We had a fantastic room, with a terrace overlooking the Modica centre and just under the Duomo. The room is nicely decorated and comfortable. Breakfast was good - nothing to write home about, but adequate. The staff were very friendly. You have to be careful when accessing the hotel by car. Parking could be a problem. Do not go into the small street leading to the hotel if you drive a big car!

Washhand basin located in the bedroom - just over the bed's headboard. Not really the ideal place! When designing the layouts of the room, it could have been easily integrated into the shower closet segment of the room!

The breakfast was very good. The breakfast room had some great rainbow prisms that added additional beauty to the room (pictures below). The artwork was a pleasure to see. There are A LOT of steps going down to the main road, but the views of the town and church (from the top and bottom) were incredible. The staff were great, the room were very unique, and it was a great location.

The "road" that took you down to the front of the hotel is easy to miss, and not much signage. Be careful missing it - turn around BEFORE you get to the top of the "main" road.

View!!!! A beautyful hotel on the mountain with breathtaking view to the town from rooms with terrace and view to duomo and from the restaurant balcon. There is a roof terrace too!! Incredibe wonderful view!!! There is a very good location to walking all over Modica and driving to Ragusa. Breakfast good, there are salty breakfast too (warm not). Rooms are clean. You can park on the street gratis.

We stayed in a room called the "2001 a Space Odyssey". This is really a quite quirky room. Red lighted bathroom. Back-Lit 6 foot picture of a spaceman, alien, earth, etc., hanging over the bed. A Shower wall that could be pulled along a track. Glass type flooring. Obviously a room that had a gimmick! Breakfasts were attended by a very prompt, courteous waiter. Breakfasts included a nice array of food---eggs were hard boiled.

Disliked · Sometimes the front desk clerk was not at the desk so people would just throw their room keys on top of the desk and leave. I find this to be a security issue as each key had the room number on it and anyone coming in or walking by could casually pick up any room key and enter that room.

Great location with a breathtaking views up on the hills.Breakfast was beautiful I loved a many different pastry options. It was delicious.Stanning view from my room and from the breakfast room.Staff very helpful I can not thank you enough for they help organising a taxi for me.

Only the mattress was hard for me otherwise everything was great.

The hotel is very interesting - each room is based on a movie. We were in the Blade Runner room and it was super interesting. The location of the hotel is exceptional and the view is amazing. It is clean, the breakfast is good and the staff was helpful and friendly. They also spoke perfect english, which is rare here, so we appreciated it. Overall I am super happy with our stay.

The room was awesome, don't get me wrong, but the position of the sink and the mirror was uncomfortable for doing the obvious stuff - brush teeth, put on make up, shave, etc.

Like the view from our room...and the lady in the reception was very helpful.

Breakfast... nothing hot...such as boiled, scrambled eggs or omelette. The hotel has around 150 steps to Modica bassa and that is a lot to do twice daily, when you're going upstairs.

Location of the Hotel San Giorgio is superb and room was of adequate size for a family of four. Hotel manager (Mr Lorenzo Falco) speaks fluent English and always followed up, promptly, my queries online.

Spare and thicker blankets could have been left in the wardrobe as the room was slightly chilly. We always leave a window slightly ajar when we travel. However, given that we stayed one night at the hotel, I am sure that these would have been supplied if requested the next day.

The location is very good and the views are incredible. The staff were very helpful and offered parking close by. They had good recommendations for restaurants nearby.

The room didn’t feel like it was 4* standard.
