This hotel has an unbeatable location, tucked away in a small street only a few steps from the famous Piazza Navona many shops and cosy restaurants in the surrounding area. The room was lovely, with a large comfortable bed and a beautiful hardwood floor. Although in the centre of the city, the hotel was a haven of peace and all we could hear on the terrace were the screeches of the birds at sunset. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the service was impeccable. The lady playing the harp was a serene accompaniment to breakfast every morning. Breakfast itself consisted of high-quality organic vegetarian dishes, with eggs and pancakes freshly prepared to order. Our stay here was truly memorable.

From the moment I arrived, this hotel set itself apart—not just through its exceptional design and amenities, but especially through its incredible staff. Mariana, Martina, Mary, and Paloma were the heart of the experience: thoughtful, kind, attentive, and impressively competent. They anticipated needs before they were expressed, offered warm and genuine hospitality, and made everything feel seamless and easy. This is luxury in its purest form. The room was an impeccable blend of comfort and sophistication. Details matter here, and they are everywhere: a Dyson hairdryer, a Bang & Olufsen TV with flawless sound, a sleek steamer for freshening clothes, and a fully stocked Nespresso area with more coffee capsules than I could ever need. The bed was not only cloud-like but fully adjustable to your personal comfort—something I didn’t know I needed until I had it. Thoughtful welcome gifts and subtle touches throughout the room reminded me constantly that I was in a place that values elevated standards. The location? As good as it gets—central, yet somehow peaceful and quiet. A rare and perfect combination. The rooftop is stunning, a calm oasis with gorgeous views, perfect for unwinding at any time of day. The entire property is immaculate and exudes calm sophistication. This hotel isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to feel completely cared for. I would return in a heartbeat.

WiFi often didn’t work well

The hotel was simply perfect, in an excellent location with a truly outstanding hospitality experience. We were welcomed with amazing treats upon arrival, and the breakfast was rich, delicious, and full of variety. The central location was ideal, and the staff went above and beyond—especially Marina, who accompanied us throughout our stay, made sure everything was perfect, and took care of us in the most thoughtful way. As if that wasn’t enough, at the end of our stay we were even given a bag of treats for the journey. Honestly, this was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The room itself was luxurious, with two taps in the shower and in the sink—simply amazing. Highly recommended, and we will definitely return soon!

Just the location & staffs

Bed type is horrible as they have pasted two single beds and name it king bed which is very uncomfortable 😣 Rooms are so noisy

Food is excellent at this property, particularly for vegetarians and vegans. My partner has coeliac disease (gluten allergy) and the hotel was very understanding and able to provide suitable meals for her. The location is excellent in the historic centre, which is very central and enables you to walk everywhere. We paid for a small suite and the room was beautiful with a massive bathroom, shower for two (!) etc. The breakfast was excellent, they even had a harpist playing every morning.

Not much. The lift up and down the property is small. You cannot take the elevator to the 6th floor restaurant; you can go as far as the 5th floor and you have to walk the final floor so not good for anyone with a disability.

The Bio Raphael is a jewel of a boutique hotel, our room was designed by a well known architect, very aesthetic and comfortable. The staff was very kind and helpful, and when we returned a few days later we received an upgrade. We were greeted at breakfast by harp music. The breakfast is vegetarian as is the rooftop hotel restaurant which with its panoramic view is popular and reservation should be made. We liked the risotto. The location of the hotel is very central in a small street parallel to Piazza Navona. A bit noisy at night if one leaves the windows open; but when closed, hardly felt.

We were impressed by many details in Bio Hotel Raphael and during our stay at the Hotel we concluded that this is a very special Hotel. From the location, near Piazza Navona, to the external green ivy covering the facade of the entire hotel, to the interior with beautiful antiques and works of art. The room is cozy, comfortable and nice, beautifully designed with countless small details that amaze. The staff is first-class, kind, ready to help and very caring for the guests. The breakfast is delicious, varied and meets the highest gastronomic tastes, as it is perfection in Michelin star vegetarian restaurant on the top of Hotel.

Everything was perffect.

This hotel is as amazing as I remembered it after visiting almost 20 years ago. Perfectly situated near the Piazza Novana, this hotel is luxurious while being centrally located. We felt tucked away from noise and crowd while being able to see everything on one of the best roof-top restaurants. The room was large, fitted with modern appliances and super comfortable beds and bedding. Amenities were luxurious, with Bulgari shampoos and lotions. The staff were so helpful and recommended a perfect restaurant for authentic Italian food and pizza. We wished we could have stayed much longer!

Excellent stay! We checked in VERY early and staff still made it work for us, we were offered an upgrade upon check in. Breakfast was wonderful, drinks on roof top great, staff friendly. We stayed in the Sophia Suite and it was massive. The location was perfect with everything walkable, close to bus lines or easy taxi access. The staff also gave us some wonderful dinner and coffee suggestions that weren't touristy. This hotel is absolutely worth the slight jump in price, will definitely stay again!

The hotel is beautifully presented with good entrance, interesting art and good dining room. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the presence of the Harpist. Reception staff were very good, particularly Angelica. Some dining room and rooftop bar staff were very good, one or two of the others would benefit from more thorough training.

Staff training was not always evident in responses to requests.
