The location is incredible, the sea and restaurants are less than 5min walk away from the hotel. The hotel administrative and cleaning staff are incredibly friendly and forthcoming with answering questions, giving recommendations or providing any additional necessities you might have. There is a terrace on the 2nd(?) floor, which provides a great spot to chill and talk with friends or family that are staying in other rooms. In addition by the front of the hotel are also seats to enjoy the weather and atmosphere outside, in our case watching the canary birds flying around.

The breakfast isn't anything to dream about but if you like boiled eggs, bread/croissants, Nutella, juice, and free coffee then this is sufficient. I honestly can't even really complain about the size of the room, as the terraces and lounge areas make up for it!

I was thrilled that they had parking on-site, as I couldn't fit my car in any of the parking places on the street - and there were none anyway! Also - the reservation said that single rooms had no A/C - but mine did - and it was 35 -40 degrees and humid while I was there - it was GREAT! Also - the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly! The location was great - just a couple blocks from the promenade - a perfect spot, and a nice place to stay!

The hotel is off the centre of Genoa, which is a big advantage - you can calmly stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The area where the hotel is located is a quiet and respectable one. Besides, Bocadasse is one of the popular tourist attractions in Genoa. La Capannina provides very good services despite somewhat basic accommodation. The property is immaculately clean. It offers good breakfast in the morning, which is complimentary, and an excellent wi-fi connection throughout the whole building. The hotel is one of the oldest in the area which has some but not critical signs in some rooms. However, this does not diminish the merits of the hotel. I had stayed in the hotel a number of times before and will certainly get back in the future.

We booked this hotel in an emergency situation, because the accommodation we booked before was unacceptable for us. This hotel definitely exceeded expectations. The staff was extremely friendly and spoke perfect English. The room was comfortable and clean and we could even park our car for 10 EUR/night on a small parking place at the hotel. The area was very nice, the hotel is close to the see promenade.

Walking distance to the famous Boccadasse and coastline, with many eating establishments in the area. Close to public buses and one of the stops of the sightseeing hop-on, hop-off bus. Good breakfast and coffee selection.

The building is old and is probably in need of renovations. The bathroom shower size is meant for people who are petite size.

The guy on reception was a bit of a comedian which was really nice and welcoming after a long day's motorbike ride. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him. There was no restaurant open in the hotel and the reception guy told me to where to find some local bars and restaurants etc. The hotel itself was OK, nothing to write home about or complain. It's in quite a good location and if I was visiting the town again I would happily choose this one.

Nothing really, breakfast is not as good as most hotel's I visited in France. I know this is Italy and maybe they do things differently, (I'm sure they do actually), but a bit variety here ?

This was a hidden gem! We were greeted with the loveliest receptionist and given a beautiful room with a balcony. The room was large, very clean and the breakfast was perfectly up to standards. It is of an older style but it lacks nothing because of that. It is 3 minutes walk from the beach. Excellent for how much we paid and we recommend.

It was a wonderful journey to Genoa. The hotel, kind staff, and view were excellent. The hotel is located in a beautiful area and close to the Boccadasse which is a nice village with nice bars and restaurants :)

Very friendly staff, above all the night receptionist, the room was nice and always clean. position of the hotel is excellent...a few steps from bus station to rich GE center and 100m from the sea. Very good they offer also rent a bicycle but pity they dont have baby chiar option. The only thing they could improve a bit is the breakfast as they (in Liguria) have so many delicious they could offer.

Perfect location five minutes walk to the town center or the Boccadasse beach with bars and restaurants. Convenient parking at the premises. Very nice and helpful staff! The rooms were nice and clean. Good breakfast included.
