The hotel's setting in an old palazzo was simply magnificent. The historical charm of the building was tastefully preserved, offering a unique and authentic atmosphere. It was a treat to stay in such a culturally rich environment that truly reflected the essence of Modica's heritage. The hotel's owner, who also served as the manager, made our stay exceptional as they personally took care of everything. It was evident that the hotel was run with love and dedication as a family business, which added a special touch to our stay. The personal attention and genuine care made us feel valued and appreciated as a guest. Apart from the outstanding service, the hotel itself was a delight. The room we stayed in was tastefully decorated, spacious, and impeccably clean.

An extraordinary, beautiful palazzo which is being maintained to a very high standard by the Failla family. Original ceilings are incredible. Original furnishings but modern bathrooms so it feels characterful and yet functional too. They parked our car which was a wonderful bonus after negotiating Sicilian roads and drivers!! Fabulous bar and breakfast. Exceptional hospitality. Cannot rate highly enough. And there's a lift!!!

Exceptionally friendly and helpful management and staff. Stayed in annex, with large, well-equipped room and bathroom, plus a storage/dressing room. Outside was a terrace and patio. Main building is a grand palazzo. The sights of Modica Alta are within comfortable walking distance. A modest breakfast was included.

Sadly, the hotel restaurant wasn’t open and there are few places to eat in Modica Alta. Be aware that it is quite a long climb up and down to Modica Bassa, where most sights and restaurants are located.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Paul and Lucca. The breakfast is amazing with good price-performance. We were upgraded to the blue room with a reasonable price.

We stayed in the room with the jacuzzi and it was great. Awesome room and stay! The owners were so nice, even the mother who we annoyed. The old man was fantastic too, he laughed with us even though I accidentally broke two glasses within minutes. Loved the place and highly recommended

A lovely palazzo. Old world charm but yet in a great location (just be prepared for lots of steep steps). If you are coming by car, parking is no problem as they have their own garage. The owners are very hands on and positively charming. Signor Failla is an absolute gem of a host. Rooms are sparkling clean and well appointed.

I thin k we would have preferred to stay in the hotel rather than the annex. Not the annex wasn't nice, it was, just that the hotel was very atmospheric.

The hotel was old and out of the way, but the views were beautiful. There were very few options around the hotel for dinner.

We went to the Michelin-awarded restaurant but found very little that we wanted. It was expensive, unusual and we did not enjoy it as much as we enjoyed other restaurants during our travels.

Staff was amazing - great breakfast and cafe. Hotel was historic but updated. Loved the decor.

Would have liked more restaurants in the vicinity but it is in the old area of Modica so understandable

Everyone from the owner Concheta and her entire staff were super. Friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. Great location. Great experience in an historic location. Fantastico!
