I stayed at Hotel Ambasciatori in Ischia for one week and had a truly wonderful experience. My room had a balcony with a beautiful beach view, and the entire property was clean, peaceful, and well-maintained. Daily housekeeping ensured everything remained spotless throughout my stay. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, making me feel genuinely welcome. I would especially like to highlight Filippo at the front desk, who went above and beyond to assist with directions, recommend excellent local restaurants, and explain how to navigate the island by bus. He took time to walk me through a map and made sure I felt confident getting around. His warm smile, professionalism, and local knowledge made a huge difference—he is truly an asset to the hotel. I highly recommend Hotel Ambasciatori to anyone visiting Ischia and would gladly return.

Filippo in reception was friendly and helpful . He gave us advice on where to eat, what buses to catch to see the rest of island and assisted us with other matters during our stay. Thank you Filippo! The location on the beach is good with close proximity to shops, restaurants etc. However, the beach in front of the hotel is private and you have to pay a beach director if you want a sun lounge and you need to find somewhere (out of the private areas) to leave your towel and belongings. The pool is nice with some shade and a bar. There are lots of sun beds but these fill up quickly. The beds were comfortable and the rooms air conditioned with tile floors to keep them cool. We had a beach view room which had beautiful views across the ocean. The cleaning staff were friendly and did an excellent job of keeping the rooms and facilities clean.

The hotel had a lovely bar area. However, it was not staffed during our 5 day stay. We asked about this and we were directed to the pool bar. This was disappointing as the bar area furnished with indoor and outdoor areas with views across the beach and ocean. It is underutilised and would be the perfect location for a late afternoon aperitif . A jug, cups and glasses in the rooms along with tea and coffee making facilities would be useful, as well as an iron.

We had a fabulous few days in Hotel Ambasciatorri. In particular, all of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We noticed how much they respect each other and the excellent working relationship - particularly in the restaurant between the supervisor and main staff. Reception could not have been more helpful. There was a lovely selection for breakfast, and we were offered eggs and bacon off menu, without requesting it, which was very kind. The pool area is very comfortable and the hotel is right on the beach. Just a few minutes walk and you are right in the middle of everything, yet the hotel was peaceful during the day and in the evenings. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

We had a room with a sea view + a balcony. The beach was just below and we could go there any time. The swimming pool was also nice, but the weather wasn't that warm that we would have liked to sit by the pool, we just swam. The bathroom was nice, a lot of warm water. Beds were good, pillows a bit hard for us. The cleaning ladies came every morning to make to beds and clean the room +++ The breakfast was good, one could get for scrambled eggs&bacon if needed. I even got a hot tea pot to our table when I asked. The personal was very frendly and helpful and thoughtful as well. The receptionist, Philippo, was great!

There were quite much mosquitos and we couldn't keep the balcony door open in the evenings.

It is right on the beach with great restaurants for lunch. It is dated but very clean. You could walk easily to so many restaurants and shopping. It felt very authentic Italian with few foreigners. The pool was nice and heated. There were lots of sitting areas inside and out with beautiful flowers.

Breakfast needed improvement with the addition of fresh fruit. It was adequate but could easily be improved. If you ask, they will make eggs to order.

We went here as part of our honeymoon. We stayed in room 214 with a lovely view of the sea and a big balcony. When we checked in they surprised us with a glass of prosecco and snacks. The staff was very friendly and Filippo was very helpful to us, gave us great recommendations and went out of his way to make sure we had a good time. The breakfast was good with plenty of options even for us who do not enjoy the sweet pastries that most Italian places serve. Location was great for exploring Ischia Porto! We loved our stay here and will be returning!

The hotel was exactly what we were looking for to experience Ischia, the location straight on the beach was perfect and a very short walk to all the exceptional restaurants and great access to the bus terminal and port for exploring other parts of the island and nearby Prochida. For us the price was great value, the staff were exceptionally helpful and the cleaning staff were fantastic I don’t think I’ve stayed anywhere before where the room has been cleaned and towels changed daily.

While there was always sun beds available at the pool, a number were broken (but still usable) and often it was noticeable other guests took up multiple sun beds in excess of the number of people using them - but we were always able to find one for ourselves.

The hotel is a great value. The location is perfect. Close to the port and Ischia Ponte (both walking distance), and right on the beach. The staff at the hotel are really lovely. I am gluten and lactose intolerant and they had a whole breakfast for me ready every day after learning that on day 1. The manager is also really great and helpful. It has a very homey vibe. The room itself is pretty basic but large and the AC was the best I had all trip in Italy, and I got a seaside room which had a cute balcony overlooking pool and beach, def worth it to upgrade to that. Cleaning services were great, there is a fridge in the room.

The bed was a bit hard and only a sheet as cover (no additional duvet bedding available in closet)

Wonderful, friendly, and helpful staff from front desk, to breakfast servers, to cleaning ladies for our room. Breakfast was extensive and very good with many options. Eggs and bacon offered most mornings. Breakfast served in a pretty dining room with inside and outside seating. Pool area is nice. Front desk staff helped us reserve a scooter and were very helpful with area suggestions. The hotel does own part of the beach, but no chairs or chair rental available at that area. There is chair rental available at other parts of the beach. Room and bathroom were up to date and cleaned daily.

Only complaint was location of air conditioner blew cold air on your head all night even when turned up to a higher temperature. It would run blowing harder as it cooled, but even when it shut off it still blew air. It was too warm to have off completely. Im not sure how this could be resolved.

We loved Hotel Ambasciatori. Our welcome from Mario was so warm and friendly. Our room was lovely and breakfast was superb. Philippe arranged a car hire for us which was so easy and excellent value for money. All hotel staff were very friendly. close (but not too close) to the main facilities in Ischia Port. A wonderful base for touring this lovely Island. Cant wait to go back and will use this hotel as a base for touring the whole island. spa area was a lovely surprise!
