Unique and friendly hotel where all of the staff are really helpful. Very clean, good a/c and the fastest WiFi I’ve ever had in a hotel. Great to have a kettle in the room with tea & coffee plus a fridge with milk. Fab roof terrace to relax in the evening as then sets. You can order drinks via the hotels concierge app to be brought up to the terrace. Nice and secure as the front entrance is locked with reception buzzing you in or you can use the entry fob on your room key. We had a triple room which had a great layout as the single bed my daughter used was in its own alcove so she kind of had her own space. 10 mins walk from Termini station so handy for trains/subway/bus to/from anywhere in the city. Buffet breakfast fantastic!
The lift is like a cupboard - it’s very small. I used it when we arrived but not again preferring to walk up the 4 flights of stairs to our room. But that’s me and not liking being in small enclosed spaces. Other people may not mind this. Traffic could be a bit noisy, lots of sirens from police etc but didn’t really stop us sleeping.

What a fabulous stay! We booked this hotel last minute due to a change in our travel plans. By the time we landed, l had a message from the hotel confirming our room type (traveling with 2 adults and 2 kids). It was not quite what I anticipated, and Alessandro went absolutely above and beyond to help. When we arrived at the location a couple hours later (and still early for check in), he told us that he had a couple of options and that he would show us as soon as they were cleaned and serviced. When we returned, he showed us both the family room and the triple with a balcony and roll away bed (his recommendation), and the room was perfect. When we said we would like that room and needed to retrieve our luggage from storage he said that he had already moved it to the room’s closet. Each and every staff member was kind and helpful, but Alessandro truly was a gem. As for the rooms, they were small, as are most in Europe, but completely adequate. The decorations around the hotel truly reflect the art all over the city. Location-wise, it was perfect. Close to Roma termini for our quick in and out to the airport. Definitely walking distance to many attractions and restaurants (including Colosseum and Trevi Fountain), and has tourist bus stops a block away that we used for the farther stops such as the Vatican City.
The bathrooms were not exceedingly small, but if there was one thing that was just ok, it was the shower size, which was akin to a cruise cabin shower. It worked, but was small.

The decor and artwork in the hotel gave a very authentic Italian vibe which was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful with making suggestions of best rated places to visit and eat nearby. The overall cleanliness of the room and facilities was great. The bed was comfortable
The overall property is not huge and spacious, so it can feel a little narrow and tight. The shower in my bedroom was quite small considering I am about 6ft in height and I felt it was very compact for me to really move around and same goes for the toilet. But the cleanliness was so high that it made me forget the negatives.

Perfect location from the train station & Metro. The paintings on the bedroom ceilings are amazing, And probably has the smallest lift in the world which makes it quit snug with two people in it.
We had to cheque out around 5am nobody was about hung around for 5 minuets or more. We had a coach to catch back to the airport so your on minuets. Only problem was we needed to pay for some drinks we had the night before and it was late at that time. So paying for them in the morning was not going to be a problem. Could not hang about the next morning so we put the key on the desk and left. They did Email us for payment which is fine. I would not hold it against them for this, I'm one of those people who has to have everything in place and settled if i owe somebody i like to pay up.

Everything. We had a room with a balcony with wonderful view over the piazza. The rooms were immaculately clean and tastefully decorated with beautiful hand painted murals everywhere. The staff were billiant, very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was good. It was a buffet with lots of options, inlcuding cooked, pastries, breads, fruit. The location was brilliant for us, with lots of transport and food options very close by.
Nothing, loved the place.

This was my second stay at this charming hotel. The location is easy walking distance from Roma Termini. From here we have walked allover Rome. The hotel is a quirky, older building with great character and fantastic staff. Breakfast is excellent. Has a jug in the room for tea and coffee. Very much appreciated. Love the frescoes!
Not a problem, and would not stop me staying again, but our room this time was smaller and was a little difficult to accommodate two large bags. Our previous room had been bigger.

The location was very good. The staff were exceptionally helpful and courteous. Breakfast was plentiful.
As a single traveller I sometimes find that I am given an unsatisfactory room, and that happened here. It was very small and there was a lot of noise as it was near Reception. However, there was no problem in being moved to another room.

The hotel was very clean, and the bathroom was modern and well-equipped. The room was small in the area where the beds were. I couldn’t roll my suitcase to my side of the room, because the space between bed and fridge wasn’t wide enough. There was space in the entry hall with a desk, so the square footage was there, but not well arranged. The breakfast was better than expected with scrambled eggs, bacon, an additional type of egg (sunny side up oneday and boiled eggs another, yogurt, rolls, fruit, cereal, mushrooms, olives, tomatoes, pancakes you can prepare fresh, and a coffe machine with coffee, latte, cappuccino, etc. The staff was always helpful to give information or calla taxi for us. We didn’t use their taxi plan to airport as they wanted us to take a larger vehicle for 90 Euros instead of the 60 Euro cab. We ordered a cab and there was sufficient space in the trunk for two large suitcases and two carry-on. The cab was 55 Euro to FCO airport. The area had several small restaurants and a couple of souvenir shops that were open on Sunday we didn’t have time to explore on a weekday. We stayed for two days after a cruise to see a bit of the city. We had no complaints about the hotel and found it to be adequate for the price. The elevator is extremely small—one person with luggage.
The configuration of the room. The small elevator.

Loved it was near the train station and the staff was just exceptional breakfast was good The room was small but clean and comfortable I would definitely stay here again. The staff made it warm and welcoming. The young man on the night shift ran all the way up the steps to return my credit card left on the counter after a long day of sightseeing when I checked in at 930 that night The bathroom has a high step up to getting in, so it may not be for seniors who have mobility issues

We enjoyed staying at the Amalfi Hotel. First and foremost the location of this property is amazing , right I front of Santa Maria Maggiore and the square , surrounded by many coffee shops and restaurants, great food options. Hotel is a very old and historic place, very small rooms and bathrooms , but so clean and offers all amenities. You can tell it’s been In The family for many years and they take care of their place really well, they put their heart and soul in making sure guests are taken care of. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfasts were quite good as well for an additional cost , but great!
