Location is perfect, no noise and 5mins walk from Colosseum. Easy access and check-in & check-out. Great staff. Comfortable bed and powerful AC deflected out from the bed so no flow to your face. Good shower and plenty of space however toilettries basic. Amazing breakfast, local fresh cheese, salami, tomatoes and bread and of course coffee & pastry. Have same Coffee maker DeLonghi MagnificaS at home so coffee is like at home. Plenty of snacks and drinks to grab & free. Water is free and not just any. The water dispenser is amazing. It makes cold sparkling water so good that I immediately ordered one device home from amazon. Kitchen in the common area is equipped with everything you need if you want to cook anything by yourself. The perfect B&B for couples or solos and the price is good too. There are many B&B’s in this price range but none of them beat this one.
Nothing much but toilettries (shower gel/shampoo) could be better.

Everyone was very pleasant and went out of their way to make us welcomed and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The kitchen facilities were very good with a bean to cup coffee maker, a water dispenser with reusable bottles, a selection of cake and crisps throughout the day and breakfast from 6am. The fridge had free soft and beer drinks and there were plates etc if you wanted to bring your own food back. There were recycling bins for everything as well and tables outside in a small courtyard that was hidden from the street by plants so felt sucluded. All rooms were cleaned everyday and the rooms were very spacious at a fraction of the cost of an hotel. The location was super as it was next to the park entrance and a 5 min walk from the colosseum. Plenty of restaurants within a 10 min walk. Plus a short walk to the metro. I would highly recommend this B&B.
Very small points. A few more coat hangers would be good but as we were only there for 3 nights this wasn't an issue and I'm sure Andrea would give us more if asked. Our room was off the kitchen which can get a little noisy in the mornings when putting out breakfast and people having conversations. But not so noisy that I would be put me off staying again.

Staff was incredible. They were kind and helpful with food recommendations and travel advice to our activities. AND they surprised us--our rooms were unexpectedly ready early! There were homemade treats, fruit and coffee available 24 hours a day in the common kitchen area. They also were able to hold our luggage after checkout for a couple hours. Rooms were perfect and cool, and the hotel was well situated by the park. Walk from Termini was hot but doable. There are tons of restaurants and nearby amenities. You can see the Colosseum right outside the hotel's gate!! It's perfect. Thank you, Raquel and staff! We could not have been happier with our stay.
Nothing.

We had a perfect stay. It was a very nice neighborhood, and quiet. We didn't hear any noise from the streets. U can really rest in the night after a lot of walking during the day. Everything was also very clean. Nicely designed with an Italian flavour. In the breakfast room u could have coffee all day long. And eat snacks and fruit for free. I think it was a very hospitable place. They had for you drinking bottles to take with you and also umbrellas. The girls who worked there, both Aleksandra and Raquel were very friendly and helpful. If we go back to Rome, we would choose this place .

My experience in Rome was truly incredible. And my stay at B&B Domus Aurea was one of the factors that contributed to that. Andrea and Raquel are incredible hosts. The rooms are very well-equipped. There is a communal area that is amazing. There is unlimited water, juice, and beer at any time of the day. The breakfast is also fantastic. For me, the location is one of the biggest differences. You are just a few meters from the Colosseum, and the train station is also close by. In short, I felt like I was in my own home!
The bathroom light had a bad connection, but this was not a problem during the stay, and I believe the problem has already been fixed.

Fantastic location right next to the Colosseum. The house is beautiful with a beautiful garden where you can enjoy breakfast. The host is wonderful. Easy communication once we arrived in Rome. Our room was perfect, big and sunny, spotlessly clean with a lovely bathroom. Snacks and drinks are stocked in the fridge and a lovely breakfast was laid out in the morning (Andrea even put tablecloths on the garden tables). We only stayed one night after finishing a cruise and were so sorry we didn't give ourselves more time in Rome. We will definitely be back.
Nothing!

We loved this little hotel. It is super clean, the people who run it are friendly and responsive, it's secure, and it's close to the center located on a small hill next to a large park. Breakfast is good and they stock the kitchen area with juice, beer, tea, coffee. They even make these wonderful cakes for the guests to snack on. Although it's a few minutes walk up from the Colosseum, it was away from the noise and business of the site because of its special location. We also really liked that we could easily avoid the touristic restaurants and walk five minutes in a different direction (away from the historic sites) for dinner in more local feeling restuarants/pizzerias. Our room was beautiful with high ceilings, stone floor, super clean bathroom and fluffy towels, good lighting and heating (January). We recommend it highly and hope to stay here again.

I seldom write the comments, but this time I decided to find the time to do it. We came back yesterday and enjoyed every day of our stay at this wonderful place. The whole team - Andrea, Raquel and Luisa - are so warm and welcoming people, they did their best to make our stay very comfortable. We felt like being at home. Thank you so much for it! Accomodation: Room is big enough for 2 persons. Modern bathroom with the shower. Fresh towels and cleaning every day, if you want to. We enjoyed to have a breakfast in a lovely backyard. Breakfast was basic, but we had everything we needed. You have access to tea, coffee, water and some fresh fruits anytime. A very nice touch was to have freshly baked pastries every day. Location: Colloseum is right at your door, very impressive. We enjoyed this view. Next to Colloseum is the metro station which was very convenient. The location is not in the middle of old city centre though where you have most of the tourist attractions. It is still in the walking distance, but you need to count with 30-40 minutes walk one direction each time. For us it was fine, we don't mind exploring the city, but not everybody likes it. You can always take the taxi, it is not expensive there and with the It Taxi App or Uber it worked good. There are a few nice restaurants around which are not touristic and not expensive, but the food was good. We liked Trattoria Morgana. The team: What can I say, these people make your stay so special. Very friendly, welcome and so attentive to all your requests. Whatever you need, they will try to help you - which places to visit and how to get there, where to go for a dinner, how to reserve a table, organise transfer from the airport etc.etc. We highly recommend this lovely place.

It’s very conveniently placed near Colosseum in the park area. The room was specious with everything needed. Private bathroom was clean as well. The kitchen surprised me with the quality food and drinks offerings including a good breakfast, home made tasty cakes and lots of extras. On the top Andrea and his family (as a team I assume) treated us as a family members. It was very good and rare experience you can find these days.

This property is a hidden gem just a few steps from a quaint park where you can go sit and take it all in, including a view of the colosseum that’s just a stones throw away. The patio was great to sit outside and enjoy the breakfast provided or just read a book. The owners were super and did everything to make sure we were comfortable and felt welcomed. I also enjoyed the cappuccino offered. The place was super clean and comfortable as well. The location was perfect since we could eat more authentic cuisine nearby, walk to the colosseum, and also walk to the train station with ease. I would definitely come back!
Nothing- we thought the property, location, and service were superb.
