Staff were friendly and accommodating. They let us keep a kettle in the room as we needed to leave very early for a day trip. The shower was spacious compared to other places. There was a hair dryer, which was old but worked fine. The bed was big and comfy. The location was good, 10 minutes walk from central station. There was also a separate toilet in the corridor. Towels were clean and fresh.

Slow to respond on booking.com, but very nice in person. No lift, so carrying luggage up the spiral staircase was a bit difficult, but doable. One staff member even offered to help us. There was only one plug point in the room, which seemed a little dodgy but worked fine. One of the bedside lights didn't work. This is definitely a one-star hotel, but it is clean and serves its function well.

My husband and I stayed for one night. The hotel is not far from Central Station and therefore is convenient for the train to the airport. The area around the hotel was safe and clean. The hotel itself is very clean and we had everything we needed in our double room, which was a very good size. I think it was bigger than it looked in the photos online. The reception area is on the First floor, up a flight of comfortable stairs. There is a bar at Reception and we purchased coffees and alcohol and had croissants from there in the room in the morning. There are a couple of tables and chairs in the Reception. We found the family who run the hotel to be extremely pleasant and friendly and helpful. We liked the hotel very much and found it extremely good value and can recommend it highly.

There was nothing we did not like.

This place is weird, I wouldn’t describe it as a b&b or hotel, it’s more like a hostel tbh. The rooms are basic, you don’t have your own bathroom so have to walk down a shared hall to pee in the night, the breakfast room is out of the main door and through into another part of the building. The price we paid though was probably accurate for what we got. The location is excellent right outside M2 station Loretto, making it great to get around. Literally next door to McDonald’s. The man who runs the place is very friendly and nice. I would stay here again as I’m not a high maintenance kind of girl.

I didn’t like not having my own bathroom, it made it feel more hostel like. The location is fab but with a central location comes lots of noise, there is definitely no sound proofing here and the street below is noisy. That’s not even taking into consideration the noise from the Inter Milan fans winning the league, as that was to be expected and nothing the hotel could have controlled.

Main pluses are location and price- so you get what you pay for :) A short walk from the Milano Centrale train station, great to just get some sleep and take a shower. The man in reception was very nice and helpful and let us leave our baggages for a few hours after our stay. The hotel is quite old but therefore it has it's own style and the price is really low compared to other hotels in Milan. There's also a bar and pizza place (Spontini) next to it.

The bathrooms could really use some work; they're old, but not in a "vintage" way, more of a "used up" way ;) If you're just looking for a place to sleep and shower close to the centre for cheap- then this is for you. The room had a balcony with a nice view on a courtyard, but in the night there was quite loud music coming from one of the bars downstairs.

Good location and price (we wanted something near the train station that was not too expensive). Basic but had everything we needed for one night at a good price including a full private bathroom. Staff very nice and allowed us to leave our luggage before check-in. They even carried the luggage up a floor and put it in our room so that it was there when we checked in. Appreciated having two single beds.

Spiral staircase is narrow and a bit difficult with luggage. Room faced the road and was a bit noisy at night. Beds could have been a little more comfy. Overall happy with our stay, though.

Amazing hotel, at a great location, with spacious and super-clean rooms, and attentive and friendly owners and staff making sure the guests are feeling comfortable and have everything that they need. Location couldn't be better, very central and easy to catch airport shuttle from Stazione Centrale and convenient to explore Milan. This hotel is a fantastic value for money, it was the best option among numerous Booking.com options, and I did not regret choosing it - on the contrary, it exceeded my expectations. On the bonus side, the architecture of the building is beautiful, the rooms have high ceilings, and nice ceiling decorations, and full length windows offering great views of the vibrant centre of Milan. I liked everything.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and nicely decorated. The balcony window was also a nice bonus. The location is great as you're only a 15 min walk from Milano Centrale train station, and right next to several restaurants, shops and metro station (Lima). The communal bathroom was nice it was a proper bathroom with a locking door and good shower. There is high-speed free WiFi available and they serve drinks and snacks at the bar, including a pot of English breakfast tea for 3 euro!

An elevator up from the ground floor would be nice, and the rooms could do with more plugs.

Hotel Del Sole might only be a 1-star hotel, but all staff members are very welcoming, helpful, and genuinely friendly; something very few boutique and luxury hotels can offer these days... The rooms are vintage but spacious, spotless and very comfortable. The location of Hotel Del Sole is amazing. The Corso Buenos Aires shopping street is just next door, and so is the very cozy Piazzale Bacone and the lovely Lima neighborhood. There are plenty of trattorias, osterias, pizzerias, wine and craft beer bars, and barista places around. Strongly recommended!

Warm and spacious bedroom, the staff was very nice, the beds were comfortable enough. We chose a bedroom with a shared bathroom to be cheaper and not only the bathroom was really close to the room, it was always clean, without signs of use, and empty (we felt really lucky). The location is very nice as well. Also the room has a sink so you can wash your face, brush your teeth and apply makeup for example!

The stairs might be a bit tricky if you bring large suitcases but we had only backpacks so it was perfectly fine

Convenience and safe location - 10 mins walk from central train station. 5 minutes walk from metro subway. Many shops close by. My triple room with private bathroom is spacious, basic, clean and spacious. The hotel is in a older building but all facilities are all in good functional order. Reasonable price/value ratio consider in Milan. Owner is very friendly and speaks good English. He even assist us with the issue on our next hotel booking. Many thanks to the owner.

No lift. You have to carry your luggage up. Not an problem for us.
