Our stay at "Il Giardino dei Mandarini" was great! The host Giulia takes care of everything with dedication and passion, she was very helpful in accommodating our needs and provided some great recommendations to enjoy our time in Modica. Our room was very spacious and had a great view on their beautiful garden and the valley. The entire property was spotless clean and we really appreciated having access to shared kitchen facilities (and even a piano to play!). The only thing to keep in mind is that the B&B is located in the upper part of Modica. This wasn't an issue at all for us as we had a car and Giulia was helping other guests with their transport arrangements too.

We had a balcony overlooking the lovely garden that the property owner cared for and obviously took much pride in. Breakfast was very special, prepared by Giorgio (Yes, the gardener) himself, and included a variety of Sicilian dishes pus the usual cafe and cornetto. A common kitchen area provided a large fridge and any utensils we needed to eat on the balcony when we wanted. In a 3-week trip thru Italy and Sicily this was the nicest stay. One more thing - when some police action prevented us driving to the property Giulia drove to where we were and led us back personally.

Lovely garden in which we had breakfast each morning. Julia and her father were excellent hosts. Room was impeccably clean and there was even a kitchen area in which you could prepare your own food.I always give very Frank reviews but there’s nothing I can criticise. Highly recommend a room with a view over the rear garden.

Nothing about the property . Only minor issue is that due to the location, parking nearby can be an issue. Suggest you take up the 5 euros a night offer in nearby garage

Everything was perfect. Giulia and her dad were the warmest hosts :) Communication was great. She was already waiting for us when we arrived and helped us to find a parking spot. Room was massive and had a big balcony overlooking the garden. Location was really good, despite the different heights in Modica, it was relatively easy to get to the main areas, only a few steps up and down! The highlight of our stay was possibly the breakfast, served in the garden with the mandarin trees. It was delicious, with savoury and sweet options and loads to choose from. We also got to meet Giulia's dad! I only wish my italian was more extensive than a few words, as I would have loved to chat with him a bit more.

B&B Il Giardino Dei Mandarini exceeded our expectations. The rooms are spacious and clean, the views of the city from the balcony are spectacular, and the hosts, Giulia and her father Joseph, are wonderful and helpful. The breakfast in the garden was a particular highlight!

Nothing in particular. It might be a bit tricky to get parking in the area, but Giulia was able to reserve a spot for us if we asked.

I absolutely loved our host, the garden was superb and a great place for breakfast. our common area was adequate for playing games as long as. it was early (other guest rooms in area). We walked to the market for snacks which was a workout but was funny! I would definitely stay there again

the bed was a little to hard for me and so was the pillow but everyone had their own preference.

Julia was very nice and gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants. The view from our balcony was lovely and we enjoyed having a cup of tea there in the evenings. The bed was firm but nice and the atmosphere was simple but inviting. Our breakfast was generous and we enjoyed eating in the garden. There is also a small Kitchen available to everyone, which was very useful. We highly recommend for couples who want to be in a quiet area but is walking distance from everything.

The water pressure in our shower would sometimes increase unexpectedly and because of that the shower head would spray outside of the shower, but other than that we had no problems. Everything was clean!

What a treat this stay was! The owners are very welcoming and helpful. You will be treated to a splendid breakfast filled with produce from their very own garden, which you can also enjoy access to throughout the day. The property is full of lovely antique pieces that gives that authentic Sicilian feel. I really enjoyed the small TC in the corner rather than the big monstrosities that usually take up the whole space! The rooms are airy and the washrooms adequate. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Modica :)

The bed is a little too firm for our taste (we like medium-firm for reference), of course this is personal opinion!

Family owned and run B&B. Host is daughter who is very personable and very helpful. Rooms are large and comfortable and overlook a beautiful Garden where a very good breakfast is served. Location is great. Directly above the Cathedral and (farther down) Corso Umberto I. An Easy drive to both, or, for the more ambitious and energetic, a straight shot down several hundred steps.

The property was beautiful with a stunning view of Modica valley. The double room was large with vintage furniture that was in great shape. Also to note is that the bathroom was nice and in good working order. The location seemed a bit remote until you found out that you were a 10 minute walk to Modica Alta that had all the charm of a small Italian community. Breakfast was exceptional with such a genuine and gracious host.

Although the parking was a bit of a challenge we made that work. The ONLY drawback was the mattress.
