We stayed in an apartment in Siracusa with a room that had a distant sea view. We also had a terrace where we enjoyed beautiful sunsets. The rooms were spacious, including a roomy bathroom, and the breakfast was good. The hotel is just across the street from the train station—literally a one-minute walk—and there’s a bus stop right behind it, perfect for exploring the city or visiting Ortigia. The people were welcoming, and the hosts were wonderful—really made us feel at home!

July 2025. It was just for one night. The room was quite small, but sufficient for an overnight stay. The hotel is located right next to the bus station. It is not far from the city center. There is a set of towels and fast internet. I was unable to attend breakfast, but the staff provided me with a packed lunch for the road.

It's a shame that the view from the window wasn't towards the city, but there were blinds. The bed is small, but sufficient for a room like this.

It’s a small hotel across the train station and about 100 meters to the bus station which can take you almost anywhere. A small but tasty breakfast provided which are the bonus. What surprises me the most was genuine and friendly staff, from a woman in breakfast to the young receptionist man. A 3 star hotel with a five star service. We booked 4 rooms of various sizes. The rooms were all clean and quite adequate for our needs. They were cleaned and fresh towels each day. Breakfast was continental and there was always enough to eat no matter what time you turned up. The location is excellent, train station across the road and the bus station round the corner. Several bars and restaurants near by and just a 10 minute walk on to Ortigia. Excellent value for money.

The only downside of the location is if you leave the windows open at night, it can be a little noisy with traffic in the morning.

Staff were exceptional. Easy to communicate with. Fabulous freshly cooked breakfasts. Cuppacinno's on demand and freely offered out of breakfast times when we returned from walking all day. Best of all, only 1 minute's walk from train station. Fabulous baroque town of Noto only a short ride away.

The odd mosquito came in at night but that is life.

Directly across from the train station and 1 block from city busses. Could not be better for public transit! Cappuccino and croissants were very good in the morning. The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious with comfortable beds. Staff was on site until 10 pm and very helpful.

The apartment has a narrow curving staircase. Not easy with suitcases.

Welcoming! Where old meets modern and new! The host, Gino, greeted us and carried a bag or two to the property. After completing paperwork we were shown the property. A lovely room and an up to date bathroom. The bed linens and towels were fresh and new. There was a nice set up for breakfast, including coffee. We met a fabulous taxi driver who took us to the important sights. He made our visit to Agrigento perfect.

The lovely town of Agrigento, Sicily built on a hill 100’s of years ago all very charming however between the hill climb and stair climb it’s a workout. Not so good on bad sciatic nerves. But the workout was worth it.

I really liked the place and especially staff. They are wonderful people. I stayed in the hotel for a week and I felt if I were at home. I also appreciate for the staff making effort to speak in a different language apart of Italian and making conversation with guests. Location was also good. Just beside the train station and also not far away from the Ortigia where you can find beautiful places to visit, nice pathways to walk, restaurants and a great night life. I am highly recommend Como hotel for everyone.

There is nothing that I didn't like about the Como hotel.

Super location, 25 meters across from Siracusa Centrale, around the corner from the inter-city and local buses, and walkable if you like to Ortigia, to the interesting archaelogical park, and to Basilica Santa Lucia al Sepolcro to enjoy the Caravaggio masterpiece of the burial of Santa Lucia. Please note: Chiesa Santa Lucia alla Badia near the Duomo has only a reproduction of this painting. Good, clean, comfy accommodation. Helpful, willing staff, although without much English. Quite a nice breakfast. Was sold out both nights of my stay and was well-patronized by Italian guests. Highly recommended, in an enchanting city.

I had no disappointments.

Location was about 15-20minute walk to Syracuse Old Town which was good. Bed was very comfortable, shower was decent, air con unit seemed relatively new which was a definite plus in the heat we had! Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Right by the train station which was a plus for us as we were travelling Sicily by train.

Room was on the ground floor so quite noisy with guests coming and going, but I sleep with earplugs when away anyway due to general hotel/guest noise so it didn't bother me too much. Window opened on to what looked like a building site, so I didn't feel comfortable opening the curtains at all during my stay. If the noise of trains bothers you then it may not be for you, but I didn't notice them too late at night/early in the morning.
