Excellent location for visiting the city, and parking was available round the corner (although it cost an extra 20 euros a night). Very quirky with bikes and mopeds all over the place and glass floors and a glass lift. The breakfast was enormous with both sweet and savoury delights. And the service was on the whole very good.

Our room was clean and comfortable enough, although in common with many hotels there were no shelves or bedside tables to put things on. We did also have an occasional unpleasant smell from the drains in the bathroom.

What a find! This is such a quirky location originally a church then a mosque (with remnants of both still evident in exposed tiles and stone work) tucked away in the centre of Palermo. The staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Even if driving to the hotel through the narrow streets of Palermo has raised your blood pressure, worry not about car parking as Alexandro is adept at manoeuvring all guests’ vehicles in the hotel’s secure, hidden and very local lock up. Just a few seconds’ walk take you to their private and shady swimming pool. An inviting option on a sweltering summer’s day.

Nothing really! Be ready for HUGE breakfasts which we finished during the day for our lunch and snacks. A little difficult to hang wet towels as I assume the old building prevents hooks etc. on walls but the room’s cleaned each day and towels/sheets replaced so not a real problem

The property has many great features! - Location (walk just a few minutes to the central historical centre) - a wonderful hotel based within the walls of a 500 year old church. Lots of ambiance and really cool decor! - room was very well appointed, clean and comfortable. Also had a mini fridge which was very handy. - Breakfast: simply fabulous with a wide variety of items served. The fresh fruit tray is awesome! More than plentiful!! - Pool: a great treat after a long and hot day of touring! Finally and most importantly is the staff! I can’t say more about how wonderful all the staff is. From Alessandro (the owner), to Rosanna (front desk) and all staff. Wonderfully helpful and accommodating. As an example - I asked for an extension to my checkout time. They let me stay until 4?pm. No issues and no extra charge. These are the small things that are BIG things. Thank you for making my stay and first time in Sicily so wonderful!

The owner, Alessandro, was present on-site every day of our stay and was always walking around and checking in with guests. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and had really memorable touches. It feels homey while still indulgent, and is exceptional value for money. The decor is so complementary to the region, and is unique rather than the one-size-fits-all approach - there is clearly passion for creativity, and the character of the spaces really shines. The architecture of the 15th-century church is preserved, and we loved seeing the original features in our room and common areas. The pool is perfect for a dip and relaxing in, and is big enough for exercise. The breakfast provided was beyond our expectations! Fresh fruit, local pastries, and an assortment of cheeses and cured meats. The staff made us special coffees and were attentive to all of our needs. Extremely convenient location that is close walking proximity to the main strip while feeling a little off the beaten path.

First of all, set your mind to “Palermo mode” – then you’re ready. 1. **Location:** Perfect – right in the centro storico, just next to the Palazzo dei Normanni. There’s even a police station nearby. 2. **Style:** The hotel is set in a former church, and you can still see many of the original details, tastefully integrated into the design. The pool area is also creatively arranged and truly unique. 3. **Hospitality:** This is what really makes the place stand out. In our case, the first room felt a bit “claustrophobic”, and without hesitation we were offered alternative rooms at the same rate. Overall, highly recommended.

Our experience at this hotel in Palermo was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The hospitality we received went above and beyond anything we expected. The staff was incredibly attentive, answering every question we had with warmth and genuine care. They gave us great recommendations for places to visit, which made our trip even more special. What really stood out was the personal touch. We had an extremely early flight—around 5 AM—and to our surprise, they prepared breakfast and brought it to our room well before we had to leave. That level of thoughtfulness is rare and deeply appreciated. The whole atmosphere felt more like staying with family than just booking a hotel. It was cozy, loving, and very welcoming. We truly felt cared for throughout our stay. We will absolutely recommend this place to everyone we know, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Gem of a B&B. I arrived fairly late but was welcomed with cassata which was a treat! Decor is unusual but fun, and some of the original structure is visible, from the well in the dining room to tiles in the shower. I was upgraded from the economy room which was lovely. Breakfast was immense, I was a solo traveller but I think they gave me the same as if I were two. The pool is worth visiting, hidden across the road, I went for a morning swim and there were towels, showers, snacks, and loungers, all inside an old church. Staff was friendly and helpful and check-in came with tips for food and navigation. I went to one of the restaurants on the list, and was very happy with the choice. Another was a deli that was outside the tourist zones (like an Italian Wholefoods), and I happily stocked up on cheeses to take home. Location - Google sent me up the residential back roads/via the food market from the station which was possibly not the best with a case, but actually it's just off the main road for a slightly less direct route. It's right on the edge of the historic Palermo, so perfect for visiting the Palazzo and is right on the tip of the east arm of the main tourist crossroads. The closest station is Palazzo, but walking from Centrale is probably faster.

Never figured out how to turn the bathroom light off. Or the bedside lights on. But in the scheme of things very, very minor! The actual stay was perfect.

Secure parking, staff very helpful, in old town, medieval streets, assisted with parking very impressed! Breakfast continental, amazing, pastries and fruit, great Cappuccino! Location the best, close to Norman Palace, Cathedral, Quatra Conti, the four corners, offered upgrade room and late checkout, staff were very helpful!

All the staff are extremely friendly and very helpful, helping arrange taxis and days away from Palermo, whilst advising you how to get around the city. Breakfast is great with a variety of pastries and meats along with fruit and juices and lovely coffee. Room was lovely and very clean. Location is just off the beaten path but within a 5 minute walk of the cathedral through a lovely park, the markets are a short walk with the marina a little further. Lots of bars and restaurants on all routes to ease the journeys along.

The staff are amazing and incredibly welcoming and friendly. We were treated to a glass of wine and cake while we waited for our room. The hotel was originally a chapel and then a local bakery and was beautifully restored. Everywhere you look is a piece of history, from mosaic tiles to viewing old roman foundations through suspended perspex floors. Our room was artisenial rustic chic, but very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast spread was amongst the best I have ever had, many local specialities and great coffee. Our only problem was that we had to rush to catch a flight otherwise we would have savoured it for longer as a great start to the day. The hotel is located such that there is sharp contrast depending on which way you leave the hotel. If you turn right (and right again) you are touching distance to the manicured Plazza della Vittoria, from where you can easily walk down Vitttrio Emanuele, via the Cathedral, to the Quatro Cante and the lively centre of old Palermo. Turning left you can walk down Porto di Castro to the sensory overload of (and to the uninitiated, intimidating) Markets of Piazza Ballaro.

The hotel is a beacon of aesthetic on a street that has quite a dilapidated look. While it is the nature of the markets area, you can't help but feel that walking down towards the markets at night would not be a good idea. That being said, we experienced no problems whatsoever and really enjoyed our stay.
