One of my favourite hostels i have stayed in. Very large, spacious room. Lots of space for 4 girls plus full length mirror and desk in the room. Good AC. LOVE that we had 2 bathrooms so you don't have to wait for someone to be finished in the shower if you need the toilet. Extra pillow provided when asked for one. Personal lights in beds plus USB socket and European socket. Lovely, friendly staff. Late checkout and early check-in for just 3 euros if you need it. Really good location, 2 minute walk from metro station but also walkable to major tourist sites. Also 5 minute walk from Termini.

No kitchen area to cook meals in (but a fridge, kettle, and microwave provided in small communal area). Very pricey. A little bit noisy sometimes because of the location (but you end up tuning this out).

- The rooms are kept very clean and tidy, beds aren’t squeaky. - Staffs are extremely friendly & helpful. - Public areas are spacious and nice to chill in.

- The door doesn’t unlock right away after you insert the key card, have to insert it 2-3 times until it does (happened to all roommates). - The shower’s drain was clogged and there were many small flies in both the toilet and shower rooms. - The hostel is in an area filled with many immigrants and most times many men gather outside buildings in day and night time (don’t know for what reason), so it can be a bit scary for solo female travellers.

Right behind Metro, had enough convenient stores near by. Bit pricey but was worth it. Clean and shower was training well. Nice small park behind hostel, highly rated restaurant and Gelato store within 10 minutes walking or even less. Stayed in Female on room and felt safe. Sometimes the main door and room door wouldn’t unlock but there was always someone around to let you in…. Can walk anywhere from here, it’s only 35-40 minutes from Colosseum. They have a bar downstairs and a rooftop terrace bar with great views.

If you have a corner bottom bunk it does get very hot quickly especially over night or when the weather is warmer. The air conditioning didn’t work in our room so we had to leave the windows open all the time which was annoying because of noise at night. Need to ask for fresh linen as they won’t change if you’re staying for 5 nights…

I stayed in a very comfortable 8 bed mixed dorm. There were two bathrooms with great showers, the room was ample and clean, and the beds were comfortable. The hostel is close to several restaurants and at walking distance from Roma Termini station. There's a nice rooftop bar with food and drinks for tired travellers. The absolute best part was the staff. Lorenzo at the reception went above and beyond to help and support my inquiries about city tours, using the Metro, walking around, and all the questions I had about how to enjoy the city better. He also made great latte macchiatos! I strongly recommend Generator Rome to all travelers.

I liked everything.

Ability to pay 3 Euro to early check in by 2 hours or late check in by 2 hours.

There is microwave but you need your own microwavable bowl and utensils (although you can buy plastic utensils for 20 cents) I typically expect hostel kitchen to be more friendly towards preparing our food and eating food in the kitchen. But there are no utensils provided, I had to get my own microwavable bowls. The fridge is also placed in a tiny cupboard, there was once when one fridge got unplugged I suspect is because it was so squeezy that one of the plugs came off. The tap at the common area is also not user friendly. The room is also not well ventilated (room 606), so make sure to open up the windows.

I am in awe of the well-prepared beds, regularly maintained toilets and lavatories, and polite and friendly staff. I didn't expect that the room adjoins 2 en-suite rooms, which was welcomed as I can have access to any of the 2 toilets/bathrooms when needed. The location is near the Roma Termini, which is accessible to all public transport options when visiting Rome. There are spacious places to store your luggage and stuff. The hostel is also located in Rome's most multi-cultural neighbourhoods. You can have access to different restaurants and cuisines offering variety and affordability. I did not access the shared kitchen, which I assume they have (but was not reiterated to me when I checked in), so I am unable to comment on this. They also have a lounge and a rooftop facility, which I did not use. Make sure you ask the reception what facilities are made available for you or events available during the period you are staying.

Nothing.

Very close to the main train station. Room was a good size (female only 4 bed dorm). I stayed at the end of June and it was only me and another girl in the room that night, so nice and quiet. I had a comfortable sleep as there was no one above me. Shower and toilet were in separate rooms which I liked. Shower pressure good. Felt safe in the room. Staff were friendly and had a good vibe downstairs.

The area around the station is sketchy. As a lone female traveller I didn’t feel safe walking to the hostel, even during the day. Advice I would give to anyone in a similar situation is to keep your head up, look confident, don’t make eye contact with people and walk with confidence. Also, keep your bag secure (cross body bag I found to be the best) and don’t have your phone out if you can.

I didn't have breakfast as there was many places around honest but I did have dinner in the cafe/bar almost every other night. The food was really good and for a great price. Everyone at the front desk was so pleasant and helpful. They made my 1st time staying at a hostel enjoyable. The 7 min walk from the train station was a huge bonus. I didn't take the train but the bus service from and to the airport and it saved me alot of money! I felt extremely safe staying there because you have to have your key to access the building at all times. They make sure that safety is a top priority. Also don't be discouraged by the amount of graffiti it is just art and everyone pretty much mind their own business as you are walking the streets. The beds were extremely comfortable especially from walking all day. The lockers under the bunkbeds were a great size for a carryon and they had bigger lockers on the main floor free of charge.

The rooms need some more updating to really reflect the style of the social areas for it all to flow better. Having AC in each room would definitely help especially when it's very hot.

This place is a great typical European hostel with some artsy vibe, a rooftop, students and bars. I like this type of stay, you can get to know some people, have a drink and hang out. The price was great as well as the distance from the city center — 20 minutes walk to Colosseum etc. The staff was super-friendly and overall I did enjoy my stay. The neighbors I had were very polite, the room was clean and it felt safe. None of us even put a locker on our stuff. I slept very well too. However, the district itself is a real ghetto 😃 be prepared for that. I don’t suggest to go out after 8pm, there are many shady homeless people doing dr*gs. Especially in the park next to the hostel. Just be careful. They catcalled me and also some are looking like zombies. It’s not the problem of the hostel — I don’t have any complaints — it’s the problem of Rome. Just don’t go out after the sunset, mark my words. Except of that — great value 👍

The staff were so approachable and helpful. Kirby and Racel were happy to help anytime. Francis also assisted me in moving my luggages and even lent me a cart so that I can easily move around. They are good assets of the hostel. The service in general was awesome. The room was well-maintained by friendly Filipino staff. And the location was close to restaurants and shops.

The lock of the other shower room in Room 610 should be repaired so that guests do not have to wait for each other as only one shower room can be locked.
