Staff were friendly and welcoming, good location and room size was good. Room was always clean and tidy. Rooftop terrace view of Florence was amazing.

The bathroom is a wet room and didn’t drain very well, made it hard to use bathroom after a shower due to wetness. shower near the door which caused a few issues with water coming into the room (bottom of bathroom door was rotten due to water damage so can tell this has been an issue for a while). Didn’t like that we had to hand key in every time we went out and collect from reception upon return, made it long winded to drop stuff off while out and about.

The place was lovely! The staff was very friendly and accomodating the entire time. We saw four gentlemen working the hotel, that seemed to be all family members - but it's just a presumption. Whenever you leave the room to see the city, you leave the key at the reception, but there's always a person there to hand it to you when you came back. There's also room service that makes the bed, takes out the trash and provides new shampoo packets in the bathroom. The hotel seems old, but very clean and well kept, so it gives a nice, vintage atmosphere to your stay. The room was nice and clean, and there was very nice free breakfast served in the morning - bread, cheese and ham to make nice grill ham and cheese sandwiches in a panini grill. There's also jams and nutella provided if you want to make a PBJ. There's also cereal, small servings of yoghurt, canned fruit, and very delicious pastries and croisants with filling. There are two small grocery stores just accross the street - one regular, and one with asian goods, so you can buy all sorts of stuff you might need. Very much recommended.

The location is really the main attraction of this hotel. Very close to the center (you can see the Duomo from the terrace) but far enough away to be calm and without much commotion at night. The staff is very friendly and any questions or problems they try to resolve immediately. Breakfast is limited but we are in a two-star hotel so it meets expectations (I just wish they had real bread). However, the croissants are good and if you are lucky enough to get them with filling, even better :-) The room had its peculiarities and challenges, especially for a tall person, but nothing that caused too much inconvenience (and a few headbutts to learn from). The bed was comfortable although a little short for a tall person.

It's not so much a negative comment but a warning as I don't know if the information is clear in the hotel description. The hotel is on the fourth floor with a small (and very slow) elevator, so if you are claustrophobic, be aware that there are a lot of stairs to climb (the ceilings are very high). And if the elevator breaks down, know what you have to go up (or down) with or without luggage. I had no problems going up and down the stairs but I wasn't expecting the hotel to be a floor in a building and not the whole building :-)

A great Surprise! I stayed at Hotel Bodoni in Florence for about two weeks. Given that it is a budget hotel, I was prepared for a lower standard and hoped it would meet a basic level that wouldn't detract from the wonderful experience of staying in Florence. The surprise was perfect. This is a small, clean, organized, and well-maintained hotel. The air-conditioned rooms are comfortable and clean, and the service is very dedicated and familial. The reception operates 24/7, and the staff is happy to assist and solve any problem. There is fast wireless internet throughout the hotel. The hotel's location is excellent - a short walking distance from all the attractions, with a large supermarket and a pharmacy across the street. The breakfast is very good - you can eat on a beautiful rooftop terrace or in the air-conditioned hotel restaurant. In short, this is a hotel I would be happy to return to even when not on a budget trip, offering excellent value for money.

The water pressure and warmth could be better.

I spent 6 nights here and I think it was great for a 2 star hotel. The elevator is a little bit small, but does the job. The staff was very friendly and polite. The breakfast had the same things each time, like croissants, toasts coffee, juices and yogurts. However everything was refilled right after it ran out. The rooms were very clean and has been cleaned everyday by the staff. The doors and furniture were old but did it's job. The air condition was working as well. There is also a solarium on the top of the building with sunbeds and chairs with beautiful view on the city, great for spending the evenings. Location is also great, everything is in walking distance from the hotel.

The doors for the hall are not sound proof, so you can hear people walking by.

The front desk and support staff were excellent. Thank you Alex for all your help and advice. Location was just outside of tourist center with very good local stores and restaurants. Check out the restaurants and gelato stops in Piazza di San Pier Maggiore. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment which was roomy enough for the three of us, though it could use more seating in the living room.

We would have liked more selection for breakfast, especially a capuccino rather than brewed coffee. That said, breakfast was free and would be adequate for most. We walked a couple blocks to pay for what we wanted, which was fine.

This is funny little hotel about half a mile from the Duomo. The staff were amazing, couldn’t fault them in any way, very friendly very helpful. My room was a single but had a surprise balcony, basic but comfortable. The bathroom had a great solution to being small with a collapsible shower screen - it was perfect!! Breakfast was simple but there was plenty of it and you could also eat outside on the patio. There was a roof terrace as well. No evening meal but there is a small bar. Location wise there were plenty of good places to eat and a grocery store just over the road. I would really recommend this hotel if you want a budget friendly clean hotel in central Florence. It was a great stay!

Breakfast whilst plentiful and perfectly adequate would have liked some fresh fruit options.

Unbeatable location in Firenze downtown (10!!!), you can reach everything in a few minutes on foot. We had been allocated a quiet, well air-conditioned and thoroughly cleaned room. The towels were changed every day. Breakfast was of a decent variety and served on the top floor of the building. Staff are polite and friendly, especially the middle-aged man (called Alessandro, I think), who is busy every morning in the breakfast room to keep customers satisfied.

The elevator is very-very slow and, taking into account the lots of customers, it's faster to go up and down on foot. There is no lobby to have a coffee or a drink, except for the terrace on top of the building, which is not a good idea during long and hot summer days. Our room was not spacious enough. Some hanging points in the room and the bathroom would improve the whole image and would be appreciated.

Location was fantastic - walking distance to most places!, breakfast fantastic (croissants were so good), room is a good size, bed comfortable, and staff very friendly!

the shower really let this room down! It only had a tiny screen which half covered the toilet. If we were washing our hair, water went everywhere even when we were careful; we would have to wipe the toilet down after every shower as it got covered in water. The shower mat got soaked every time, there wasn’t really any point in using it. We loved this place and would definitely stay again, the showers just need a reno!

The location. It was near the historic center. The rooms were big and clean. The breakfast has various selection of croissants, cold cuts , hot and cold drinks. This is my second time staying in this place,

The shower room. We found the door to the shower room strange. the floor will all get wet because there are just two panels enclosing the shower. The check in - It is done on the top floor where there is also the breakfast room. Then we have to go down again with all our luggage to the bedrooms located in the lower floors. Good thing is that there is an elevator. However it is always a hassle.
