The story is a little long but worth telling. I booked another hotel in Rome for my family. When we arrived at the hotel, the accommodations did not meet our expectations, so we decided to leave immediately and look for another accommodation. Lucky for us we found SONDER.......fantastic place, a villa in the middle of Rome, with its own parking, a very clean, spacious place, full kitchen, very efficient reception, differentiated service and at a fair cost. Truly one of the best places we have stayed from BOOKING as a family. Furthermore, I constantly travel to all countries around the world and I have never found, even in 5-star hotels, the quality of environment in this place. SIMPLY FANTASTIC.!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS

It was very close to everything. 20 minute walk to the termini and we found our favorite pizza place within a 4 minute walk (Soporito). It was very beautiful inside the property. No checkin upon arrival, everything was done 3 days prior.

It was very damp, and because of that it had a moldy musty smell. Also there was ants everywhere, including on the beds

The apartament was clean and well equiped. There is a supermarket nearby and it’s open till late night. It’s very well communicated with the city. A lot of nice restaurants, bars and cafes in Neighbourhood. You ll find all that you need for a shorter and longer stay - tv with Netflix, espresso machine, washing machine, iron, hair dryer. Would recommend it 100 %.

The sofa is a bit uncortfortable and squicky. And the sink was cloged. Other then that it was really nice.

Sonder San Lorenzo is a gated property with a private terrace to each two-level apartment. The apartments are modern, well furnished and spotlessly clean. Many family restaurants in the neighbourhood serve good Italian food at reasonable prices; kebab and sushi are also available, and of course pizza. Tram no. 3 stops right outside the entrance and connects to Etruscan Museum and Porta Maggiore, with onward bus connections to Colosseum, Circus Maximus and Vatican. Bus no. 71 (bus stop in via Tiburtina) runs frequently during the daytime and takes you downtown in about twenty minutes. If you are flying out, you can take the no. 71 to Stazione Tiburtina and the local train from there to Fiumicino airport, instead of the higher-priced airport express from Termini station.

Appliances (dishwasher, washing machine) need maintenance: first aid kit needs a refill. Otherwise, no problems whatever.

We were very happy with our stay. The location is great—easy access to public transport, a calm and quiet neighborhood, and close to everything we needed. The property was just as described and overall a good experience.

The only downside was the owner’s lack of flexibility. Due to an important last-minute event, I had to request a date change, but they were not willing to accommodate any alternative dates except the original one I booked. Unfortunately, there was no support offered, and I risked losing my payment. I recommend booking with a flexible policy if there’s any chance your plans might change. Also the check in is at 4pm which is quite late and you need to pay extra if you want to check in early :(

A very cozy structure in the area of San Lorenzo with a couple of units gathering around a long courtyard. The tram stop is literally in front of the front door, supermarket is 2 minutes away. My room was spacious and had a lovely terrace.

The check-in process was very complicated, right after booking I got flooded with text messages on my phone about pre-check in. Once I arrived in Rome I had to download an app and put a lot of data in to receive the door code. Once inside the building I had to videocall someone to have my identity checked.

I did not stay at the Sonder San Lorenzo location. It was cancelled a few hours before our arrival due to an emergency repair to the apartment. Marco of Sonder customer service was exceptional at helping us ease our panic and to quickly resolve the mishap: Sonder offered us a free upgrade to their Sonder Trastevere location. It was gorgeous! I highly recommend it. Although we needed to be closer to Sapienza, in the end, the comfort and upgrade was very much appreciated and enjoyed. The apartment is secured, clean, modern and well equipped -everything ias in the pictures. We were located in the inner courtyard where it was quiet and we did not hear any noise from the main road. The online Customer service is always available and helpful. The apartment is not in a metro area, but there is public transport available in front of the main gate. The neighborhood is authentic, there are few 24/7 markets just in few minutes away from the apartment and also a lively street with cafes and restaurants cheaper than in the city center.

For me as a woman, the only thing missing in the apartment is a shelf or cabinet in the bathroom where I could put my personal care products.

Conviniently located right at Reti tram station and a small walk to Verano and Termini/ Porta Miggiore. Lot of convinience stores and good food nearby! The room is compact but the living area was spacious to accomodate a small family of 3. It has parking as well which was very convinient.

Had issues during check-in. There was a power outage in the area, which they did let us know via email. However, there is no front desk and we had to wait outside during a heatwave just to get into the room. They did send someone to solve the issue in half an hour and it saved the day. Didnt have any problems after that.
