The B&B has a lovely view overlooking the old city of Modica. It is in a peaceful and somewhat remote part of the town, offering quiet evenings. Comfortable single room which is well-equipped for short stays. Overall a pleasant and comfortable stay for my work conference in Modica.

My only means of commuting was by foot. The accommodation was a little far out from the city centre for me to walk, and made arriving on time in the mornings difficult sometimes (since breakfast was only served from 08:00). If you have a vehicle this will be no problem at all.

The view is absolutely amazing. Even more so than the one most people visit a little downhill. Great to see Modica light up at night too. I walked up, which was quite tough in the heat. But if you're fit and not arriving with too much luggage it should be fine. Arriving by car would be best, of course. The room is a little old fashioned but otherwise very well maintained. Everything was perfectly clean too. The little fridge was nice to have and the air-conditioning worked well. I slept like a baby. Unless you need something modern or cannot make it all the way up I cannot imagine finding better value in Modica. Highly recommended!

The La Terrazza Dell'Itria is located at one of the highest points over the town of Modica with the result that there are stunning views overlooking all the town and particularly the cathedrals - they're amazing when you first walk into your room. The landlady provided a first class breakfast with a far greater choice of food than it's possible to eat. The contact point (her son?) spoke good English, was very responsive, and provided great directions when TomTom failed to identify the road. Parking immediately outside - a scarce commodity in Sicily old towns!

The location is perfect. Close enough to Modica but far enough to have a great view and easy parking. Very clean. Breakfast was great. The very kind woman who serves breakfast was kind and willing to help with suggestions.

The road below is a popular route for scooters and motorcycles so it can be a bit noisy at times, but usually quiets down by late night.

Genuine B&B run by this charming Italian “nona type” who was very kind. Room was basic but with Great view of town off the cliff and spotless clean with good linen, and nice hot shower. Great freshly prepared breakfast with an assorted variety of local products. Stayed just a night and it was a great value for money. The location is amazing if you are with a car. BB sits on top of a cliff overlooking the city with panoramic views - not recommended if you are not driving.

Nice mother and son who run it. Breakfast included homemade chocolate cake! What's not to like? Beautiful views. Comfy bed. Warm (March 2025)

Single room was poorly ventilated. Mosquito shades over the windows would be good. The road to property is a bit grim to walk up, so it's better to drive.

Awesome view, comfortable bed, spacious room, kitchen and very friendly owner. Everything was neatly cleaned, AC worked perfectly and parking is available right in front of the property. The BNB is somewhat older, however is well maintained, clean and lets be fair - you are here for the view and that you will get

The shower could have been a tad bit bigger

The room was very comfortable with a great ensuite shower plus a separate side room with a cooker and fridge which could be used as a mini-office/kitchen (which we didn't need for a 1 night stay but one could be comfortably based here for a week). The buffet breakfast (coffee served by the proprietress, who could not have been kinder throughout) was lavish and delicious. The location, high above Modica, gave a stunning view from the bedroom of the city. Plus free private parking right outside the building.

Maginificent view!!I could stay there forever! The communication with the host was great. The host lady was so kind and helpful and the breakfast was really really nice. Nice and clean room with free parking just outside the building.

Fine position commanding a memorable view of Modica; clean and comfortable room and a charming host (originally from Bologna) who supplies a very good breakfast.

No screen on the window and no anti-mosquito device in the room meant a certain measure of misery when attempting to sleep.
