The room was spotless. Location was great. Plenty of shops, restaurants around and right beside the Vatican. (Amazing gelato just outside and gorgeous sandwich shop around the corner) Great facilities, perfect for our family of four with two young children. The air conditioning was AMAZING as it was very very hot out. We only actually saw the housekeeping staff (who were lovely) as it's like a remote check in. However, access was so easy and the check in instructions were perfect and we had some messages to check everything was ok for us and they were very helpful arranging a taker to the airport for us on our last day. We really enjoyed our stay.

If I'm nitpicking, one of the rooms was brighter than the other but I had my eye mask so it wasn't a problem.

The room is cleaned every day. The bed mattress is very comfortable. The bed does not creak. The bathroom is equipped with new and modern appliances. The accommodation has a common area equipped with Gimoka coffee machine, Russel Hobs coffee filter, Moulinex kettle, fridge, toaster, microwave, kitchen utensils, armchairs and sofa. From the common space you can go out onto the terrace in the inner courtyard equipped with a parasol, coffee table, chairs and a wooden sofa. There are many plants and flowers on the terrace. Access to the room is easy via the stairs or the elevator.

The rooms facing the street are a bit noisy but you can close the shutters and there is no noise.

Great location and view. Our room overlooked busy Piazza del Risorgimento and we could see Castel Sant'Angelo in the distance, yet traffic noise inside the room was very limited. The reception was very friendly, but since the staff was usually not present, we had a great sense of privacy. The room was spacious and very clean. Also the shared spaces (kitchen, etc.) were tidy and clean.

Location is within the Vatican City. Good restaurants and the best gelato is in the vicinity. The Vatican was a few steps away. We can actually view the walls of The Vatican from our room window. The place is very clean & neat. Filipinos owned and managed the place. There was a very good coffee machine we could use anytime for free. There is also a big open terrace we can stay.

The host was very responsive. We followed the instructions for checking in and everything went smoothly. Very nice location as it only took 5 min to walk to the Vatican City. The room is clean and big. We also enjoyed the kitchen area and the terrace. We rented a baby trolley from the host and it saved us!

The wifi was not very strong in my room

Although in the old building, it had very comfortable facilities. Great location. It has a very nice terrace with tables and a small playground for kids which was great for our baby. I would give 10/10 but the room was poorly ventilated. Overall, great accommodation and highly recommended especially for families with small kids.

Location is awesome. Many nice restaurants and bars around. The hosts are really great people. The room/apartment was clean. We definitely recommend it for a family stay.

Since it is a guest house, there were guests in other apartments and it was at moments a bit louder. The sound isolation could be better. If we could ask for an improvement, this would be it. Everything else is great.

Great location! Near Vatican, with walking distance to all the most important spots of the city. With 3 kids (the youngest just 4 years old) we didn't use the public transport or taxi even once. Big advantage is the proximity of St. Peter's Square which allows you to visit it during late evening hours, when it is not crowded but still impressive. The host was very helpful and informative. The rooms were cleaned every day. Well equipped kitchen and the terrace to use freely.

Gerlen was very accommodating and was very responsive pre, during and post stay. We rented a 2 bedroom and a 1 bedroom for 3 days and 2 nights and it felt like we had the run of the house. The communal kitchen was great, there was a washer on premises but no dryer but was ok because of the Italian heat, our clothes dried outside while we were out. The place has its own private patio with a lot of seating, a great way to spend dinner at after a long day of sightseeing. The place also has an elevator which helped with our luggage. And the location!!! You cannot beat the location, it is literally on the other side of the wall of St. Peter’s Square- a 6 minute walk. Lots of restaurants around the area and delicious gelateria next door. I cannot recommend this place enough! If you’re going to Rome, look up Gerlen at La Vite Vaticana!

Location fantastic! Staff friendly and communicative. Bed was comfortable - just ask for extra pillows if needed. TV had HDMI port so we could use the iPad to watch series at night. Wi-Fi was great. Free coffee in the community kitchen was a nice touch, and each room was provided with its own kettle as well! Mini fridge was good to keep small things in. Cleaning was provided everyday if you wanted. Radiator was nice to have, as we stayed in the winter. AC was also provided, it we didn’t need to use it.

Location can get a little loud at night if you keep the window open.
