Advantages of the facility: ambience, original Tuscan experience, rooms correspond to the photos, neat, clean and spacious, every day the maids tidy up and put clean bed linen and towels. The view from the room on San Miniato is wonderful.

We are not demanding, but if we were to look for flaws, we would say that it would be desirable to renovate the bathroom a bit, add more light to the bathroom, and it would be a big plus if they added a kettle to the rooms. The breakfast is ok, there is not a large selection of food, but something basic will be found and there will be more room to enjoy trying Tuscan specialties later in the day :)

Nice hotel conveniently located by the church and bell tower in San miniato. Our room was spacious with lovely views out of the window over San miniato. Parking is provided for free in the square beside the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. Nice restaurant attached to the hotel with, again, great views. Breakfast included in the price

€20 per night for a travel cot is quite a lot, not a huge range of GF options at breakfast

A party of five weary cyclists (it is some ascent up to San Miniato!), we received a great welcome and very secure parking for our bikes. The hotel is at the top of San Miniato, and the rooms have absolutely incredible views. Being a converted monstery, the hotel is full of history, and the rooms retain this heritage while being very well appointed. We received an excellent recommendation from staff for dinner.

A slight confusion over the price of breakfast - the procedure to pay could have been clearer. But a very minor niggle for a superb stay in an amazing place.

We last stayed at the Miravalle about 6 years ago and based on a good experience, chose to return. It's about 45 minutes from Pisa Airport and therefore a good choice if you are checking in for a mid-morning flight. The hotel, a former palazzo, is located at the head of a cliff with stunning views northwards across the Arno valley. Ask for a room on that side. Our room was large, well appointed and with an excellent shower room. The Miravalle is eccentric in location and design, but puts a smile on your face. Immediately adjacent are the cathedral and the diocesan museum and art galley, both well worth a look. Access by car is challenging owing to the combination of steep gradients, one-way systems and limited signage. If you send your number plate to reception they will register your exemption for the restricted areas.

The view was amazing and looking out the window to the valley around just took you away to a different time. The room was very spacious and a bit spartan influenced as there was not much furniture around. However, it feelt grandiose and like you stepped into an old castle.

The light in the hallway turned off by itself and took some time to light up when you walked the hall. Also, there was a lot of rebuilding going on which I wasn't aware of when booking it. However it wasn't a big concern, just looked a bit odd walking around the scaffolding.

We were transferred to Hotel San Miniato (HSM) because Hotel Miravalle is undergoing renovations - it is covered in scaffolding currently. HSM is very comfortable, staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast is very good, and there are great views of the sunset.

HSM is not as conveniently located as Hotel Miravalle, which is close to the cathedral and the reason we originally booked there. However, the transfer was arranged seamlessly by the hotel when they realised they couldn’t honour our booking and we were given the option to choose to stay somewhere else in San Miniato.

It’s right in the historical center, being a guest of the hotel can directly park in front of the stairs. The rooms and the bar have gorgeous views. There’s also a small music concert right out of the window in the afternoon, at night it’s quiet for rest.

The last 200m of driving is only single lane but it’s for cars of two directions, fortunately there’s almost no traffic.

Right in the heart of lovely San Miniato, this historic hotel is perfect! The room had a stunning view of the Tuscan countryside and the city- I enjoyed hearing the lovely cathedral bells! The breakfast was quite good and the hotel clerk helped me book a taxi on my departure date. (the historic, exposed wall painting was in the hallway of my room!) The views were from my room.

An excellent stop on the Via Francigena. Views out over the courtyard and the church. Service was incredible. When we arrived our baggage had been delivered to another Hotel Miravelle (same owners different part of town). Reception went and got our bag for us! Top notch service. Excellent breakfast in modern dining room.

We were unable to get dinner in the hotel restaurant (my fault for not booking in advance), but the hotel provided recommendations. If you want to eat here book in advance.

Superbly located, this place exudes a slightly faded glamour. Wonderful views if you ask for it! A short walk takes you into town and some interesting bars and restaurants. Parking was not the problem suggested by some. Friendly staff.

Our room was comfortable but bathroom was indeed fairly dated. Not a deal breaker though.
