It was 3 of us: myself, my mum and my dad and we stayed in a room (Cristallo) in a large private apartment in a great location with a 6-digit code to access the building and another 6-digit code to access the apartment itself. The building has contemporary finishes yet a vintage, Victorian vibe situated right next to Vatican City on Via Costantino Morin, a short 20 minutes from Centro. The place is super clean with the elevator up to the 4th floor small, yet incredibly quiet and smooth. Now inside the apartment itself, you’re first greeted with a small kitchen that was always stocked with fresh brioche buns, cornetti and bomboloni, different flavours every morning to kinda keep you guessing. The fridge always had fresh milk and juice and there was a lovely coffee machine to make the most Italian of cappuccinos in the morning, all thanks to the lovely caretaker Mariella who was absolutely wonderful and helpful! To far end of LHS corridor awaits Cristallo. The great thing about this room is that it is on the corner of the building and therefore, has a window on both adjacent walls that keeps the room wonderfully lit during the day and ventilated at night. The floors are hardwood and the room was large enough to be comfortable for 3. Lots of amazing restaurants in the immediate vicinity (definitely check the reviews before you go), lots of shops and a grocery store right in front of the apartment building.

Okay so a bit about the slight negatives to make a note of (hopefully the proprietario, the lovely and hospitable Andrea, can resolve with the help of this review): firstly, the push button to the WC was faulty with only one button of the dual function plate functional. Secondly, I feel the common area can become a little cramped if all rooms of the apartment are fully booked. Luckily for us that was not the case so we didn’t have to worry too much about that. Thirdly, the area is relatively posh and as a result, parking can be hard to come by in the white and blue zones. Underground parking can be a bit expensive (€20 per day for our Nissan Qashqai).

The location of this bed and breakfast is slightly away from the touristy part of the Vatican but also super close. St. Peter’s Basilica is about a 10-15 min walk away and close to the Vatican museums as well. The bus and metro are also so close! The furthest site to see is the colosseum but can be reached shortly by Metro line A. All other attractions are not as far and can be walked or bus ride away or metro ride away. The staff such as Mariella are very well versed in the area and super helpful with accommodations. The owner Andrea is also very nice and polite and helped out with all our questions. I would definitely stay here again whenever I am back in Rome instead of a hotel. I really do suggest staying here for a comfortable cozy stay in Rome.

Accomodation was great, we were 4 in the room ( family with 2 children). The staff was sooooo great, they gave us advice on where to visit and how to buy tickets.Breakfast was Italian - toast croissant, coffee, tea, cocoa. Very close to Vatican city cca 10 min.by walk, subway cca 9min.by walk. The room was clean, bet little bit soft - but it was ok. We were realy veru satisfide with all.

Mariella is a super host! Thank you very much for your advice and your nice work! This is a wonderful spot in Rome: ideal B&B for visiting Rome center and Vatican. Bus stop nearby. Clean rooms, good beds, super bathroom, host Mariella is outstanding. Supermarket at 50 metres, restaurants nearby. Everything super. We recommend it.

The location was in a nice neighborhood close to the metro and in a walking distance from the Vatican. The building is very nicely renovated and the room is spacious, clean and soundproofed. Mariella, who serves breakfast is a very kind and friendly person.

The breakfast area is poor and really not needed, considering you are in Rome. That said the brioche was always fresh and good. The air was also a bit stale. All in all, the place was very good, but considering the price range, some luxury would be expected. Unfortunately, it seems the norm in Rome nowadays.

SHOWER LEAKED. LOCATION WAS CLOSE TO VATICAN BUT SOMEWHAT FAR FROM OTHER ATTRACTIONS. LOVED MY LATTES IN AM AND THE YOUNG LADY ASSISTING WAS VERY HELPFUL. BREAKFAST WAS MINIMAL, HAVE STAYED AT OTHER B AND B WOULD SERVES FRESH FRUIT AND EGGS FRESHLY MADE. ROOM CLEAN AND ACCEPTABLE.

Room was nice in general, nice bathroom, nice bed. Mariella was very kind and helpful.

Room was next to the breakfast area, so in the morning there was noise from people of other rooms taking breakfast. Breakfast was typical Italian (milk, cereals, coffee, juice, croissant, toast), no fruits.

This was a very comfortable stay! The bed was comfortable, the shower was very modern, air conditioning worked very well. The breakfast was pretty good and we could always count on Nethmi to be helpful. We were close to several great reataurants where we ended up getting dinner.

It is somewhat far from the monumental center of Rome, so transportation is required if you don't want to walk for over 20 minutes. The Vatican is close, however, as the name implies. The doors to the building and room are opened via a link sent to you by the hosts, which initially seems fine until you start to fear running out of battery on your mobile device and getting locked out of your room. Thankfully this didn't happen to us!

Marianne was really very helpful. She was all smiles and even arranged for gluten free breakfast. She also gave tips about what to do and where to go. The location was great, it is a short distance from Ottaviano metro station. The room was spacious and impeccably clean. We arrived late but self-check in was quite easy

Everything as rated is top tier, staff are extremely friendly and always willing to chat as well as help recommend places to go touristy and less known more authentic areas to visit.
