the whole Como area is busy) or you just plan to stay and use the hotel's extensive facilities I would definitely recommend the Sheraton Como.

There were no major problems, just a few quibbles. The hotel is used for conferences, and while they are kept mostly separate from guests, it does make the hotel busy at times. The maid-service were clearly very busy every day, and sometimes might not make up your room until well into the afternoon (or not at all if you come back early). I understand the need for hotels to conserve water, but the shower water pressure was very low, making showers quite a long affair. Finally, as noted, sound isolation is good but not perfect, and if you have someone making a loud phone call in the room next door you will get to hear it !

The hotel was very comfortable and luxurious. The staff was lovely and the view at the pool was fantastic. Good road connections to elsewhere on the lake.

There are no views of the lake. We had a rear facing room that partly overlooked what looked like a warehouse. we would just go sit by the pool and enjoy the Mountain View but it would have been nice to overlook the lake. Como itself is a lovely place to stay tho it was at least half an hour’s drive to many key sights.

We had a very pleasant stay to celebrate a birthday in the family. The entire team at the Sheraton went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and enjoyable. The breakfast was tasty and full of variety and the team made a very nice gesture to celebrate my wife's birthday.

The only con is the temperature in the jacuzzi could have been hotter

The pool area was very nicely laid out and there were plenty of places to sit in the hotel and the spa was lovely too

There is an ironing room so you have to go and find it and it is set up for right handed people so very irritating for a left hander- wasn’t impressed with this lack of service in a hotel of this quality

Helpful staff, good facilities, comfortable room. Very good breakfast. Convenient location - 5 minutes walk to Tavernola ferry pier and 10 - 15 minutes walk to Cernobbio which has some very good restaurants. Good atmosphere/food at the poolside restaurant.

We had a terrace which was a bonus but it would have been better if the dead leaves had been blown out and the bushes trimmed - that's picky I know but we are keen gardeners. Mini-bar fridge wasn't working initially, took two requests to fix it. On day one we had face cloths but every day thereafter they were missing and we gave up asking for them.

It was very clean and was very conveniently located next to public transportation. Rooms were clean with modern decor and excellent food and service. Very helpful and polite staff who helped us with restaurant booking in Lake Como and recommended places to visit and gave us tips to maximise our stay

Loved the hotel and pool area outside was fantastic staff were fantastic and gave us so much information about how to see local attractions and bus ferry times etc

Solarium was not hot as it should be hot like a jacuzzi but wasn’t and that the hotel lacked spa and sauna facilities add these and it would be fantastic also price is rather on the steep side
