Charming little villa right next to the walls of Lucca ensured a pleasant stay. High ceilings and tiled floor (might be cold for some in the winter). The breakfast was decent and the coffee good. The host is kind and attentive, the self check.in process is clear. The property is about a 15-min walk from the train station, but there's a bus just next to it, takes you around the walls or to the station. Beds are very comfortable I must say and the bathroom spacious. Very quiet and peaceful here at least in the winter and you'll get a great night's sleep. Great value for price.

Some minor things could be improved (which I assume would increase the price, but still) - turn up the heating in the winter (high ceilings and tiled floors), perhaps door hangers in the bathroom or a place to put clothes in there, maybe a decent sized TV, mini coffee machines in the room...

Great location outside the walls of Lucca. Easy to drive into/out of the property and with plenty of parking on site. They have rooms across 3 converted homes in a quiet neighborhood. A short walk to get into town. Reception is in a separate building, between the lodging buildings. Easy to check in / out and they had a map and information on Lucca to help us explore. No issues with my dog. Very nice breakfast in the lower floor of one of the lodging buildings. Overall great value since low cost but including parking, pet, and breakfast.

The wall mounted heater / AC unit decided when it wanted to work which didn't always match when we wanted it on.

The A/C unit was above the bed and when used there was a small leak which ran down the wall to the bed pillow. Someone did look at it but it wasn’t fixed during our stay. Fortunately, we were able to work around this issue (only used the fan as it wasn’t too hot). Was loaned a portable refrigerator, which was great, but we didn’t realize the outlet it was plugged in to was connected to the room’s lighting, which was along the opposite wall, until too late. Just a heads up for future users; use the outlet where TV is plugged into…

Lucca in Villa is very much like a boutique hotel, in fact the large bedroom and shower room were better than many 'hotels', Breakfast is 11/10, again a spread which would put many a hotel to shame. Location is perfect, just outside the gates of the walled city of Lucca, with onsite parking it was perfect. If we were to be booking in the area again there is no question Lucca in Villa would be it.

The only little niggle was that the shower only had an overhead rain adaption, no hand faucet which would have been welcome.

The bed was nice and comfortable and the shower size for Italy was excellent, better than a little box like most places. Breakfast had a good variety from Italian continental to being able to have pancakes and cereal or even grill your bread for toast.

Reception was a but tricky to find as its back off the street but otherwise very easy to get around

We were in a quadruple room which turned out to be a miniflat with 2 double bedrooms and a shared bathroom. I absolutely loved this villa! Beds were comfortable, everything was new or recently refurbjshed and it is on walking distance from the main Square in Lucca. It also offers parking. I would definitely return!

That we could only stay for 1 night!

Spacious room with Aircon, very nice and cool. Very quiet location. Good size and comfy bed. Friendly and welcoming staff. Very good choice of breakfast items, available from 8 and 10, which can be eaten outside or inside.

Nothing really.

Spotlessly clean; large, airy room; comfortable bed; soft bathroom towels; excellent choice of pastries, cakes, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, jams, fruits, small pancakes & maple syrup for breakfast. Impressed that the guy supervising breakfast thoroughly cleaned tables and chairs between diners. The B&B, which is made up of two adjacent houses and situated in a quiet road, was easy to find and it was very good to have parking on the premises behind the two houses. This property was good value considering the above and also that it is only five minutes easy walk to the nearest gate in the town walls. And Lucca is a delight.

We had a very nice stay, checking in was easy with a code we got in advance. The location is excellent, very quiet but only a quick walk till you're in the centre of Lucca. The breakfast was tasty and our room big and comfy. Definitely recommend staying here.

The toilet didn't flush very well but this was only a very minor inconvencience.

Best place we’ve stayed in Italy. This B&B is a must go to, and I’m sure we will come back when we next come to Lucca. We came as a family of 3 with a baby/toddler and they allowed us early check in to help with our child’s sleep routine. On arrival reception had cold drinks, coffee/tea and snacks, did not expect it but was so thoughtful and very much appreciated in the heat. The room was spacious, cot was provided in great condition, air con was cool and the bed super comfy. The location was perfect, just outside the walls of Lucca which gave us a nice cool breeze the city didn’t allow, and also super close to Lidl for grocery needs. The buffet breakfast was to die for! So many fresh yummy foods that helped our little one get a good feed as she can be picky first thing, most places with breakfast provided we’ve needed to bring things for her to eat, this has everything and sooo yummy from pastries to pancakes, cold meets, cheeses, fresh fruit, bread, toast, yoghurt and an array of cereals, as well as tea, coffee and juice! The staff were so friendly and accommodating, allowing us a slightly later check out also as we lost track of time in Lucca the day of departure. Couldn’t speak or suggest more highly, thank you thank you thank you!
