Location is good. Some walking distance from metro. 10 mins walk from St Peter's Basilica and Castel Sant'Angelo. Good restaurants, bars and cafeterias in the area. Short walking distance from designer shops. Hotel has classic feel although it needs renovation. Excellent breakfast with vast choices of savouries, pastries and sweets. Comfy beds and quite silent on first floor. Staff were very helpful and polite. We even had our taxi back to airport booked from the hotel reception and available in few minutes.

We arrived before check-in time and were promised that our luggage were going to be safely locked up in the storage room. When we were back late evening, our luggage were still in the reception area. No kettle in the room.

location is perfect located 5 mins from St peter basilica. breakfast was wonderful and hotel was very clean too. During our early checkout at 5 am, the receptionist forgot to ask for the room keys, and I forgot to hand it to him too! the keys stayed with us since we were travelling outside of Italy but I will keep them with me and hopefully will be back in a year or two to hand them back :) apologies for forgetting to hand the keys!

Our only concern was that the pictures included a rooftop bar and restaurant but this was at their other branch (located about 7 minutes walk)

Fantastic location as in walking distance to most sites. Very clean and tidy rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good and fast wi-fi signal. The roof garden restaurant / bar at the Atlante Star Hotel was fabulous. The above review is for the Atlante Star Hotel. Read below....

Well... Booked at Atlante Garden Hotel but on arrival for check in we were moved to the Atlante Star Hotel (!!!!) a couple of blocks down. That was weird to say the least. We were then put in a room that was small, dark and dated in decor like it came out of the 30s. We complained to the concierge and next day we were given a choice to pick out of three different rooms. That was a very nice gesture as the available rooms were much, much better. It was strange though that we were moved from one hotel to the other without having been told beforehand. By the way the elevator in Atlantic Star Hotel is a thing to test your patience...

The hotel is very well located. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The breakfast is excellent, and the café team’s charisma is wonderful. The bed is also very comfortable.

I found the bathroom and the rooms to be a bit old. They could use a renovation, especially the bathroom. The shower was very bad and outdated. The door that opened to the outside was broken.

Good access to public transportation. Walking distance to Vatican. Staff were lovely—very friendly and helpful. Comfortable room. Good shopping and restaurants nearby. Quiet room.

Parking was very expensive—the highest anywhere at $50/night. The pet rate at $35/night was price gouging. The place we stayed in Trieste was even nicer and its pet rate was $35 total. Breakfast was unimaginative and not especially high quality.

Location is great, very close to the Vatican and other Rome tourist spots. The room size is also great, there's a lot of room for luggage. The bathroom was large and has a jacuzzi. I wish there was a microwave in the room as we stayed there fo a week. Breakfast buffet was great and kept very clean at all times. The bed was great! Just the right size for a couple. We had to move from the first room since the hallway lights were inoperable and the bathroom shower head wasn't working but the second room was perfect.

Flooring should be updated, carpet was very very old. They should paint the walls in white so it looks brighter. The wall and carpet are so outdated. The couch in the waiting area should be changed as well, you can't sit on it because you will sink in.

Location Breakfast was great with scrambled eggs as well as fruits and cold meats and cheeses- best breakfast in Rome so far Traditional decor but kept well- rooms reset and cleaned everyday and great toiletries- cosy garden terrace so can enjoy in the afternoon even in winter

Stairs in the way down to the property- no one to help you and with heavy luggage it is very tough- I pulled a muscle taking my case down and was out of action in agony for my first day as a result! As a 4 star hotel could expect to have someone help with luggage! Bar and roof terrace were closed due to winter but wasn’t mentioned until after check in - although terrace was offer at their sister hotel - Rude attitude of staff experienced there - but ok for the view! Recc adding that the roof terrace and bar service is closed during winter in the copy on here to manage expectation - I heard a lot of guests not so happy about this the same!

One of the best daily cleanings of the room I have seen for a long time; Good location - super close to Vatican, relatively close to the metro station, plus - many good restaurants around and very calm part of the city; Big surprise - massaging bathtub right in the standard room!

An elevator is quit tight. It is fine for most of the cases, but in case if you have a wheelchair or a baby stroller it might be a bit tough

Great location, not only because of visiting Vatican and rest of Rome but also considering plenty of nearby restaurants, bars, local bakeries etc. The facilities are just fine, not the newest or modern ones but fully functional and very comfortable. The whole staff was very polite and helpful!

With some moderate investment, this hotel building and the interior can be radically improved, as we had the impression there were things that could've been fixed even "on your own", so might be worth considering by the owners to add more attention to all small details inside the facility.

Everything - the location is great, the hotel is situated near the metro and bus station, directly connected to the central part of the town. 30 minutes by foot. The surroundings are very nice, the Vatican area 😍 staff was very professional, rooms are clean and comfortable. We will definitely go back!

It would be good to include sometimes pancakes for breakfast, but ok really this is great value for the price.
