Breakfast, most of the choices are homemade and good quality produce and a vast selection to choose from. All of the staff I encountered were polite, helpful and informative. The hotel is clean and tidy. Our room overlooked the waterfall on the river Arno. Sitting on the balcony enjoying the view in the evening sun, whilst sipping a beer is very pleasant.

something to bear in mind is the actual distance the hotel is to the centre of Florence. It is a 15 euro ride in a taxi or a good 25/30 minute walk. We had a hire car and the charge per day that the hotel charges for parking is 35 euros. The car is housed somewhere away from the hotel and a 1 hour notice period is required by the hotel for collection and drop off.

The hotel was clean and staff very friendly and helpful. The room was a little small, but overall our experience of the hotel was extremely good.

it was beautiful- both Modern and culturally distinct. The outside patio, bar and restaurant were absolutely gorgeous and the breakfast bar was not only a piece of art to view but everything was so delicious. We enjoyed th food, the service, and the atmosphere so much we ate dinner twice on the patio- and s special shout out to the chef who made the fantastic sautéed spinach- highly recommend! We also used the spa, and it was really peaceful and relaxing as well. Definitely coming back here- really a lovely place. Oh- staff was incredible, and extraordinarily kind and helpful!

This hotel is really well located - within walking distance of the centre and main attractions. Exceptional staff who bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We had expected a bigger room than we initially had been allocated however, the staff went over and beyond to relocate us when a bigger room became available and were very gracious. I’d also encourage guests to take advantage of the spa especially Daniella’s gifted massage hands - an absolute must after a trek around the city! Matteo at the reception desk couldn’t have been more helpful.

Not a dislike per se, but guests staying for longer than a couple of nights might find the modern sleek monochrome decor a bit too minimalist.

This hotel is genuinely friendly and luxurious the staff go well beyond expectations to keep you happy from the moment we walked in we knew we were home as for my car. I bought my Ferrari from Bath England and had organised them to park it for me as of course, any owner of a car I went out to meet the guy that was parking it as I went out he was going over the car to make sure to check if there are any dents or scratches in it after marking his paper down I asked him about driving had he had experience? He said yes I’ve worked with many high-end luxury cars. You don’t need to worry and that was exactly it when the car returned to me was in perfect order on time as we left couldn’t have asked for more. The whole culture of the place is very pleasing and genuine and makes you feel very home like Without being too fussed over. If you know what I mean you must stay here. It’s just really great place to be a short walk from everywhere safe as houses and as comfortable as could be the food is magnificent breakfast is the best we’ve seen on holiday by far the attention to detail was amazing All the staff and I repeat all the staff were just terrific. Can’t thank them enough and will see you next time.

A modern clean hotel within walking distance (about 10-15 mins) to the heart of Florence with an abundance of shops and restaurants. The staff were very helpful particularly the man at reception (can’t remember his name), Mila in the kitchen and Daniella in the spa who gave me one of the best massages I’ve ever had.

Our initial room was disappointingly small with a not so nice view, but the man on reception was extremely helpful and gave us an upgrade to a standard size room (307), which made our stay more enjoyable. The rooms at the front of the hotel (with balconies) overlooking the river are beautiful, but obviously quite expensive. The mattresses are quite hard.

We chose this hotel for a three-day stay because of its lovely location by the river and its proximity to the city center, which is just a 15-minute walk away. We spent most of our time outside the hotel, so while the rooms weren’t the largest, they were perfectly adequate. They were always clean, tidy, and restocked daily. The service at the reception and during breakfast was exceptional, and they took excellent care of us (special thanks to Mrs. Katarina from the restaurant). The breakfast was absolutely amazing, offering a wide selection of drinks and food, both savory and sweet, as well as fruits, vegetables, and local specialties. Thank you!

What makes River Hotel unbeatable is not the fact that it has the best location in Florence (close enough to walk to the city but far enough to avoid the noise and crowds), nor that it is really beautiful and clean (it is amazing), but the fact that it has the most kind, supportive and serviceable staff. From the reception, breakfast area, valet parking, etc, everybody was really helpful and kind. They solved every request exceeding expectations and working hard to take care of luggage, restock food, take care of our car, find a pharmacy or whatever was needed at the moment. Would definitely choose them again if going back to Florence.

We were hoping to use the spa in the morning so the fact that it only opens from 3 PM made us feel really disappointed which forced me to give you a 9 instead of the 10 you deserve.
