We stumbled upon this hotel completely by chance, and it turned out to be the best choice of our trip! Perched on top of a hill with its own garden and grounds, this place is like a hidden sanctuary. The terrace is amazing – it has a panoramic view over the Ticino River and is the perfect spot to watch the sunset. Sitting there, taking in the view, was just magical. Breakfast here was a treat, too, with delicious homemade lemonade and jam. And if you stay for dinner, you’re in for a real feast; it all looks like a piece of art! The whole place feels lovingly crafted, and you can tell the owners care deeply about it. They’re a wonderful family – super friendly and genuinely interesting people who make you feel right at home.

Our only regret? We only had one night to spend here! I’d happily come back and stay longer to soak in the peaceful vibe and beautiful scenery. Highly recommended!

Among the many hotels we stayed during 1 week in italia, milano, bergamo, bologna, fano modena, Arezzo, Marmari beach with even posh hotels we enjoyed this the most. It was personal, felt like family and really good taken care of. If you are spoiled and only want high end luxury then this is not for you, unless you are humble and thankful. This is for those who value nature, the rustic, the family feel, to be in the nature, to those who want to lower your shoulders, breath air, walk in nature simply relax without being served on a silver plate.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the most perfect location for the end of my trip. The accommodation was truly exceptional, offering stunning views and luxurious amenities that made my stay truly unforgettable. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. I couldn't have asked for a better place to conclude my travels. I will definitely be recommending this location to all of my friends and family for their future trips.

We loved absolutely everything about this place. The room was excellent, very clean with beautiful views, the breakfast was perfect and the whole area was just magical. Nic and Julia were so lovely to our family and made us feel at home. Nic gave us great advice about activities nearby and we definitely recommend hiking through the forest and going to the beach (about 15min). The dogs, Zoe and Zeppola in particular, were also a huge highlight for my kids.

Giulia, the host, is an angel on Earth. I did experience some unexpected health issues and had to stay in Sant'Anna for a week instead of a day. Little did I know that I was the best place for it - Giulia and Emilio gave me rides to and from doctors, helped translate and navigate the situation while abroad. They literally took care. of me and a very complicated situation with zero problem. The place has wonderful healing energy and a stellar view and sunset. Sometimes Nic is around, who is an amazing chef and will create magical food out of nowhere. I cannot express my gratitude enough for this place and people. No money in the World could justify the care and support I received. Please stay with them, they are truly the best!!!

Giulia and Emelio were super welcoming, fetching us from the airport, preparing a fabulous lunch, with aromatic herbal tea with a dramatic and expansive view of the river and the vast nature conservation area below. When our daughter fell and hurt herself, requiring medical attention, they immediately jumped in and called around to check for best options. Emelio escorted myself and our daughter to the hospital, translating from Italian to English. When we are back in Milan, we will most definitely book here again, and this time make sure that we have enough time to explore the large property, running down to the expansive river, with chestnut trees and blueberry bushes dotted between the rich natural greenery.

This was an absolutely fabulous stay; I can’t recommend it enough!! We were greeted by Emilio in the evening and he made dinner reservations for us at Castigo where we had an amazing meal. The view from the balcony overlooking the river and the mountains in the distance were beautiful. Emilio and Margaret met us for breakfast - she stayed up until 1am baking fresh blueberry mini Bundt cakes for us and he made us fresh scrambled eggs and offered Greek yogurt with tasty granola mix for my partner who has a dairy intolerance. Margaret came back from working the blueberry fields before breakfast with freshly picked blueberries and raspberries! We plan to return and spend more than just 1 night next time. The room was cozy, but in a good way - we don’t need much room and the decor was wonderful (cast iron headboard and decor looked really nice) and the bed was comfy. The bathroom is part of the bedroom but that didn’t bother us one bit. Emilio pointed out a room that had a huge glass window facing the river and mountains - it was already occupied but we will reserve it next time for sure!

Um,… Leaving was the worst part of the entire experience.

1. Accommodation was clean, spacious, and modern 2. The beds were the most comfortable during a three-week excursion through Switzerland, Northern Italia, and Southern Italia. 3. Fantastic showers with great water pressure and hot water. 4. Air conditioning was very comfortable in all the rooms and worked excellently. 5. The owners were some of the kindest and most gentle people you could ever hope to meet. In fact, they made the stay beyond exceptional. These are the type of people who you wish you could visit every day. They are positive, loving, kind, positive beautiful people. 6. If you thought the rooms were great, the land around the buildings is something you see in photo books. You will not believe this oasis in the middle of a suburban metropolis exists. It takes you away to a peaceful place where you can truly relax and reenergize.

Nothing could have been better. Best place we have stayed in over 10 years of annual trips to the country.

I just loved the beautiful nature around the property. Familiy was very very friendly and helpful. The pick-up from Malpensa was so helpful. Their dogs were adorable. The room was very cosy, the breakfast was excellent with homemade blueberry jam and pie. I practiced yoga on their terrace, which was so nice. I highly recommend their place if you love nature and appreciate genuiness.

The people. Guilia and Amelio were out of this world. Went above and beyond to make us comfortable and immediately felt like friends. The location. Beautiful property overlooking blueberries, water, the Alps. The rooms. Everything was clean and just what we needed. Comfortable for our family of 7! The breakfast. What a treat! Delicious breakfast, loved getting to try the blueberries! This will be a forever memory!
