This was our 1st trip to Rome. The hotel was located in a central area with easy access to public transportation which we always use on our trips. The room was basic, think Motel 6 with a Venetian Vibe. But…..the rooftop area was amazing! If you are brave find the spiral staircase and admire the 360 degree view of Rome. The breakfast was perfect for us. Coffee, juices, meats, cheeses, pastry, cereal and yogurt. Plus the breakfast area is a treat itself. Do I usually like accommodations that are more upscale…sure…but we only slept here as Rome has so much to see. Would definitely stay here again.

The shower is small…like tiny and hard to navigate.

The hotel is very well located in the center of Rome. The main sights can be reached on foot in a few minutes. Many restaurants, bars, shops in the vicinity. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel. The design of the hotel is older, but sufficient for a peaceful stay. The room was fine - we had it with a view into the interior of the block. The minibar in the room is for an extra charge. The staff is very nice, helpful. Reception 24/7. The hotel breakfast is sufficient, you can choose. (if you are not very demanding). The hotel has a wonderful terrace on the 6th floor, don't miss it. (especially in the evening, you will see a wonderful view of the whole of Rome).

The accommodation price does not include the tourist tax. You will pay it when you leave. Our room was oriented to the inner block, so you could feel the kitchen of the nearby restaurant.

Proximity to Piazza Navona and other landmark areas. All places that I frequented as a kid. Getting us in contact with the pizzeria that gave us a complementary prosecco and limoncello. We ate at this restaurant 3 nights.

Getting us transportation to the Fiumicino airport. We had a reservation for a taxi but because of 2 marathons no taxis were available and the young man at the desk tried to help us but he really did not try hard enough. We crossed the Tiber river and asked for help from 2 policemen. Just per chance a taxi came by and took us to the airport. Next time we will spend a day at Fiumicino so we don't have a bad experience to catch a flight to get back to the USA. Hotel needs fans in bathrooms as the hot steam gets all over the surfaces and the floors can be slippery.

Sometimes when you pay a bit more, you get a lot more. Hotel Genio definitely falls into this category and I've already recommended a friend to stay here as well during his upcoming stay in Rome. The staff is friendly and fast, the roofterrace is amazing (and its great to have breakfast there, take a picture during sunrise, or chill after a full day of Rome). The breakfast was fantastic and great fuel for an active day. The room I had was absolutely amazing, slept really well, great shower, everything just worked and it made staying in Rome that much better.

If I need to add one point of feedback: some vegan milk would've improved the breakfast a bit. :)

Great location excellent staff very helpful spoke English helped getting to train station.

Well it is off a very busy street. Which creates a lot of Sirens street noise. And we had no ac I'm unsure if the whole building didn't we just adapted and lived with it it cooled off at night. We were overbooked at our first hotel so we had to pick something last minute and the Ryder cup was in town so rates went through the roof.

That the location is very central, the breakfast was nice, and the reception staf were very kind, friendly and helpful all the time we asked for something

Decor at the hotel inside room were a bit old, like wall paper did not match, batroom had water leak and shower was very uncomfortable

First of all, lovely staff, always smiling and efficient. It is always pleasant to enter the hotel at any hour. The location is excellent, a minute from Piazza Navona. And in general close to everything within walking distance. And in any case, the hotel is full of bus routes. Great restaurants nearby and a great cafe. Jazz Cafe

The breakfast is nice, but it would be great if there were more vegetables and fruits

I have stayed here often due to its location but an in- house bar / lounge would improve the facilities greatly.

The size of the room was very good. I liked the extra pillows provided in the wardrobe. I loved the shutters so the noise and light were completely blocked out.

The breakfast was very very poor quality. Instant coffee, poor variety of fruit, very slow toaster, fake orange juice. I wouldn't recommend anyone to book the breakfast.

Very spacious room. Staff were friendly. Breakfast included was a bit simple with basic cold cuts and cake each day.

Shower pressure was a bit low and the bed was a bit hard but nothing too bad.
