Since booking Vista Lago, we have been so excited and it didn't disappoint! The views from the B&B were out of this world amazing! Our room was beautiful, immaculately clean and tidy, and smelt wonderful. The finishing touches were all top quality. The bedding and towels felt luxurious. The toiletries smelt lovely. Stunning outside space. The mini bar was a lovely touch and very reasonably priced. The staff that we met couldn't have been more helpful and informative. I wish we had stayed longer than one night!

To get to the B&B taxis are required costing approximately €20 one way. This wasn't an issue for us as it was split between 3 of us, and we only stayed 1 night. This is not a negative, though, as it was worth every penny for the views, and we would stay again in a heartbeat ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing lake view, even though a bit spoiled by the highway in between. Very helpful staff.

As the name suggest, it is a B&B, so one shouldn't expect hotel-like services such as 24 hour reception, restaurant etc. I would also not recommend the hotel of you are long sleeper/ late night person as everything starts and finishes early, although the staff was always helpful and did their best to show flexibility. The hotel is also a bit isolated with no restaurants and bars around, so a car is a "must"

The view is really a highlight, also the kindness and flexibililty of the staff. We arrived a bit after their check-in hours, and got detailed self check-in instructions with photos attached. Room was clean and spacious with a terrace facing the lake and mountains. Sour breakfast was made fresh based on our wishes and my dietary limitations, the self service sweet italian breakfast included pastry, bread, fruit, cereals, jam, honey, nutella... Coffe was perfect, nespresso, I couldn't resist drinking 2 cups🙏. Parking spot is private in front of the building.

The hihgway is really close, it can be quite loud at night if you want to have window open.

A really pleasant surprise of facilities and layout on the inside. I read a review about someone having a shower with a view of the lake… and it’s true!! It’s really well designed and the quality of fittings is really rather good. Parking is also good. We had a sports car that rides low and even that just about cleared the entrance and ramp. Just go slowly!

There was nothing we didn’t like about the property. The only thing to be aware of was the approach to the property off the main road. We approached in our own vehicle both at night AND in the rain and missed it on the first pass.

Our room was a lake/garden view room and had a great view of the lake. Parking was on the top of the rooms and you have to take stairs down to the rooms. One of the best features of the room was the AC, given the temperature in late June/early July. It worked well and was very quiet. The outer wall was window and glass door which exited onto a terrace with a table and chairs and offered a great view of the lake. Breakfast was a selection of cheeses, cold cuts and pastries (typical throughout the north). Scrambled eggs were available upon request also. Outside seating was an option for breakfast. This was a great place to stay in Como; far enough from the hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy the town. The hosts were very accommodating in providing information about what to see and where to eat in the area. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

The only downside was the highway that passed very near the B&B which you could hear anytime you sat outside. Inside the room, the heavy window/door blocked the noise. Also, at the end of the driveway exiting the property to get on to the main road you had to turn very near to a blind curve in the road, making it difficult to see traffic coming from the left.

We had a wonderful time at VistaLago. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The location is unbeatable, offering stunning views of Lake Como and mountains. The beautiful hortensias and the abundance of green trees surrounding the hotel made our stay even more wonderful. Our room, with its direct view of the lake, that was even possible from the shower, was absolutely amazing. The service was exceptional. The staff's warm and welcoming treatment made us feel right at home. Although breakfast was typically sweet Italian, the staff kindly prepared a salty breakfast for us, which we greatly appreciated. Our vacation was devoted to our 20th marriage anniversary and it made our special occasion even more memorable. I highly recommend having a car, since the hotel is located on the hills far from the center of the city, the parking is available. Overall, our stay was perfect, Como is amazing. We will definitely return.

Noisy highway lower on the hill, but this is not the fault of the hotel, the beautiful view of the whole lake compensates for this disadvantage . with the window closed at night you can not hear anything.

The design/look and feel of the building was really nice and the view from the room out to the lake was amazing. Also the best staff in a hotel I have ever met. 10/10 you must stay here if going to Lake Como.

Room is nice and spacious. Unlimited coffee and drinks displayed in the lobby. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. We tried walking down the way to the bus stop but it was far and dangerous and we called the B&B staffs and they saved us in the middle of the street.

Advisable to have a car if you’d stay here otherwise must arrange transportation or coordinate with the hosts. I was told that bus stop was only 10-15 mins walk but it’s not. It’s very dangerous to walk as there were no pedestrian lanes and cars drive so fast. Without a car, must prepare budget for taxis all time.

It was perfectly located with a gorgeous view of the lake (from the bed!) and easy to access from various directions. Our suite was super comfortable and spacious. Very clean and well equipped. The breakfast was abundant and offered many (healthy, thank you!) options.

I can’t think of anything other than maybe to please have two extra pillows in the closet instead of just one.

The location was perfect ( parking spot is available) You have the best view of the lake! The breakfast is fresh with great options! Coffee machine is available all the time (big plus for us). Very helpful people at the reception that provide us with a lot of tips and good options for restaurants and activities. We will return for sure!
