Suite Farnese Design via Alessandro Farnese 8, whilst in a quiet, sophisticated area of Roma is within comfortable walking distance of many iconic Roman tourist spots and local restaurants. After successfully accessing the apartment via the multi-stage access procedure you will sleep safely in the knowledge of your invulnerability to the many criminal elements of the Italian populace. The reception is serviced from 8.00 - 1.00 to assist the less competent with access. We had room 302 and other rooms may have a different configuration. The apartment (room) was large with a very large, integral bedroom and living area and a small but functional bathroom. The decor and furniture is of “antiquity” style, with the wallpaper behind the extra large bed a blend of old Rome and an incipient mould look. The furniture is old World, with the corner desk successfully hiding a small fridge. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided and a second sofa bed for the extended family. With a relatively low expenditure, the decor of the room could be significantly enhanced. Whilst the bathroom is small, it is functional, although the shower will require assistance from your wife or a Mensa level IQ to operate. Breakfast is provided in another hotel, Hotel 21, within 200M of the Suite. The breakfast was excellent, with an extensive range of hot and cold fare to cater for both the “Western” and Mediterranean diet, in a rooftop dining area. There is a supermarket within walking distance; turn left on leaving the building, first right and the supermarket is about 400M on your left. A small, invisible entrance and make sure you check your receipt as overcharging may be endemic. Whilst this review may sound a bit negative, the key question is “would we book this accommodation again.” A definite YES so it must be rated RECOMMEND.

The decor (wallpaper) leaves a bit to be desired and does little to enhance the room appearance. A minor upgrade to the furniture and room decor would significantly hence its attraction and general appeal.

Suites Farnese Design is in a great location with very comfortable rooms. The breakfast in the hotel nearby was excellent. The staff at Suites Farnese Design were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely consider staying here again if we were in Rome.

Although the room was comfortable and had good facilities, there was a socket in the shower cubicle with a pull cord attached. This was broken and hanging down, thus exposing the internal wiring. I did push it up and try to fix it in place as a temporary measure, however, this would not be acceptable in a bathroom in the UK. In fairness, if I had reported the issue, I believe it would have been dealt with quickly but I am surprised as to why it was not noticed when the room was being cleaned and prepared for us arriving.

I liked the position, close to the main tourist attractions, in a good neighborhood, the varied breakfast, taken at the hotel next to the suites, on the rooftop terace with a view to the Vatican Cathedral, the possibility to self check- in, the friendly and helpful staff which gave us information and different directions. The possibility to pay at the property.

Thin walls... If someone next your room talked a bit loud you could hear everything. And our room had little natural light having just one window, on the lateral side of the building.

It was in the Prati area which was a quiet area, about 15 minutes from Vatican and 25 minute walk to Trevi. We were close to a Metro station which was nice when we needed to use it otherwise we waked everywhere. The room was clean and had a mini fridge in it. The buffet breakfast at the hotel around the corner was excellent and there were a lot of restaurants within walking distance to eat at.

The staff hours at the front desk were limited. Not available if you had questions on your room or wanted guidance on the city as we were gone early and arrived back after their available hours.

Great and helpful staff, excellent location for sightseeing, big and clean room (jr suite), comfortable bed (American king size) , refrigerator in room, good air conditioning. Also, having the choice to add breakfast was so convenient—the choice of foods was plentiful and good.

I liked everything. Would stay again. There were some issues with hot water and water pressure, but everything was fixed as soon as the issues were reported.

Very responsive staff, breakfast, location. The hotel rooms are located on the 3rd floor, so there is a good view from the window. A clear check in/out system, as well as the ability to leave luggage before and after check in/out times.

Some nights it was hard to sleep (our room faced the courtyard) because of night life happening in courtyard closer to the street.

The AC worked great which is important in Europe because many barely cool the room. Our family of 4 liked the room. We have a large king size bed and 2 twin beds. We had lots of room for all of us. The mini frig was very helpful and they had water and beer waiting for us.

The elevator is a bit small and no air in it. We stayed on the 3rd floor. Not an issue for my family but could be an issue for young families or older people.

The room was a great size, and the bed was comfy. It had a lift, so there were no stairs to the 2nd floor. A nice balcony looked over the side of the building. It was easy getting in and out of the building. Breakfast was a short walk away were there were plenty of options to choose from.

Although the shower was large and the shower itself looked fancy, the water pressure and flow were pretty low. The balcony door also didn't shut properly. The air-conditioning was a bit noisy too.

Location was ideal for our plans. Able to walk to most sites we wanted to see in Rome. Of course we are fit and walking 3 to 5 kilometres in 35 degree weather was no issue for us as we live in the tropics and are used to 45-50 degrees of humidity. Great views. GREAT SHOWER!

The toilet flush button was difficult to press. Possibly due calcification? Softer pillows might have been nice. Stairwell was dark. The lights, if they are automatic, did not come.
