Very clean, well kept, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast. Our room was beautiful but a little small. Very nice shower and bathroom. Robes and slippers a plus.

Location in general was great, but the actually street that the hotel was on was not clean. There was a lot of trash and several homeless people sleeping in doorways. We were concerned when we 1st saw the street. However, the hotel itself is pristine.

From the moment of arrival to the Mate Filippo it was magical. Processeco on arrival after being met my the wonderful Grace at reception,, such a pleasure from check in to check out. Rooms are perfection.

Have to admit, this woudl be the first hotel, I woudl not change a thing. The Roooms were so nice and couldn't fault the rooms. The team are so nice. The couryard outside and access to the roof was ideal.

The staff was so helpful, friendly and supportive. They recognized us immediately and said “Welcome back” when we returned and “Have a nice day” when we left. They have a very efficient system to hail Taxis and always matched the number of the taxi to our printed recipes making me feel safe with my young daughter. I had a mishap with my mobile phone’s eSim and they let me use an extra lobby phone to call the USA, the troubleshooting took almost two hours over two days and they let me use their phone until my issue was thankfully resolved. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, they had a nice Continental breakfast with a large assortment of items to choose from. The location was perfect, close to everything but also a bit secluded which made it quiet at night. We had such a great experience! We are headed to Florence and booked the Room Mate brand there too!

Excellent hotel!!! The room was superb containing all necessary items and more; from shoe shine kit through bathrobes and slippers to a safe. Beds and washroom were spotless and comfy and the whole unit was spacious. The public areas were neat, clean, and tastefully furnished, and breakfast was the yummiest and most generous. Perfect location, in a quiet alley - 3 minutes walk from Piazza Barberini (with its Metro stop) in one direction, and 10 minutes leisurely stroll from the Spanish Steps and Trinità dei Monti church on the other side. Despite the nearby Metro, all highlights - even the further ones - are within walking distance, including lots of dining places. But above all - the RM Filippo staff stands out! The most pleasant and professional women and men who truly care for and about their guests: Dining room personnel, maintenance, housekeeping, and of course the front desk staff who was extremely helpful and with whom we could conduct jolly chit-chats whenever we met in the lobby. After all, what comes from the heart - goes into the heart! GRAZIE MILLE! :-)

I had a wonderful stay at Room Mate Filippo! The location is perfect—just a short walk from the main sights and close to great shopping areas. The hotel feels recently renovated, with a beautifully designed interior that’s both stylish and welcoming. My room was spacious, bright, and very clean, with lots of natural light and a modern bathroom that was truly impressive. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety, and the entire place had a fresh, vibrant atmosphere. What really stood out was the staff—they were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They even helped me choose and reserve excellent restaurants nearby, which made my experience even more memorable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome!

Great Location. Beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff that tends to all your needs. Clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. Elevator, which is very important to guests that can't climb stairs. It is one of the best breakfast displays we have seen in a long time.

Everything is really very well thought out for guests. If I have to pick something that may be addressed is that guests pay a lot of money to stay here. Having some type of drink and snack in the room that doesn't cost addition would make this hotel pretty much perfect.

This hotel is very cozy and nice, and you feel it once you arrive, feels like home! Everything is so neat and stylish. The room looks brand new, so every time you come back after promenade you feel super comfortable. The staff is super friendly - from guys who welcome and check you in to amazing women who serve the breakfast. When we arrived there was a guy named Umberto - such a nice Italian man who welcomed us so warmly and recommended a lot of amazing tasty restaurants. On my Birthday they surprised me and presented me a cake while we were having breakfast. It was super nice! By the way, as to the breakfast - it was quite good and tasty. If you’ve been to Europe before, you know that a typical European breakfast is not smth really special, but I guess that this hotel has a pretty nice choice. Location is just amazing! It’s only 10 mins walk to Trevi fountain, Spanish steps; the Colosseum is a bit further, but trust me you can walk there, especially with coffee&meal stops, so you’ll not get tired. We didn’t use any public transport at all. And one more important thing- the hotel is kind of hidden in the narrow street, so it’s not noisy, that’s a great bonus I guess. So, I’m so happy that I chose this hotel. Many many thanks to the guys who work there, you’re making this place special.

Comfortable room with large bed, quality bedding and good A/C. The staff made us feel welcome and were professional, helpful and friendly. The quiet street location was very good for walking to the main sights.

We had to leave at 7 am on Sunday for our flight, before Breakfast was served that day so we paid unnecessarily for it. We were offered a box of breakfast food to take but that wouldn’t have worked in the airport. So it could be clearer on the booking pages that Sunday breakfast service is later than weekdays so people can book just the room rate then if leaving early.

This hotel is an ideal location, right next to the Piazza Bernini!! The hotel's small street has two of the most important streets in Rome on either side (Via Sistina and Via Veneto) - each just a half block away. It is a short walk to the Villa Medici and the Monte dei Trinita Church, the Spanish steps, and the Borghese Gardens and, in the other direction, to the Trevi Fountain and the Quirinale. It is an even shorter walk to one of the most important museums in Rome-at the Palazzo Barberini, as well as to the Museum of Modern Art and the Church and Ossuary of the Cappucins. Breakfast was all-you-can-eat (including American-style fluffy pancakes and fresh berries) and we came away with little need for lunch. The breakfast staff (Nairi and Guisi, to name the two we saw most frequently) were really nice as were the desk staff (Grace, Emanuele, Umberto), who were happy to offer suggestions for things we would enjoy and always recognized us and greeted us, as did the porter. We had a multi-day stay and would have stayed even longer even if we didn't have time constraints. We just didn't want to leave. Even though there are three other hotels in Rome that we have stayed at that we also would be very happy to go back to (each in three different neighborhoods) , we picked a new neighborhood this time and we now have a new favorite hotel. There were so many good restaurants in easy walking distance that it was an embarrassment of riches. We had trouble figuring out which of our new three favorite restaurants in the vicinity we most wanted to go back to on our last night in Rome, The hotel is really gorgeous, with an elegant lobby. The bed and pillows were excellent and our room was super quiet. Moreover, unlike some other Italian hotels we have stayed in, the heat control in our room allowed us a perfect daytime temperature and to be toasty warm at night. Given all these pluses the hotel offers very good value for the money.

Minor suggestions: at breakfast (a) the croissants are a little dry, (b) why no prosciutto?
