The host was exceptional, clear instructions to check in with our own code for the doors, no keys or cards needed, clean and totally awesome.. the apartment was simply gorgeous with everything we needed, the kitchen had everything to cook and prepare meals .. details of cute lighting, balcony was perfect for morning breakfasts, bathroom was spacious bed was comfortable. The host also was in contact regularly to check everything was fine and also gave tips for supermarket restaurants coffee shops .. and parking, not that we drive. The apartment was central to the city and everything we needed was on the door step, though a busy city, our apartment was on a quite street, just loved every second and will certainly come back.

The apartment was in the city centre, everything was close to us, for Example the train station. Our street was really safe, quiet and peaceful. There were no danger there. The room was perfect for us, the bed was comfy and big. The check in was online, but it was really easy to do it. Our contact, Valerio was nice and helpful, I always texted him via WhatsApp. Sometimes I became a "Karen", because I had to text to him, if there were something small problem, like only a few toilet paper left in the room and so on, but he did everything to enjoy our holiday.

Only small things, but these are not so huge problems: - there weren't a bread knife in the kitchen, only knives for butter. It was a bit hard to slice our bread every morning. - there were no shelf in the bathroom, so if you are a woman and have a tons of face creams and makeup, you can't put them anywhere, maybe on the lavatory, which was a bit uncomfortable. If you are a man, you will not have a problem with this - one Time the cleaning lady didn't make up our room (we left our cleaning card at the door), but the next day She did it

Excellent location! From the house, you can reach the famous local market or the shopping street. The house is exactly how it looks on the picture. There are lockers for you to keep the luggage for free. this is a huge plus The communication was easy and professional

Upon arrival we thought the area was a bit rough and quiet at night but actually it's not. The kitchen could be a little bit more well equipped but overall, it suits the purpose. There are no big window so it's a bit dark during the day but I guess thats what the houses in Palermo are like. less window to avoid the lights

Fantastic location, 15 mins walk to Palermo Centrale station and 5 mins walk away from Quattro Canti. Very secure and free luggage storage in lobby area if you are early to check in, or to leave if you have later departure. Kitchen area well equipped with a useful freezer compartment in the fridge. Good communication via WhatsApp for keyless entry to building and apartment.

For a short city break it was ideal, Television was in an unusual place as it was in the upstairs bedroom and not sitting area, meaning for a family it would be awkward to all watch together. One of the sofa beds was not great quality, a child would be fine but a larger adult would struggle to get a good night's rest on it.

We had a fantastic stay at Open Sicily Residence in Palermo. The apartment was modern, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is excellent – within walking distance to many of the city’s main attractions, cafes, and restaurants, yet quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. The staff were incredibly helpful and responsive, offering great recommendations and making check-in and check-out very smooth. It really felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Palermo!

I had a wonderful stay! The location was fantastic — right in the heart of everything yet peaceful and easy to get around from. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great base while exploring Italy!

The only minor issue was that the shower door was a bit broken, so some water leaked out. It didn’t really affect our experience, but worth noting.

Overall, I was very happy with the flat. It was simple but clean, modern and spacious and everything worked. The location, on Via dell'Universita, was great: I found many of the places I wanted to visit right on my doorstep. The code system to access the building and the flat worked well and made me feel very safe. The manager, Valerio's, friendly and efficient responses to my questions were also much appreciated.

It would have been useful to have operating instructions for the air-conditioning etc. I searched at length for a wall device before contacting Valerio and finding out that it was a remote control. Also directions to the nearest supermarket for those (like me) who arrive at night. There was a power cut one night when I was out in the street. The door code would not work while all the electricity was off. Fortunately the power cut was brief but a fall-back electrical supply for the outer and inner doors would be advisable.

I had a great stay at Open Sicily Residences! The apartment was clean, well-maintained, and in a fantastic location—perfect for exploring the city. Check-in was seamless with the convenient code key entry, and having lockers available in the lobby to store luggage was a big plus. Valerio, the host, was incredibly responsive and always available to chat if I had any questions. Highly recommend for a comfortable and hassle-free stay in Palermo!

The apartment is very comfortable with free space to easily move around. Very clean, very safe, and very quiet, literally in the heart of the historical center of Palermo. Special mention to the bed mattress and pillows. The most restful sleep we had on the entire trip. Valerio, the host is extremely helpful and speaks great English which is appreciated as it is hard to find it in Italy in general. Only two little things to add. A plate holder is needed on the counter and if possible some more water pressure would be nice in the shower. Besides these two little details, everything else Is great. Suggested.

We stayed in the Ferrau Apartment (4) at Residence ai Quattro Canti, which was both clean and very spacious. The bed was comfortable and a great size too. If you're there for more than just a few days, as we were, the apartment is great for some down time, as it has a decent kitchen/dining area and plenty of space all round. If you're looking to explore Palermo, the apartment is in an excellent location, while checking in, checking out and accessing the apartment/building in general is very easy using the code provided.

It was a little disappointing that the only TV was upstairs in the bedroom instead of in the front room, which is sizable and has a sofa. Unfortunately, we found that the TV didn't work properly anyway, which was a slight shame.
