The place is very nice and the location is perfect. Close to everything touristy, restaurants, shops, sight seeing, train station. Well lit up street so feel safe walking at night.

Check in wasn't good. Recieved an encrypted message with codes that we could not read. Standing at the door in the evening wondering how we would get in. Sent host a message with no reply. After a while decided to try and find somewhere else for the night when a couple staying in the building let us in the front door luckily! We told them we had the code to the room but not the front door as they were a little wary letting us in.

Superb location, in the heart of the old town of Palermo, great atmosphere. Owner is really really nice and communicative, happy to help and guide, let is stay in common area after checkout. There is daily cleaning.

Appliances outdated, refrigerator hardly works and dairy and food we stored got spoiled after one day and we had to throw it all. There’s an old kettle but no coffee. We had to ask for cups for the room.

The location is excellent - a short walk from the station and the bustling old districts of Palermo. Demetra rooms are extremely comfortable. Marble, tiled floors, high ceilings - you almost feel like you're spending time in a mini palazzo.

Communication over whatsapp was fine, but we didn't see another human soul during our stay.

The room was fantastic, spacious, with beautiful old furnishings and a mezzanine with 2 additional beds, private bathroom and yet very reasonably priced. In one of the older sections of the city, easy to walk everywhere we needed, close to public transport. The breakfast was sublime, in a nearby upscale hotel with an outdoor shaded courtyard. Andrea, the owner/manager, offered us thorough instructions for self-check in, and clued us in to a great and affordable taxi share from the airport. May want to know that this is a walk up building only, on the 2nd floor.

We initially had a tricky time finding the place after getting dropped off from the taxi share, I might suggest the corner of Maqueda and dell'Universita as an easier drop off location.

Our host did everything to make us feel at home by sending us made to measure instructions and ideas about where to park our car, where to grab a local dinner, etc. even before we actually got there. If you come by car, don’t bother, the local parking agent knows the owner and it’s litteraly just around the corner. The very spacious airconditioned room with acces to a large private balcony is part of an historical palazzo right in the cultural heart of Palermo. We slept like a baby litteraly just around the corner of the famous quattro canti. All cultural highlights of Palermo wer in walking distance of our palazzio-room.

The location of the property is great! It’s right in the middle of the old town; walking distance to all sightseeings. It’s also easily accessible from the airport. The rooms are in the second floor of a historic building. The room was very comfortable and had all the amenities one would need. The check-in was also very easy.

The room was spacious, clean and lovely with a balcony. Very comfortable. Quiet too! Bathroom was clean and modern. The location was excellent! Very safe and lovely. It is in the Historic District, a few steps from Quattro Canti and many important sites. Perfect! Many good restaurants near by also.

There was no one at the property the Entire 2-3 nights we stayed. No maps, no literature about the area. No emergency numbers. We didn’t receive the message how to get into the property ( codes and keys)because we were traveling many hours before arrival. No Wi-Fi available until we were in rooms. The near by TI staff helped us call the owner to get in to the rooms. Thank goodness!

Overall nice place but the check in was a bit like an Airbnb experience, felt quite unpersonnal. We received some restaurant recommendations by WhatsApp and that was it. It is also to note that our room, Cristina (4) has a window that faces a main street. On a Saturday it can be quite noisy to go to sleep at night!

The room was absolutely beautiful and very clean, the location was perfect and close to everything, the staff very friendly and helpful and we didn’t face any problems at all. I will sure go back to Demetra rooms, me and my friend loved it ❤️

This was my second stay at Demetra Rooms, and it was just as good as the first time. The host, Andrea, is friendly and helpful. The rooms large and well appointed. The location is great for sightseeing. Breakfast at a nearby 4-star hotel for 7 euros is one of the best deals around.

Pillows were a little hard, but that is not unusual in Italy.
