This little gem is in a perfect location. We were surrounded by Rome’s best places to eat and it was gorgeous. We walked to the centre of Rome, the Pantheon was about 1.4km, and was lovely walk across the river. It used to pretty simple to get to from the airport, with a short walk from the tram stop. The hotel is quaint and calm. It was like we were the only guests there. Reception is only staffed in the morning, but they were very attentive and helpful when required. The room is older but very clean and useful. I was told there are not many hotels in Trastevere, so book it if you can!

The room had minimal natural light, which isn’t an issue with the lights provided. But something to be mindful of if it is something you desire.

What a superb, characterful, welcoming retreat. I loved this accomodation. The staff were so so lovely, helpful and warm. The room was so pleasant with air-conditioning and we felt we had great privacy in room 1. The location is great if you want an area that has a heap of selection of places to dine yet still close to fantastic , historical churches and squares. Great place to take photos of old walls hung with masses of ivy. It is obvious that the people involved in this hotel understand what a tourist is looking for. Comfy beds, great service, easy to check in/out and come and go. Well done!!

The hotel was located in the perfect spot, close to everything and yet still quiet. The room had everything we needed, was super clean, and we enjoyed coming back to the room to reset from all the exploring in Rome. The staff was super helpful and welcoming. We highly recommend this place and will definitely come back when we return to Rome.

What was there not to like. Mini fridge, shower and bath. Plenty of space for luggage and to unpack, not having to live out of the suitcase. Amazing location, on a quiet street, but just round the corner from amazing food, shops and a lively night time atmosphere. Air conditioning worked perfectly, lovely little terrace out of the sun (which was needed for a June trip to Rome). They gave us all the information required and no key for the room, which was so nice because who wants to be carrying around a room key on holiday. Everything we wanted from a stay and had such an Italian feel that we craved whilst in Italy for the first time.

Room cleaning service everyday, not optional (just a personal preference) and the floors are hard and get dirty quickly (this is the same everywhere we stayed in Italy). This is being incredibly picky, because it was an all round 10/10 hotel.

We had initial reservations about staying 'outside' the main area of Rome, but I am so glad we chose the area of Trastevere to stay. And especially so, at this great little family run hotel right in the heart of this unique neighbourhood with so many great restaurants and just a short walk across the River Tiber towards all the main attractions. The beautiful Basilica di'Santa Maria is just down the end of the street. Residenza San Calisto was a comfortable place to retreat to at night from the hustle and bustle and was very quiet for sleeping. They organised for our washing to be done at a very reasonable price too. We had our own AC and the staff were super helpful with transfers and information. If you would like to enjoy a wonderful wine and food experience that is quintessential Italy the Fabullus Wine Cellar is accessible through the foyer and we were lucky enough to fit this in before our flight. Ginevra paired outstanding food and wine and shared her extensive knowledge and passion with us. We would stay here again on our return to Rome.

The pillows were a little hard for my liking.

I stayed at the separate apartment. The location was great, no noise from the street but centrally located. Pedro was really nice and gave a lot of tips.

Exceptional location and a comfortable little haven in rome. The staff where friendly and helpful and the beds super comfortable.

My only gripe was the toilet flush is quite weak as was the general water pressure but they really are very small gripes against a host of overwhelming positives!

We loved staying at this hotel. It was quirky, but in a good way. The owner was lovely. It's perfectly located. You can be in the centre of Rome in 15 minutes. There is a really good café (Caffe' Di Marzio) just a 1 minute walk from the hotel. The breakfast menu is really good. The hotel itself is well maintained & even when the hot water didn't work one morning, they had the whole boiler replaced on the same day! It was back up & running by around 16:00. Great effort from the owner. We also had a bottle of wine & some snacks left in our room. The room also had a smart TV so we could sign into Netflix/Amazon Prime.

We loved the location. It was right in the heart of Trastevere. Prime spot to walk to everything. We went at the beginning of May and the flowers were in bloom everywhere. It was magical. Like stepping back in time.

The bed could have been more comfortable. It was on the stiff side but we're still able to get a good night's sleep. Also there is no elevator so we had to walk up 4 flights of stairs to our apartment. After waking Rome for 10 miles it was exhausting.

Communication with the Hotel team was great throughout and even before the stay. Operations of the Hotel has been well thought out and people centric. We felt safe and were happy with the room, there are only 6rooms in the property so it was a peaceful stay. The property is only a street from the happening buzz of Trastevere which has endless food choices. Not far from major attractions as we usually take a taxi to/fro or a bus/tram which is a short walk from the property. We were allowed to make use of the hotel’s rest area even after check out while waiting for the airport transfer which was a very nice gesture. Thank you for the wonderful experience and great hospitality shown, we will definitely recommend your property to our friends and anyone who is visiting Rome.

One thing to note is that only the driver will be at the doorstep and not the vehicle. we will have to walk down the street with our carry ons and one luggage as the driver could only carry 2 at a time( there were 3 of us) Not enough to spoil our impression but a good thing to note as the cobblestones in Rome are no joke especially for elderly people who are not accustomed to these roads.
