What a gem! It has character yet is spotlessly clean, modern and has lots of surprises including a lift (thankfully!) & our room had a small balcony with a church view. Lovely toiletries and comfortable bed. It’s central (near Trevi Fountain & Spanish Steps) and close to Barberini metro station (& therefore HO-HO buses). Excellent staff throughout. Breakfast was lovely. One special memory was an older Italian lady in the breakfast room who was delightful & who did her best each day to slowly communicate with me in Italian, after she realised on day one what I was looking for and she came to my aid. I enjoyed our very simple ‘chats’ each day and we had a laugh! All other staff spoke fluent English and were also superb.

Aside from the amazing location and lovely hotel, what set this trip apart for me was the helpfulness and kindness of the staff. Unfortunately just before our trip, my granny hurt her hip and we were worried she’d have to spend the weekend in the hotel, but the staff arranged a wheelchair for us, carried it in and out of the hotel and constantly checked on us. We ended up having an amazing time because of their help, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again! Grazie a tutto lo staff!

The hotel was excellent, In November it was a great value in the center of Rome. Everything was super clean, there was an inviting lobby tastefully furnished and someone at the desk 24 hours. It was in walking distance of the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish steps and many other sights in Rome and walking distance to shops and restaurants. The breakfast was outstanding and the staff serving breakfast excellent. We met the owners and they accommodated every need and we enjoyed talking with them. This is an excellent hotel with so much Italian character.

Nothing

The property was clean and quiet. Despite the size, it felt bigger and I liked having a couch even in my small room. Staffs were very friendly. You are given a heavy key and need to leave them at the desk each time you leave. Old fashioned but I enjoyed the interactions with the staff. One evening, there was no taxi available in the area and the staff looked very distraught on our behalf. We took a bus so it worked out.

Breakfast needs some diversity. I booked the property based on good reviews esp of the breakfast. But I was disappointed in the limited variety. The same limited breakfast was available everyday. We stayed four nights and had three breakfasts.

Great selection for Breakfast. Brilliant location on a quiet street 300 metres from Berberini Square and Metro. 10 mins walk to Spanish Steps and 15 from the Trevi Fountain. 2 Metro stops from Termini Station with a direct 35 minute non stop link to the Airport. Perfect location for everything

Possibly shower mats as it was slippery without one but I should have askee and I am sure it would have been provided

Location is good, very close to the Spanish steps, Borghese gardens and lots of restaurants only 5 minutes walk, even a British style pub! Clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was adequate.

We had early check out at 7am. Breakfast starts at 7:30. The night before, we asked for either a pastry to take or a bowl of cereal before we leave. Neither was accommodated meaning we had to grab something at the airport. The coffee is awful. Though out of the control of the hotel, the street outside leaves a lot to be desired.

Fantastic location, close to the Spanish steps and Tevi Fountain. Really close to the metro making traveling around really easy and quick. Staff were friendly and approachable and helped us with getting early take away breakfasts and gluten free options at breakfast too. The room was clean, a good size and had all we needed. Would definitely recommend and return in the future. Ta6nks for a great stay!

The breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from including fresh fruit. I was happy to see an electric jug in the room. Clean towels were laways supplied and the room was nicely serviced each day Yes decore was tasteful and common spaces were restful and elegant.

A couple of little milk servings could have been supplied for the coffee? Also a buscuit would have been nice.. Noises carried loudly through the walls.

Fantastic location. Nr metro (Barberini: two stops from Termini Station on A line and 3 mins walk to hotel). 5 mins walk to Trevi fountains - and some nice eateries - and 10 mins to Spanish Steps. Walkable to most major sights within 5-30 mins. We did get metro to Vatican- again easy from Barberini- just tap debit card at metro barrier (1.50 euros) but we walked back. Friendly staff and reception is always manned. Room was quite small (as often in major EU cities!) but nicely done and we had a balcony (room 302) which was great. There is a small courtyard garden too. Breakfast was fine and plentiful, albeit not hugely varied. Certainly more than sufficient to set you up for a day's sightseeing! Lift and a bar open in evening till 10pm (if hotel bars are your thing) Tasteful decor in a classical sort of way. Nice art work around. Shower was fine/water, hot and comfy beds. Good housekeeping everyday. All in all, a good hotel for a central base. Just slightly up a hill (but only brief and moderate) if an issue for anyone. Very quiet street, slept very well.

My only disappointment was the lack of tea/coffee/water facilities in lounge area. Also that they charged for bottled water from the room mini fridge - no complimentary water at all. Having said that, there is a water fountain at the bottom of the street and we didn't die drinking the tap water either! Given the nice courtyard garden, it would have been good to have been able to make/buy a drink in the daytime, especially on arrival. Otherwise, all was good and we would stay there again.

Luca and his staff made this a pleasurable stay. I blew up my nebulizer with the adapter and front desk sent me to the closest farmacia. My husband broke his glasses and they sent us to the closest store. Chef cooked up some great pizza and lasagna. Great location near taxi stand and piazza barberini. We loved it so much we canceled our other reservation and spent the last two days of our trip at the Modigliani.
