Perfect location, and very fair price compared to other Hotels in Florence!

If there is some room for improvement, then in the noice cancelling. Room doors and windows are old, and with some gaps, and inner walls thin, so you hear not only if the person in the next room listens loud music, but every step, shower etc. So bring earplugs.

This hotel actually exceeded my expectations. I know European hotels can be a mixed bag, but the rooms were new, and it was very clean and convenient. I like it a lot and would highly recommend. There was nearby laundry self-service, and the hotel staff were all super, super nice and friendly. It really meant a lot to me how helpful and kind they were with all my questions. You can just tell they want you to have the best time, and they care about your experience. I think in general Florence can feel a bit like a tourist trap, but this hotel had so much Italian warmth and hospitality. Would come again! Also the location was amazing. Right by tram for airport and close to Mercato Centrale and most of the attractions. Really was super ideal.

The room was a little cold, but it was a necessity because of the mosquitos during this time of the year. And the little fridge (which I was happy to have at all!) was a bit icy. The showers are also very small, and I'm a smaller person, but even for me it was snug. If you're very tall, it would be a bit uncomfortable.

Comfortable small hotel right in heart of Florence. I would recommend it for travelers for 3-5 days ( I stayed 4 night). Easy to rich any historical place by feet. Excellent breakfast with prassuto, ham, cheese, fruits, eggs, yogurt coffee, and very clean area for breakfast. Also find out nice garden on first floor behind building. Also a lot of places to eat just next to hotel. Stuff was very helpful and friendly with explanations and calling taxi.

For some reason they did not replenish toiletries for 3 days (same piece of soap) until i asked them. Also it is located in the heart of Florence and at late evening could be a lot noise from the street.

Staff were super friendly and helpful (they even posted my postcard for me). Location of the hotel is fantastic, right next to the Cappelle Medicee and San Lorenzo Church. It's also just a few minutes walking between the hotel and the tram stop or train station. There are loads of bars and restaurants nearby, also a few supermarkets. You can get everywhere on foot from this hotel. The rooms were very clean and beautiful. There are a double set of windows which were great to keep out the noise from outside. There were toiletries in the bathroom (shampoo / conditioner / shower gel, tissues, shower cap, soap). My room was pretty spacious for European standards and for me as I had booked a single room but they gave me a double. The bed was very comfy. There is a courtyard garden where you can relax and enjoy some quiet time, you can also order a drink at the bar. Breakfast was buffet style with mostly cold options. There was filter coffee but also a machine where you could choose other types of coffee. If I visit Florence again, I will definitely stay here again.

A power plug near the table / desk would have been handy. My room was just in front of the kitchen so every morning there was a bit of noise from the preparation of breakfast. And there was some noise from the hall and neighbours but that's the case in every hotel I've been. The shower door was a bit on the small side. There was a mirror above the headboard of the bed which wasn't very useful.

First and foremost, I definitely loved the location and the comfortable room( the second one I got following my request because the one I was assigned was a bit noisy) Secondly,I particularly appreciated the friendly and amiable proactive reaction of the young receptionist named Christian who handled the issue in the most professional manner. Last but not least,I would like to point out that my stay at the Hotel Palazzo Benci was marvelously enhanced by the delightful and most pleasant personality of Mrs Ursula Fallani ,the head receptionist who knew how to sort out things and above all,who recommended me a few must to see spots. The breakfast A bit too plain to my taste but this will in no way change underrate the hotel

The hotel is perfectly situated, a short walk from the main station, but near to all main sights. Everything worked well - the air conditioning was efficient and relatively quiet, the double windows ensured that the room was silent despite the noisy street below. The best noise proofing I've experienced. Staff were charming. The shower was efficient with a good shower head. My single room was small but adequate, with a very comfortable bed.

The shower cabin in my single room was tiny, about 2 feet square, so if you are a large person, I would book a bigger room or check with the hotel about the shower size. Also the toiletries provided are sachets of combined shower gel / shampoo, and small soap discs for hand washing, so if you want hand/body lotion or hair conditioner then bring your own.

The location was fantastic, central and within easy walking distance of the train station, the Duomo and other main attractions. Lots of restaurants and places to eat nearby. All the staff I met were very friendly and helpful. The soundproofing in my room was amazing, I had a room overlooking the piazza with all its activity and traffic, yet did not hear any noise.

The breakfast could have had more hot food options, but it was still good with lots of variety. There was no kettle in the room, but this seems typical of older properties in Italy.

Great location, easy for walking to visit the museum, cathedral, bridges, etc. The staff was really kind and helpful. The breakfast has variety, I liked that they have a coffee machine autoservice and the usual coffee (you can choose between several options), the place for breakfast is beautifully decorated. The room was clean, comfortable bed and with a view to the garden

Only in the garden was hot because of the summer season. The hotel has A.C. but the garden doesn't have an entrance of fresh air, Maybe some ventilator would be fine to make the air circulate.

Location incredible, beautifully maintained, immaculately clean, good breakfast, quadruple glazing to reduce the noise from outside

The air con was not operating and I was not told this so I spent the whole first night trying to fix it! There were no tea/coffee making facilities. Whilst the location is amazing, as it is in the centre of the city there is lots of noise until the early hours from the bars below. I could not have a window open so the room was stuffy but quiet

I have no negative comments at all regarding my stay. I booked a single room which was small but perfectly functional, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. The whole hotel was very clean. I had a great night sleep each night I was there. The room had a fridge and air conditioning too. The staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Breakfast is continental style which I like, and the dining area was pleasant. The location is great, all the churches and museums that I wanted to visit were in walking distance. I plan to return to Florence next year and will book another stay here. Highly recommended.
