Great property and service. Everyone in the hotel went out of their way to be helpful and provide excellent service. The property is beautiful inside with great atmosphere.

The toilet smelled like sewer. I understand the property is in the old city; so the sewer system is probably old. I, however, think the property could put some lavender, rosemary, or another plants to cover the smell. It is sad how bad it is given the high quality of the property otherwise.

The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of breads, sweets, cheeses, and meats. Eggs were offered and prepared on request each morning and also coffee. The rooms were lovely and as described on the website and the beds were quite comfortable. The indoor common areas were beautiful and comfortable and the outdoor garden seating was quite lovely. Aurora is a lovely host, very friendly and welcoming. Also her staff were extremely friendly and polite and a pleasure to communicate with.

The location felt quite safe, though there was some character in the area, such as a man who asked for a euro to "protect" our rental car. We did comply one time and did not experience any damage, though I doubt he was really protecting anything! There were certainly locals who paid a lot of attention to comings and goings. The suggested guide and chef-provided dinner were quite lovely, but a bit expensive. I'm glad I experienced those extras once but will not likely plan such events again. Our family enjoyed visiting the restaurants and exploring on our own a bit more.

Hostess Aurora and staff were wonderful. Very nice, well decorated and very comfortable place to stay w great location. Very clean; daily cleaning; excellent breakfast w fresh fruits, breads, cheeses, meats and hot-off-stove eggs cooked to order. Aurora was extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations and local tips. Top notch!

Interesting building, good size suite, lovely breakfast (with coffee to order), and comfortable beds. Stoff were very informative and helpful.

I booked a suite, and expected two twin size beds and a queen, as per the website. But when we checked in, we were given a suite with two queen beds, which meant two of us had to share a bed. We also did not enjoy the sewage smell, but this may be a Palermo issue, rather than the specific hotel issue.

The feel of the place was inviting. Hosts were very kind and supportive. The B&B felt secure and safe. We had The Garden Room which had direct access to large garden area, at least 10mts x 10mts with tables and chairs to relax on. Breakfast was nice with nice coffee the way you like it. Our host Danelia was extremely helpful with booking restaurants for us. They recommended a few and each one was SO good. I'd recommend you seriously consider Giardino di Ballaro if you plan to stay in Palermo.

Although the B&B was nice inside the surrounding street area was a little rougher than we would have liked. In saying that the whole of Palermo is grungy and in areas dirty. I would not let this put you off from booking, I'm just pointing out. My wife and I walked back from the main food/bar areas numerous times at night with no issues. You just had to be aware of your surroundings and stick to the well lit lanes, etc.

A wonderful oasis of calm after busy days out. Whether sitting outside in the garden, downstairs in the communal area or in our room it felt relaxing. A stylish interior with everything thought of. Friendly and helpful staff, particularly Aurora who on check in helped find both an adapter for an electric toothbrush and a screwdriver to fix a broken suitcase!

This was a very unique property, walking distance to,all of Palermo's attractions. It has historic stone walls, unique art and furniture. The breakfast was exceptional with eggs cooked to order, capuchino and delicious breads and pastries. Also, coffee and pastries were available during the day.

Parking was difficult to find but we managed to find a spot. Once parked do not attempt to move the car.

Everything at this property was beautifully managed- from the wonderful ceramics decorating the communal spaces to the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The location was ideal for the major sights and it was a great base. We were able to come back and use the cool, comfortable lounge area to recover from the heat before heading back out.

The quiet serenity of this former Horse stable envelopes you as soon as you step off the busy street. Everything is both elegant and home-y at the same time, the welcoming staff simultaneously knowledgeable, warm, yet also quietly unobtrusive. A very rare combo. We got the room with sloping ceilings and sky light but my favorite favourite bit about this place is the multiple gardens and terrace spaces - 3 separate large gardens for what is essentially a tiny boutique hotel. The big garden at the back has that all important quality of being slightly overgrown - with ripe grapefruit and fig trees. All in all, we absolutely loved our stay here.

Pretty place. Wonderful staff. Very nice rooms. Breakfast was great. Our TV was not working so it was replaced the next morning.

The area was dark and out of the way. We had to walk about 15 minutes through dark streets to get to the center. It was ok.
