Everything was great, it was a very comfortable and well-located apartment with very nice and friendly hosts. Also, it was a great opportunity to live in a house from the beginning of the 20th century and feel the real spirit of Ravenna and Italy. I highly recommend it!

I liked everything. It was just a pity that I do not speak Italian well. Otherwise, our communication with Paula and Lorenzo could have been more intense. But they speak a little English and French, so I did not have problems with communication.

Location is excellent, it is in a very quiet place and close to everything by walking. Tourist office is only few minutes away from Il Giardino Roccioso and there you can book a guided tour for the mosaics, buy bus tickets, get free maps, valuable information etc. If you want to spent a day on the Adriatic Sea take the bus 70 to Marina di Ravenna. Consider also to visit St. Apolinare di Classe which is 5km from Ravenna and take bus 4 to go there. Paola and Lorenzo are wonderful hosts, we had many great conversations! Paola is an artist and Lorenzo is a nuclear ingeneur. In order to enjoy fully Ravenna book 5 nights so you can visit Dante's museum, all the mosaics in different basilicas etc. Ravenna has many worthy monuments and the stay in Il Giardino Roccioso with the wonderful Paola and Lorenzo will make your trip very convenient and enjoyable!

I booked a double room with a slope roof. It was very big with a decent double bed, comfortable sofa ideal for browsing, reading or a nap, 2 tables, fridge and a toilet with a shower and bidet. Everything was sparkling clean and super well organized, there were a lot of souvenirs in the room which created a homely atmosphere. The host was very caring and provided me with an early check-in option, accompanied guests during breakfast and during my entire stay I felt like at home. Thank you very much for such a great kindness and your service!

Paola and Lorenzo were very friendly and provided a great breakfast each day. They gave me lots of advice about where to go and even picked me up and dropped me off at the train station!

Mosquitos came in the window and there wasn't really a way to keep the windows open to cool down without that happening, so I wish they had screens in the windows. Also they have a pet bird that would occasionally squawk and while it didn't wake me up, it did make it harder to fall asleep.

I feel so fortunate to have booked at this venue. I walked everywhere! Including from station! Everything was so accessible. nice breakfast, wonderful hosts in a home filled with artistic elements. Spacious room provided everything you could want. So warm and welcoming. I look forward to my next visit when weather allows me to eat on the balcony, overlooking the lovely garden. Buses meters away if you want, two bars, but a short walk to the centre.

Super friendly hosts and went out of their way to help me with figuring out bus tickets and making good use of my time in Ravenna. Room comes with good AC; Highly, highly recommend!

The bedroom does need some dusting, but it's overall a clean property and I felt comfortable and cozy here.

My hosts and their lovely house had a special style of their own. So nice to be cared for and talked to like a human being after a long and difficult trip around Europe. My room at the top was right under the roof timbers. It had a big comfortable double bed of the old style and lots of room to sit about. There are interesting plants and pictures all over the house. The location is superb, at the southern edge of the Old Town and within a short walk of the major attractions. A parking permit can be arranged, so I had my car parked just across the road for the two nights I was there. Access by car can look a little bit complicated on the map, but it is actually very straightforward if you let the satnav do it for you.

Paola and Lorenzo did everything possible to make me feel comfortable and at home. The room was lovely and very clean, with access to the small garden. Please note that the room is not accessible to people in wheelchairs. The house is within a ten minute walk from the train station and all the main sites.

Lorenzo and Paola were the friendliest hosts of our 3-week Italy trip. They sat down with us at breakfast to talk, even as it was tricky in Italian and English. Their home was filled with a lifetime of collectibles, arranged artistically. Our converted attic room had skylights and air conditioning for comfort.
