Lovely option in Trastevere. We stayed in the Michelangelo room and thoroughly enjoyed the spacious living quarters and outdoor terrace opposite the bell tower of the Basilica di Santa Maria. The property has a lot of cachet and is spotlessly clean. The pictures perfectly matched the reality. You enter the building between two rows of outdoor tables at restaurant la Canonica. The other two rooms on offer are of more modest size but are complemented by the common living room with a comfy leather sofa.

The hot water is fine for showering, but it could be warmer for using the tile bathtub. This was of course January.

Excellent location for walker tourists (20-30 min walk to major places )with real Rome feel. Restaurants below made the experience more special and the street noise was not an issue for us because of a white noise from air conditioning. Communication with owners was flawless and informative.

Not an easy way to move in and out your luggage. Steep and narrow staircase might be challenging especially for elderly .In addition common area and kitchen are shared with other apartments which might be an issue for less social people.

the location is great. we checked ourselves in - that’s a good option in case things don’t align and this way you don’t have to wait for the stuff to open. it looks like a small apartment that got turned into a multi-room Airbnb. you do need to walk a steep flight of stairs. then you end up in a common area - kitchen and the rooms are around it. the room is tiny but you won’t stay inside that much at all. you are right in the middle of it all and it will get quiet at night. the entrance to the place is right in the middle of the restaurant sitting - so prepare to take some time to find it.

I think the bathroom could be a touch cleaner, but I’m also super sensitive.

It is a good place to stay and relax after long walks. The noise from the restaurants was like a lullaby. There is no need for your phone to check for a time since the bell of Santa Maria is reminding you in real time every 15 min. I'm going to miss it.

Steep steps. If you are traveling with seniors, don't consider this apartment.

The area of Trastevere was lovely, and the hotel is located right across from the church, just around the corner of the piazza. The staff are wonderful and they do a very good, thorough job with cleaning. Very responsive to the few questions I had during our stay. The room itself was beautiful, comfortable bed, very clean. Don’t expect a lot of space, but it was perfect for our 4 night stay.

We had trouble every night getting in with the door code, and I know other guests did as well because the doorbell rang a few times in the night. We were able to use the key instead so it wasn’t a big issue. If I stayed there again however (I hope to make it back to Rome!) I’d ask for the staff to show me how to do it exactly. Also, it is quite noisy until late in the evening as it is above a lively restaurant. HOWEVER, I had earplugs for sleeping so it didn’t really bother me. Just wanted to point this out so future guests can be prepared.

Lovely accommodation and the staff were very helpful. The location is fantastic - but it is very noisy with the main square just outside. Plenty of great restauarants and bars nearby. All major sites are walking distance

While the location is great there is a trade off with noise - you are right on the main square - things often don't quieten down until midnight especially at the weekend, and the rubbish collection trucks are out and about from 7am. It's also worth noting the steps up to the rooms are very steep so if you have any mobility issues this may not be the place for you.

Great location, very helpful staff

As noted elsewhere, lots of stairs. Pack two smaller bags rather than one big one if you can. Getting up with our large bag was quite an undertaking but Claudia was a great help with that. Also the noise level from the various restaurants and bars and the 24 hour bell tower at the basilica can take a little getting used to but not enough to detract from the location.

Just the best location! We love the Trastevere and Gianicolo. For a traditional apartment, it’s very modern and clean. Two bedroomed suite perfect for us with teenage daughter. It’s great to have the shared kitchen - fridge was essential to us in August! The balcony overlooking the Santa Maria Church and square fantastic. Action over by midnight so don’t worry about noise. We got used to telling the time by the church bells, we loved that. Our favourite neighbourhood bar is Bar del Cinque (Give Me 5) round the corner - stopped for a nightcap every night and they knew our cocktail order! . Great restaurants around our spot and 5/10 might nutre walk to Tiber bridges/taxi rank

Nothing - just that some little cartons or sachets of milk in the shared fridge would be helpful. Husband loves black coffee - me not so much or tea!

Awesome room in a fun location filled with restaurants in bars at a very good price point. Host was great.

This neighbourhood is extremely loud, so if late nights and good times are part of your holiday plans it’s perfect. If you plan to go to bed early, pack earplugs. Also, there is no metro train station close by. Taxi to Colosseum between 12 and €20.

First of all, rooms are named after famous Italian artists, I was in Caravaggio room, the view from our window was amazing… When you wake up, you can see how Trastevere is walking up as well, restaurants are opening and you feel like it’s new beginning <3 Second, everything was clean, host was available all the time and very kind. Third, location is perfect, ofc if you like to stay in Trastevere :)
