Everything was absolutely perfect! My girlfriend and I, as we were leaving Lucca, simply said to each other – we must write the best possible review, Max truly deserves it. From the very first contact, when he greeted us so warmly, to the room itself (which was even better than the one we had booked), the breakfast service, and all the effort he put into explaining what’s worth seeing in Lucca and what’s not… we were just more than satisfied. If we ever come back to Lucca – Max, siamo tuoi ospiti!

I have nothing to complain about under the “What I didn’t like” section – the only thing I’d perhaps suggest to dear Max (caro Max) is to maybe consider adding something like a warm egg omelette or some crispy bacon to the breakfast menu. Just something a bit warmer. The breakfast was fantastico as it is – this is only a friendly suggestion, Max!

Good location with parking for exploring Lucca. Very helpful and friendly host with great morning cappuccino! Kindly let us park our car for duration of our walk to Siena (10e per day)

Only one key card which was needed for the electrics so as a couple you cannot get into the building separately. The main front door was clunky and our room was directly above but luckily nobody seemed to come in late.

Great location just outside the walls of the Lucca centre giving great access to the restaurants, museums, churches, shops and bars. Property was very clean with good sized bedroom with modern large bathroom including good shower. Great host with lovely breakfast provided.

There was nothing to dislike.

Home away from home, clean comfortable, great location outside the city walls and the staff were amazing, accomodating and responsive, and the breakfast spread was something very special!!

The B&B is only about 10 minutes walking distance from the town centre. The place is kept very clean and tidy. Although the bedroom is located just outside the main road, it is really quiet at night. The owner was really helpful and had lots of tips for what to do and where to go. We were really happy with him and the property.

Not a huge dislike but on the website it states parking is available but it does not mention that it is at extra cost. There is parking but it is at 10 euro at night.

A 5 min walk from Elisa gate into the walled city, it’s the perfect spot if you’re visiting Lucca. Located in a beautiful building, the bedrooms are very well presented. There’s a great spread for breakfast, & tea & coffee is available at any time. Max and his crew are very friendly & made our 3 nites most memorable. Parking, which was much appreciated, is available on site for a fee.

Very clean, convenient to city walls, with plenty of lovely local restaurants close by. Max the host and his staff are friendly and speak excellent English. He went out of his way to accommodate our request to store luggage on our leaving day and allow us back into the property to pick it up

Not much. Tea and coffee in the room would be helpful (though it is provided downstairs).

The location of the B&B was convenient both for public transport from the airport and for getting into Lucca. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was too. Max was a very friendly and helpful host and the breakfasts were just super. The best recommendation that we can pay is that we will certainly return. Thank you Max.

The B&B is right on the corner of two main roads and the traffic noise was noticeable. We didn't mind it though as we are used to city living.

Wow, what an amazing place to stay in this beautiful city of Lucca. Perfect location just outside city walls. Such character in this building. Rooms so, so comfortable and spacious. Modern feel yet the character of this villa has been retained. Owner so friendly and helpful. Breakfast room and fab breakfast such a treat. A must for your stay in Lucca. I will definitely return.

AC did not work, therefore, to keep the room cool we opened windows which led to both of us being bitten by mosquitos or some kind of bug(s).
