I recently stayed at BB lorenzo de medici and I cannot express how pleased I was with the entire experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive to all our needs. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, making it a perfect retreat after long days of exploring the city. The hotel’s location is also ideal, close to major attraction where we could relax without any noise thanks to soundproof windows. Breakfast was nice and coffee machine and the coffee capsules they left for us were good. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. I highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional and memorable stay! Thank you to the entire team for making our visit so special.

We stayed at B&B Lorenzo de' Medici in Florence for three nights, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is ideal—just a 10-minute walk from the train station and right in the city center. Our room was very clean, and the breakfast was great. Carmine was super helpful and even offered to do our laundry for free, which was a nice bonus. The price was fair, making it an excellent value. I highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Florence!

Excellent accommodation, superb location with a very attentive host My partner and I spent a weekend in Florence and had an amazing stay here. The accommodation is a short walk from the tram station and the central market with easy access to all the major sites. Our room was clean, modern, spacious, comfortable and well-appointed with a lovely bottle of Chianti awaiting our arrival. The breakfast is extensive with a good range of options and a great choice of good quality products. The host, Celestine, is the kindest, most caring and considerate man you will ever meet who went above and beyond in ensuring that we enjoyed our stay and our weekend away in Florence. His communication pre-arrival was excellent with very clear directions and instructions. He greeted us on arrival and carried our cases up two flights of stairs, and then spent time with us making some excellent suggestions/recommendations in terms of restaurants and places to visit. My partner was seriously unwell on our last day of our stay and Celestine checked in with me sending regular messages to see if he was ok or needed anything. Following the cancellation of our flight back to the UK on the Sunday evening due to the storm, Celestine was extremely helpful in allowing us to keep our room and extend our stay for another night. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this accommodation to anyone who is looking to stay in Florence

The B&B was easy to access via train. Carmine is an amazing host, he contacted us beforehand, sent us a map of the location, and informed us about our stay. he was very helpful. the room was very clean and had everything we could ask for. Breakfast was delicious. we left our baggages after the check out to explore the city. Thank you for making Florence an amazing trip for us! hope to see you again.

The bed was a little hard. Also, the location is directly above the leather market, so it's definitely not a quiet neighbourhood (although the rooms are pretty well insulated from the noise below).

Pros: excellent AC, great price for what you get, free laundry service!!! breakfast, location (easy walk to train, Duomo, in the market) cleanliness, hospitality, laundry service, amenities, no street noise, water cooler to refill bottles, bottle of wine and drinks in fridge.

three flights of stairs (the host carried my luggage upon arrival), firm beds (good for my back), views, occasionally a door buzzes when u enter your room, so sometimes u can hear that when others enter.

Carmine is the best host we’ve ever had! He made us feel so welcomed the entire 4days we spent there. Extremely accommodating. Our initial room was having maintenance done on the AC, so he graciously moved us to room with a working AC. The room was spacious and very clean. The coffee/expresso maker in room was delicious. The breakfast was so delicious and a variety of options to choose from and is served in a separate kitchen/dining room. Carmine is reachable via phone all the time. We got complimentary wine, chocolates, bottled water, beer, and soda. This place is about 100feet from Mercado Centrale which has the most delicious Italian food. The next time we’re in Florence this is where we will definitely stay! Gracie mille Carmine!

Our experience at this hotel was absolutely fantastic. What truly made it stand out was the incredible host, Carmine. He went above and beyond to make us feel genuinely welcome, and his warm hospitality made a world of difference. He was always ready to accommodate our needs and shared fantastic local tips that significantly enriched our trip—turning a great stay into an unforgettable one. The room was spotless, the bed very comfortable and breakfast had great variety. We felt like home. The location is also unbeatable—just a short walk from all the main attractions, making it super convenient to explore the city. We absolutely loved our time here, and without a doubt, we’ll be staying again if we return. Highly recommended!

Carmine was exceptionally hospitable, helpful and friendly. He left treats for us on arrival (wine & chocolates) and helped us in so many ways, including carrying our heavy luggage up and down the stairs and out to the taxi which he arranged and waited with us until it came. Silvana also helped us during the provided breakfast. The location was at the San Lorenzo market with lots of restaurants around, yet quiet at nights . Good shower, comfortable beds, choice of pillows, good air-conditioning.

Storage was limited to hanging rails plus bedside cabinets, so fine for a short stay like ours, but someone staying longer would regret the lack of a chest of drawers. There was no table and only one chair.
