The staff including Anna, Pietro and Gugliemo were very hospitable, helpful and friendly. It was very easy to make arrangements with them and they always greeted us happily with a smile. The rooms were cleaned every day and the atmosphere and location of the hotel are superb. A small detail we had water and beer in the fridge offered for free which was lovely.

The room could have had a slightly warmer/cozier atmosphere, considering how warm and lovely the exterior and also the garden areas of the hotel are :) The double bed could be a single double one instead of two singles, but the mattresses were very comfortable. Still great value for money and great experience.

Pros: - Friendly and helpful staff. Immediately I was welcomed by the staff and greeted with local lemon water. Anna was amazing and she recommended on how I could spend my time here. She even carried my heavy luggage up the stairs. - They have a breakfast downstairs you can join. Unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to, but would recommend as they have a chef on staff. - The room was new, clean and was designed with attention to detail. There was this cute little steps that led to the bathroom. Felt like my own space. - Room inclusion: kettle and coffee/tea, charging, mini bar, clothes rack, table, good air conditioning, that doesn’t make it get too cold, TV, and the bed was very comfortable with good back support. - Bathroom was excellent. It was the first time during my Europe trip that I had a good shower, bathroom amenities were included, like soaps and shower gel. The soap - sounds weird to comment on it but it was excellent. Good quality towels included. - Location is great. 10 min walk to the station and it’s situated in a quiet area without compromising on location. - Good security. Locks on doors and to the main entrance. I would stay here again.

Great location. Staff were very warm, friendly, and helpful. They highly recommended that I go to Portovenere, a half hour away (5 euros round-trip by bus), and I was really glad I did. It has a similar feel to Cinque Terre but without the big crowds.

My room was very small, but had everything I needed. It was funny because I went up 6 stairs to the bathroom, which seemed really big because it was about half the size of my room! There was a fragrance in the room, one of those plug-in things that emit a scent. It wasn't a bad smell, but I am sensitive to scents that aren't natural. The second night I actually put it outside my door. Other than that, it was a good stay and I would definitely consider staying here again!

A lovely hotel, right in the center, but set back enough from the main street, so there is no noise. Modern, clean, cheerful, TV, safe, fridge, everything needed was there. Spezia is a place that should definitely be visited. The manager of the hotel, Anna, is extremely friendly, very helpful for any question or problem. (La) Spezia is already worth enough to be visited, but you also have easy ways to see Cinque Terre, Portovenere, Pisa, Luca... Short stay :(

The property was very different from anything I have stayed in before. It is very arty. It was very unique. It was in a very good position about 10 mins from the train station and 10 mins from the port. Lots of bars and restaurants around. All the staff and the owner were brilliant. Anna gave lots of information about where to eat and where to go. She always greeted everyone in the hotel everyday. It is a very small quiet hotel just off the Main Street but it was very quiet.

As a solo traveller and female it could be a little daunting being the only person in the hotel as there are no staff there over night. It didn’t bother me but it is something to be aware of.

The location was an easy downhill walk from the railway station, in the centre of town with easy access to shops and restaurants. All staff were friendly, happy and available to help if needed.

The Hotel was a hidden gem, set back from the main pedestrian mall, but the alley (vicolo) can be easily missed when walking down the street, especially if not paying attention and trying to decide which if the many restaurants to dine at. So, as a guide, there is a Tigota on the corner of Vicolo dello Stagno and Via del Prione.

It’s in a central location between the railway station and the port to get one of the many boats. Although it’s central it’s quiet and tranquil. Decoration is quirky but it’s very clean the beds are comfortable and the sheets are of good quality. The bathrooms are new and are well kitted out. Rooms have A/C. All the staff (its family run) are absolutely fantastic. Anna seemed to be at reception for most of the time and she is amazing! So helpful!

There was NOTHING that we did not like?..

It is very well situated, right in the centre of this wonderful City but so tranquil and with outdoor space - a sweet terrace for breakfast. The staff - in particular Anna, who was amazing - she booked a fabulous restaurant for us, sorted out parking, and was a brilliant source of information and gave us the warmest welcome. Great to stay somewhere vibrant and individual and to be received so warmly.

This cute, artistic hotel is located perfectly - hidden in a side street right next to the main road with shops and restaurant. Anna from the hotel management welcomes the guests in a very friendly, warm manner and gives great insider tips to explore the area in and around La Spezia. Our room looked exactly like the pictures, with a spacious bathroom and a comfortable bed. At night it was very quiet, thus perfect to rest. We liked the art on the walls and the doors, it gives the hotel the special touch.

Maybe for a longer stay a larger storage space / wardrobe would be practical.

It is a beautiful old building with lots of history and character. We really liked the artwork on the walls which is quite unique. We recieved a very warm welcome from both the owner Guiglielmo and Anna. They gave us lots of tips on where to visit and restaurants to go to.

It was a shame the hotel were not able to offer us the breakfast on site but this was explained to us beforehand and we were offered a simple Italian breakfast at the cafe next door, which was fine.
